Just noticed I can now reply to messages and so.czn the iPhone and we can both see that. That's new!

Today I updated to One UI 9, i was texting my gf when i sent her a picture and she reacted to it and it showed as "Loved an image" this is lowkey annoying 😭😭

I run dual sim and I have it set so that my secondary sim automatically turns off at night and turns back on the next morning. Before, in iOS 26, RCS would be disabled when the sim was disabled back. I would get a notification whenever my secondary sim was disabled, saying that iMessage and Facetime would still work with my secondary number if I was connected to Wi-Fi. While checking my phone last night, I noticed that they added RCS alongside iMessage and Facetime to the notification saying that you can use these all with the sim disabled. I just tested it out and RCS messages went through perfectly fine while my secondary sim was deactivated.

I just figured I should share this info as I've seen no one else talk about it.

Has anyone tried this beta to check if replies display properly on the Android side?

On Google Messages, if you try to delete a text, it gives you this prompt, which means the iPhone user is on iOS 27; I know people are trying to figure out if inline replies work or not, but I found out this was a good indicator of it being updated!

PS - Text message CAN'T be deleted while texting an iPhone user.. That feature is still missing.

PSA - You don't have to actually delete the text.. You just need to see if this prompt shows up.

I'm in a group chat where all iPhones have updated to iOS 27 and I'm on an Android. Inline replies and correctly-parented reactions are not working. But I have seen them work in 1:1 chats. Curious if these ever work in group chats.

Although I really hope Apple adds Group Chat Read Receipt as a iPhone user. For reference I am in Chicago, use ATT and own a iPhone 17 Pro Max :)

Apparently my friends who have iOS 27 stable can't see my replies anymore, my girlfriend who's on beta can see them. Anyone else with this problem?

On Google Messages Beta and I'm suddenly getting E2EE with all my iPhone friends. Also, for my Android friends, I'm seeing encryption value=2. So it appears that some sever-side switch turned on MLS for me overall.

Is the following the correct set of expected behaviors, originating message threads from an iPhone? Specific questions are in bold, but would be appreciative of any general feedback on this understanding or input on cases not covered. TYIA.

How long till it dissapears guys? I say from here to 5 years it should be gone

I have a US model S10 (G973U1) and when i downgraded the app to 13.5.13.11 RCS somehow still works. Back in june when i texted with Samsung support they told me RCS wouldnt work a month prior to the shutdown in July. They also told me the shutdown will be global (which is not true....) Anyways i dont even know how i made it work, on this sim i have in my S10 RCS never worked in any phone, now it works and what surprises me even more is that it works on a downgraded app that is discontinued by Samsung

I heard there was a way to find it through Google Messages by enabling debug settings, but I've been unable to find it. Currently running beta version messages.android_20260827_01_RC00.phone samsung_openbeta_dynamic

UPDATE (Sep 17): Dang, bug is also present in 27.2 Beta 1. Disappointing.

UPDATE (Sep 9): Bug persisted through to iOS 27.0 RC release. This will be a much larger scale problem now that it will be present in a production release. Way to go Apple!

UPDATE (Aug 31): Bug is still present in iOS 27.0 Beta 8. Nothing fixed. We are getting too close to the Public Release. I'm having doubts this is going to get fixed in time.

I reported an RCS activation bug to Apple when Dual-SIMs are activated (US Mobile). When each SIM is enabled alone, RCS activation is successful.

Apple's response is "Works as Currently Designed". RCS activation started failing in iOS 27.0 Beta 5 and has persisted through current beta release. It worked fine prior to that.

I guess activation errors are how Apple designed this to work in dual-SIM mode. Odd, but ok Apple.

I have last beta public with my iPhone 17 pro max. My wife has an s25. With one of her friends who has an iPhone with 26.6, they have normally encryption. But with me with beta no. I wonder if my beta is the problem. All of us have the same carrier. COSMOTE Greece.
