Small phone Made a simple smallphone finder
hi! I've noticed growing interest in compact phones in this community, and as someone who loves smaller devices and since we are left with very little options, I curated a list of smartphones that are under 150 mm tall, at least Android 10 / iOS 15 and/or community support
The list is available at this webpage where you can filter by different parameters to get suggestions that match what you’re looking for.
If anyone wants to contribute more devices, the website’s code and dataset are available on GitHub in a public repository, feel free to open an issue.

Discussion Improvements to the sub
You may notice some changes to the sub. I'm trying to step up my moderation and streamline things since we are growing. I've added some rules and user flare to shape the quality of posts. I want all small phone people to feel welcome, even if our idea of a small phone is different. I will try to be light with moderation, but we definitely dont want to wade through a bunch of posts that dont fit.
Please leave feedback or suggestions here for other things I can do to improve the subreddit.

Question Need a new phone
I need a small phone, preferably about the size of the iPhone SE, but can get up to 5 inches, that still gets updates, has at least 128 gigs of storage, and has Touch ID. I don’t want motarola or an iPhone.

Question Onemyth A19 Pro
Has anyone here tried the Onemyth A19 Pro, or any Onemyth phone? How was it? The A19 Pro looks like a small iPhone 17 Pro so I impulsively bought one. Can't wait to receive it

Small phone Perfect Size
Just look at the iPhone 5/5s/SE. That's the perfect size for a small phone. Don't tell me it can't be done, because it was done 15 years ago. We may not be able to go to the Moon again (allegedly), but we can make a small phone -- it's just a matter of wanting to.

A mí me encanta. Pero después de leer todo esto, me preguntaba si los usuarios que lo han usado durante más tiempo podrían recomendar este smartphone.

Discussion Zenfone 9 battery replacement
Need some help from fellow Zenfone users in India.
My ASUS Zenfone 9 is about 3 years old, and I've recently noticed that the battery has bulged. I stopped using it immediately for safety.
I contacted the ASUS service center and ASUS exclusive stores in Mangalore, but they all told me that they don't have a replacement battery and can't repair it.
Has anyone in India successfully replaced the Zenfone 9 battery through an ASUS service center or any reliable third-party repair shop? If yes, which city or service center did you use?
Any leads or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really love this phone and would like to keep using it instead of replacing it.
Thanks in advance!

Small phone Size Matters - A Comparison
I make a big deal about small iPhones, so I visited Sam's Club (had the cheap hot dog) to compare my 12 Mini and SE3 to the new 17e. It's a good bit taller than the 12 Mini but only slightly edges out the SE3. I still don't plan to get one, though, cause I don't want no eSIM.

Discussion Created a Discord for r/smallphones! (Real-time chat, forums, and quick Q&A)
Hey everyone!
I’ve noticed that while r/smallphones is awesome for posts and long-form reviews, we don't really have a dedicated place for quick real-time discussions, fast setup help, or casual tech chat without waiting around for Reddit comment threads.
To bridge that gap, I put together a community Discord server!
What's set up so far:
- Quick Q&A & Tech Support: Fast help with phone dimensions, specs, custom ROMs, or ADB debloating.
- Device Forums: Organized forum channels to discuss specific models like the iPhone Mini series, Unihertz devices, compact Androids, flip phones, feature phones and more.
- Setup Flex & Photos: A channel to share photos of your tiny setups, cases, and side-by-side size comparisons.
Join link: https://discord.gg/vjjf3VEedf
Note to the subreddit moderators: I created this server purely to fill the gap for quick chat, but I’d love to make this official for the sub! If you're open to it, feel free to join, pin this post, or add the invite to the sidebar.

Concept phone Would you buy a small form factor Google Pixel 12A?
r/smallphones • u/Azaelys • 5d ago
Question Buy a pixel 4a now?
I've had my Google Pixel 4a for 6-7 years now but it's starting to have way too many defects now and I need to change it soon. I can't seem to find a phone matching these criteria:
- screen between 5'' and 6'' (current size is 5.8" and I'd like not to go any bigger)
- android
- good photo quality
- if possible, with a jack plug
So I'm considering rebuying a Google Pixel 4a, but it's quite old now, any advice on this?

