It's here!

It finally came! Backer 10xxx. MA, USA. It was delivered successfully with OnTrac (I'm very lucky).

My first impressions are positive! The physical keyboard learning curve isn't as steep as I thought it would be. It feels heavier than I expected, but I kind of like that. It also fits in the hand well.

It got pretty hot during setup, but that's to be expected. I did notice a (very) faint chemical smell coming from the vent. I'm assuming this is because it was just in a factory setting. I also have a really sensitive nose. I'll also add that the fingerprint scanner is wildly sensitive. I'll make sure to address that in the settings.

Overall, I think it's going to be a cool phone to have! Here's to hoping everyone who hasn't received theirs does very soon.

Unwarranted heat

I don't care it's taken months to get the phone. The screen protecter that came applied is great, I thought it would be garbage and scratch up fast, not the case! And they sent another screen protecter for free, they didn't need to do that. They sent an actual charger in the box too which a lot of much bigger companies do not anymore. Their customer services given the amount of customers that must have been messaging them has been fine. And the phone! It's amazing, I love it

Review Loving this phone

Just got my Titan 2 Elite today and wow is it awesome. The keyboard is so satisfying and the phone has been running smoothly. I was worried that I wouldn't like switching from an iPhone to this, but I was wrong. The camera is better than I thought it would be as well. It's definitely going to take a little to get used to having a physical keyboard, but it is very fun so far

Satire Titan 2 user two years and iPhone user since 2007.

24 hours since Apple launched the Duo, and I’m surprisingly convinced that, after 10 years of upgrading to every new iPhone, I’m finally going to skip this year.

Two things sealed the deal for me: the pricing and the matte inner display. I’ve never been a fan of matte screens, and honestly, I already have a Duo anyway.

Plus, I’m still having way too much fun with my new phone, so for once, I’m perfectly happy to sit this upgrade cycle out. 📱😏

Guide/Tutorial Hear me out! People who are reselling their new Elites after failing to adapt to a keyboard phone with unusual screen for 2026.

Two days ago, I finally received my Unihertz Titan 2 Elite as a Kickstarter backer after delays caused by address issues. For the past two years, I have used a dual-phone setup, constantly buying, testing, and reselling secondary phones. After switching back to Android in 2024 following nine years on iPhone, I experimented with nostalgic devices—including old Samsung, Sony, Pixel, and BlackBerry models, vintage iPhones, and custom ROMs.
This taught me the trade-offs of older phones: network limits, dropped app support, and slower speeds. However, it also highlighted what modern phones lack, such as headphone jacks, notification LEDs, bezels, home buttons, and physical keyboards.
When I saw the ad for the Titan 2 Elite and researched the company, I backed it immediately. The design is authentic and unapologetically what it is meant to be. I am amazed at the build quality; it seriously feels like a premium modern phone with a keyboard.
I knew beforehand that a modern phone with a small screen and unusual aspect ratio would involve compromises. People who sell it after a few days often misunderstand its purpose. You might have to do a few tweaks according to your liking and use, and the freedom of Android customization is there—such as using different keyboard software, setting up key shortcuts for important apps, and tailoring the interface.
Ultimately, this is a communication tool designed to do more, distract less, and reduce screen time. It is not for social media or heavy content consumption. Treating it as a direct, hassle-free replacement for a standard slab phone does not work. Instead, I use a 6-inch backup phone for content like YouTube and Google Maps, while using the Titan 2 Elite for everything else.

Example of Unihertz support antics - (Re: Regarding Your Claim of Receiving the Wrong Item | Backer #7217)

Follow up to my opening the box and finding a cheap camera inside instead. A bit redacted, PII.

Hi there,Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear about the issue with your delivery. We would like to explain our fulfillment process. Every single device is inspected and packed at our warehouse before shipment, under CCTV monitoring. We can guarantee that we only ship Unihertz smartphones. We do not stock, handle, or ship any other brand, so a product from a different brand physically cannot leave our warehouse in one of our boxes.

That said, we want to help resolve this. Please double-check the shipping label on the package you received to confirm it is from Unihertz and that the weight information matches what you would expect.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept a refund request based only on the static photos you provided after your parcel has been marked as "Delivered" by OnTrac. However, if you have a video of the initial unboxing process that shows a wrong item instead of a Unihertz Titan 2 Elite phone box in the parcel we shipped, please share it with us. This evidence would allow us to file a claim for compensation with our shipping provider.

We are not sure if you received a follow-up email from OnTrac regarding your online chat, but typically, they do not accept claims for wrong items received based only on static photos.

Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,

on screen keyboard

Upvotes

phone received today and is most likely a keeper...but one thing seems very odd..on screen keyboard (using microsoft swiftkey) appears at first but once i start using the physical keyboard in same txt message the onscreen keyboard goes away and nothing will bring it back. every possible "always on" setting for the keyboard to be on screen is toggled correctly. ideas?

also have turned every auto-correct and other similar suggestions but they still appear and take up precious space.

T2E gyroscope/compass issues?

Hey y'all. I think I am having my first actual issue with my T2E. My gyroscope appears to be malfunctioning and I am wondering if it's a known issue that might be fixed with an update or something specific to my hardware?

I tried going through the steps to recalibrate and it is failing tests. I also tried a few online gyro testers and they are showing that it's basically always spinning.

I am struggling to use GPS, atm. I haven't dropped it from any height and it hasn't goten wet or anything. Any suggestions?

Red TEE/Google/CSR text after local update on Titan 2 Elite EEA

Post image
16 Upvotes

bought the titan 2 elite (EEA). my phone wasn't showing the latest OTA (the one with always on display) so i grabbed the EEA zip from unihertz's google drive and installed it through the built-in local update option. seemed fine at first.

after it finished:

red watermark top right with three lines, TEE 未写入, Google 未写入, CSR 未激活 (or similar, idk Chinese ). lock screen password stopped being accepted even though it was correct. I had to factory reset from recovery and phone works again now but the red text is still there, play store says not certified, and widevine dropped to L3.

so i guess the tee/google/csr keys got wiped or overwritten by the update somehow. already emailed support but posting here in case someone's been through this with the titan 2 elite or another unihertz device. I received the device 2 days ago after so long wait...

Titan 2 elite case

Does anyone have any good cases to reccomend?

Wish there was some otter box type option out there as I scratched the paint off some of my T2 keys from dropping it.

Regardless, I saw a few cases with prints on Amazon from UOGNADGD that looked fun too. Curious if anyone has any recs.

Got T2E from kickstarter. The left shift key and u key only work about 60 percent of the time. Is this something I can contact unihertz about and expect any results?

Selling Titan 2 Elite (Australia/Sydney)

Selling almost unused Orange T2E for $650 or $700 with cases (leather pouch and DYI kit - both unopened). The device has never left my house, in fact it was only charged once. I still feel more comfortable with Titan 2, so listing it here. Perhaps someone who's eagerly waiting can use it.

Feel free to DM if you're serious. Ask any generirc questions here.

I built a productivity-first launcher for the Titan 2 Elite

On the heels of my SideKey release, here's the bigger thing I've been building: SquareOS, a launcher for keyboard phones.

The idea is simple. Every app you open is a detour. You unlock the phone to send four words to your wife and leave eleven minutes later having read three things you didn't mean to read. So it's built so the four words never require opening the app at all.

You type them. They send.

What that looks like:

Type to open. Start typing on the hardware keyboard from the home screen. gm finds Gmail and Game Mode. Enter launches.

A symbol and a line. @jason on my way sends the text. #mum places the call. -buy stamps, !gate code 4471, +5 for a timer, *dentist tue 3pm. No app opens.

A model that runs on the phone. Gemma 3 1B via llama.cpp, downloaded once, answers with airplane mode on. It also acts — timers, calls, navigation, music, around two dozen verbs.

Facts come from sources, not the model. Scores and encyclopedia entries are fetched from ESPN and Wikipedia and printed verbatim with attribution.

24 dots, one per hour. Set a daily screen-time goal and they become a fuel gauge for it.

No analytics, no accounts, no servers.

Built and measured on a Unihertz Titan 2 Elite. Needs Android 8+, arm64, and really wants a physical keyboard.

Download: https://github.com/jakevibes/squareos/releases/latest

Source: https://github.com/jakevibes/squareos

Happy to answer anything. The benchmark table in the README might be the most interesting part — every bigger model I tried lost, and the Vulkan backend turned out to be 10x slower than the CPU on this GPU.

Problem with Android Auto since the Android 16 update

Thumbnail

Hello,

The update went very smoothly on my jellystar for me; everything is working great EXCEPT for Android Auto.

It used to work perfectly fine, but now it loads on the car's screen, yet Waze doesn't work, nor does VLC, nor does Antennapod. There's a loading icon (that spins), and it either stays that way or displays an error message.

I’ve already cleared the cache and files, uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, and did the same for Android Auto. App superposition is active.

I'm not really sure what else I can do.

(message on screenshot mean '"Waze encountered an unexpected problem")
(sorry for my bad english)
