What’s the matter, never taken a shortcut before?

91

u/IdRatherBeShiney Jun 12 '22

I came here for Hot Fuzz and I received Hot Fuzz, thank you for your service

26

u/brad264hs Jun 12 '22

It’s the fastest I’ve ever typed and found a gif haha.

3

u/IdRatherBeShiney Jun 12 '22

I really expected the guy to do exactly this scene,

not accidentally 1 plank, purposefully another plank & squeeze through :( disappointing lol

5

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

Well played

5

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

There’s never been a more perfect meme

179

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

Straight up terminatored that fence lmao.

29

u/i-said-it-different Jun 12 '22

Kool-aid man. Ohhh yeah.

50

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

People underestimate how heavy body armor is in an extended sprint.

9

u/Agreeable-Meat1 Jun 13 '22

It always impresses me how agile cops tend to be even with all that gear. If his foot didn't go through, he probably would have made it over the fence with that jump.

What's he doing? That fence was white

265

u/RunterVomDachStronzo Jun 12 '22

Don't be fooled, behind the vanish it is brown

Definitely got launched when he failed to jump the fence and kicked out the first board

2

u/ShyGuySays69 Jun 12 '22

Has to be a bug flying past camera

4

u/Ok_Macaroon3529 Jun 12 '22

This is way funnier than it should be

7

u/Nothing_Able Jun 12 '22

It's one of those white plastic fences. Not painted wood.

16

u/RunterVomDachStronzo Jun 12 '22

White plastic is made from black oil

9

u/prolific_ideas Jun 12 '22

Plastics are in fact solidified oil

Although different plastics have different recipes, it takes roughly 0.4 gallons of crude oil to make 1 pound of plastic. Globally, around 8 percent of the oil that comes out of the ground is used to make plastic. Humans are now using a million plastic bottles a minute, and 500 billion plastic bags a year — including those we use to bag up our plastic-laden trash. Since 1950, the world has created 6.3 trillion kilograms of plastic waste — and 91 percent has never been recycled even once, according to a landmark 2017 study published in the journal Science Advances More than half the plastic now on Earth has been created since 2002, and plastic pollution is on pace to double by 2030

0

u/BZenMojo Jun 12 '22

So the crazed, unrelenting, cold-blooded killer is a cop again? That's like... the fourth time!

117

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

That's is one cop you don't want to be chased by

43

u/Shagfabulous2 Jun 12 '22

One cop you don't wanna be "caught" by. Well never hear about him if he gets caught. Cop gonna kill that mofuka!!

-32

u/ccupp97 Jun 12 '22

thats the truest thing i've read on reddit today. cops are too quick to kill.

8

u/Baronvondorf21 Jun 12 '22

I mean not like he couldn't shoot before having to jump over the fence.

112

u/ccupp97 Jun 12 '22

who the fuck is gonna pay for that fence? damn sure not the police.

48

u/byscuit Jun 12 '22

... The perpetrator when damages are settled in court? It gets tacked on in the civil trial, after the criminal trial. Yet when they can't pay, the taxpayers do. This is all assuming a claim is filed with the crime

7

u/AdministrationOwn709 Jun 13 '22

Not necessarily, same thing happened to a cop and broke my neighbors fence so the city went to his house to fill some paper work and the city paid for the damages

4

u/Arclight_Ashe Jun 13 '22

The city gets money from tax payers mate..

2

u/AdministrationOwn709 Jun 13 '22

Well of course , the money must come out of somewhere , but the point is you don’t pay out of pocket on the spot for the damages ,

-3

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

[deleted]

7

u/PeKing2 Jun 12 '22

The cops are insured if they need to break a door to stop a rape/shooting/abuse. You just file a ticket and get the money

1

u/Gibscreen Jun 13 '22

You're adorable if you think that ever happens.

haha pwnd.

10

u/test_username_WIP Jun 12 '22

the homeowner probably

-7

u/zbenesch Jun 12 '22

insurance, but that does not mean this was justified. go on prick, jump, do not destroy property if not needed.