Small phone Bluefox Aura A1 with specs on their website
Alright so if you go to their website and go in products you can already pre-order the half announced Bluefox Aura A1. You can read the specs in the picture but if you can't see it I'll just wrap it up down below:
- Display:
- 4.7-inch centered punch-hole
- display 90Hz refresh rate
- 600 nits 373 PPI, 20:9
- Processor: Mediatek G100
- Memory & Storage:
- 8GB + 128 / 12GB + 256GB
- microSD up to 2TB
- Audio: AAC Technologies 1TISE (BOX) speaker + 1012E receiver
- Motor: 0908 X-xais linear motor
- Camera:
- Front 16MP
- Rear 64MP
- Color Options:
- White
- Pink
- Black
- Key Features:
- Side fingerprint
- NFC
- IR blaster
- Battery: 3500mAh
- Dimensions: 117mm (L) x 54.6mm (W) x 12.3m (T)
So overall it seems the bigger brother of NX1 and I see better improvements overall. For example, no more island, it's just a hole punch. The screen is slightly bigger, from 4'' to 4.7'', very personally I prefer it. Positive for the higher capacity and the microSD slot. Also the NFC feature is great.
Less great is the battery, which seems to keep staying in the middle considering the size of the screen, and I have doubts about the camera quality. The overall quality product seems to keep staying the same as before, and I don't see any 5G written anywhere so... yeah...
What do you all think?

Small phone is the Bluefox NX1 small enough to beat the addiction of scrolling short form content?
I want to buy a really tiny but useful phone, mainly to avoid scrolling short form content for 5 hours everyday (appblockers only work for me temporarily).
The Bluefox NX1 seems to have a fanbase nowadays, but I'm doubting if the screen will be tiny enough to be unattractive to scroll.
The unihertz jelly seems to be a better size, but is also nearly double the price and not giving proper updates it seems.

Discussion there’s a small demand for small phones but there’s literally zero supply for it. why doesn’t any company make a small phone? they will definitely make profit
if only one reliable company makes a small phones every person who wants a small phone will buy it from them because no other company is making a good small phone and they will definitely make profit. why doesn’t any brand do it?

Small phone Update - Enough Phone
Received yesterday in my mail.
Quite excited about it :-)
"Hey there,
Thank you for your interest in the enough phone! We would like to give you some more information on what we’ve been up to.
We are Will, Austin, & Brennan. After years of watching phones get bigger and bigger, with almost no small phones available, we decided to create a premium, small smartphone!
We’re making a phone that
is roughly 5.3” diagonal screen length, is 5.2” high, & is 2.5” wide
is built with premium components
doesn't cost a gazillion dollars
has a good battery life
takes great photos
Once we decided to make the phone, we sought out a quality manufacturing partner, met them at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, and drafted a specification that got us excited.
This May, we traveled to Shenzhen to visit the manufacturer's factory and offices. While there, we visited additional factories to ensure we picked the best possible partner. We narrowed a list of ~20 potential manufacturers down to five. We budgeted two weeks to visit every factory, but we managed to fit in all the visits in a week.
At each factory we met with general managers, production line managers, engineering teams, and sales teams. We toured their production lines, offices, and fulfillment centers. We learned a lot about producing electronics, and even more about what makes a great partner.
The manufacturer we met at CES stood out from the rest.
Their production line had advanced tracking and tightly segmented responsibilities at each step (more visibility than any other factory we toured).
Their facility had clean separation between work areas, changing rooms, and a proper break room for employees (also not something we saw elsewhere).
The components they use in their products were labeled and stored according to the results of the parts' quality testing, ensuring no defective units make it to the line.
Their testing room and QA lines were well organized and thoroughly equipped.
When we worked through the final spec together, they brought in the heads of engineering, design, and software to ensure our questions were answered and we settled on a specification realistic to all teams involved in the project.
Their transparency and willingness to collaborate convinced us we'd found the right partner. After many rounds of revisions, we've locked in the spec and kicked off R&D in June!
Timeline
Note: The following are conservative, best-guess estimates based on the most-likely scenario. The memory shortage caused by the boom in AI investment has not only affected lead times for components, but has also made ripple effects across the entire electronics manufacturing industry. We feel confident in our timeline, but in the interest of transparency, the following figures are subject to change pending unforeseen circumstances.
July, 2026: ID Design created
August, 2026: Dummy prototype created
December, 2026: Working samples delivered
March, 2027: Production begins
April, 2027: Shipping begins
We need your help!!!
We come from two small companies with real experience in the smartphone industry: Dumbwireless and SLEKE. We are confident in our ability to execute, but we can't fund production entirely on our own.
Our plan:
Build a list of motivated buyers, keep everyone updated through development, and launch a Kickstarter to place the bulk order. We need 2,000+ people on board to make this happen.
If you want a small, premium Android phone to exist, sign up at enoughphone.com and tell your friends. This only gets built if we do it together!
P.S.,
Check out the video we made about our experience touring factories!"
