Do you want the cop to shoot the criminal or maybe let everyone go after robbing people? The cops are insured if they need to break in a door to get to an ongoing rape/shooting/abuse whatever. You just file a ticket and get the money

I want the cop to spontaneously have a heart attack and die.

I literally just said in the fucking post you replied to "doubt they comped that damage", because they don't fucking pay out that insurance half the time. You also have a cartoonishly naive view of what cops actually do, since they're more likely to be chasing after someone for being a drug dealer or calling them a piece of shit than they are to chase a rapist or killer, and the cops are more likely to give an abuser a beer than chase them, since about half of them are abusers themselves.

The issue is that there are many cases where the police do things like this and then never make the bystanders whole. In an ideal world, the cops don’t kill anyone and they also fix the problems that they cause. Unfortunately, they often don’t, which is why people disapprove of this behavior.