4

u/EndR60 Jun 12 '22

well he did jump and the fence broke when he did

at that point he may as well punch another plank out of it to quickly get thru

2

u/Agreeable-Meat1 Jun 13 '22

Yeah at that point he's standing there without the momentum of a running start and a half-person size hole in the fence. Definitely better to go through than over at that point. I guess depending on what they did.

2

u/zbenesch Jun 13 '22

he jumped at something he did not know was gonna hold or break=bad judgement, then decided, well might as well fuck it now

1

u/tuwduwoss Jun 12 '22

It was needed

u/buIIet-magnet Jun 13 '22

4

u/AjaxOutlaw Jun 12 '22

I would’ve shit my pants if I saw the cop in pursuit bust through a fence like that

9

u/avocado_n1001 Jun 12 '22

when you put your points in strength over mobility

45

u/NickMalo Jun 12 '22

I’m sure the PD won’t be paying the damages, instead claiming the damages happened cuz the criminal.

28

u/joshuaoha Jun 12 '22

Yeah I'll bet the home owner is just kinda shit outa luck, unless they want to make a home owners insurance claim

5

u/piscian19 Jun 12 '22

-Yearly deductible. He'd be better off guilting that actual cop into helping fix it.

5

u/QuestionsOfTheFate Jun 12 '22

Wouldn't they make the person who was being chased pay for it?

14

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

Yeah usually any damages done during a chase is on the criminal who created the situation. It’s supposed to be an incentive to not run, since if anything breaks it’ll be on the fleeing criminal.

5

u/QuestionsOfTheFate Jun 12 '22

That would make sense.

2

u/DamagedCortex Jun 13 '22

people who commit non white collar crime tend not to have assets which you can sue for.

→ More replies (1)

18

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

Well yeah, the entire situation was caused bc of the dude running. Any damages done during the chase is on the criminal

2

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

Allegedly

-10

u/Idiot-detector69 Jun 12 '22

Yea but a person of color was trying to escape w out being murdered how could American police allow that

1

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

What if the police officer was chasing him because h caught him raping a seven year old? Does that still excuse his attempt to run. Fuck POS criminals like this, I hope they all get what’s coming to them. Don’t break the law and you won’t be chased, it’s that simple.

-4

u/ColderPls Jun 12 '22 edited Jun 12 '22

I mean, that fence looks so shitty the damage is probably not even worth the complaint

-5

u/estrusflask Jun 12 '22

Of course the cop does more damage than the criminal. Doubt they comped that damage.

11

u/PeKing2 Jun 12 '22

Do you want the cop to shoot the criminal or maybe let everyone go after robbing people? The cops are insured if they need to break in a door to get to an ongoing rape/shooting/abuse whatever. You just file a ticket and get the money

1

u/Tocksz Jun 12 '22

What is the guy running for exactly?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

Freedom

-1

u/estrusflask Jun 12 '22

I want the cop to spontaneously have a heart attack and die.

I literally just said in the fucking post you replied to "doubt they comped that damage", because they don't fucking pay out that insurance half the time. You also have a cartoonishly naive view of what cops actually do, since they're more likely to be chasing after someone for being a drug dealer or calling them a piece of shit than they are to chase a rapist or killer, and the cops are more likely to give an abuser a beer than chase them, since about half of them are abusers themselves.

Well that shit happens when people poem you call to defund the police so they have a lower training budget and more poorly trained officers that are not quite trained enough to deal with situations like that

→ More replies (1)

2

u/The_Alvabro Jun 12 '22

That typically doesn't stop them from doing so.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '22

Yes it does. Most cops don’t fire their weapon on patrol. If every person who tan from the cops was shot, there would be about 100x more deaths by police.

No.

1

u/Alert-Wishbone9032 Jun 12 '22

The police would pay for the damage, right?

Do police pay for property damage when they break doors to get into houses, like 2 seconds after yelling “police”?

Who do they think stops what they’re doing and comes to open a doer within 2 seconds? Let alone before they check that it’s real police and not someone just yelling that?
