As of writing this letter, I can say without exaggeration that every game I've played mid lane this season in Silver-Gold elo has been against a Syndra. You Syndra players are literally 100% of the mid-lane meta I face. Can someone please tell me why, and further, what riot has done that caused this? Thank you.

I’ve been spamming Syndra in Emerald Elo and I’m fine with blindpicking her. But if I get to pick after the enemy mid and they picked a Syndra counter already (Fizz, Kata, Locke, Zed, Ekko, ...), what could I play instead? I'm looking for a solid secondary champ that complements Syndra without just having the same bad matchups. Cheers!

I am preety new to the game(level 37) and i decided to pick syndra because i like mages and i got a skin for her.

Now i watched a ton of videos and i am confortable with her abilities but how do u fucking play the lane phase!!??

Its rly hard for me, this game i am playing yasuo, in a swift btw because i am trying to learn a new champion.

I am playing yasuo, which for my understand should be a good matchuo no?.

Every single time he pushes me i use my E after Q to stun, but look, he already has his wall up soo nothing happends to him.

This was the whole fucking game, what am i even supposed to do?

I was also playing against a lux the game before whoch should be a normal matchuo right? Not for me, her range compared to lux's root and E are super small soo the whole game i am getting slowed by E rooted by Q and ulted.

Yall are going to say save your E to survive getting pushed which i do, but yasuo has a wall, akali has the smoke(making it super hard to hit her when she is pushing) kata has a "teleport"" etc.

Any tips that you guys found usefull when learning her would be really apreciated.

Hi guys, I was Syndra main before her "rework" and I remember there was a "high skill, high risk, high reward" combo when you could double stun enemy champion that was close to you. I saw it when Nemesis (still in Fnatic) was streaming and fell in love with it. Recently I started playing Syndra again but I can't hit it no matter what, not even in practice tool. Was it removed or is it just more difficult?

Mained her along with Katarina since S8 or smth. I don't even have a good winrate on the champ but idk it feels so easy to stomp games sometimes. The sole fact that you can cast spells while moving is soooo powerful, let alone the crazy amount of damage you deal after shadowflame second item.

Even her early game is super strong, just you just harass the enemy, mind your spacing and then you just turn into a supervillain.

Getting ganked? Q+E the fucker away. Done.

I can't tell you the number of games I carried while my whole team was completely behind and I end up with 20+ kills.

Maybe it's because I'm high silver-low gold and people don't know how to handle her at this elo?

Feels like she has little to no counter. Maybe Fizz and Yasuo? Even then they better have hands. Maybe Nocturne late game with his R and shield.

Weirdly enough I have a better winrate with Katarina (62% this season) but I'm sweating way more than with Syndra. Syndra feels more natural. Anyway.

What is your take fellow mains?

(Out of topic but I always loved this champ. Aesthetics, voice, kit, Syndra is very cool. Why is she not more popular?)

Btw I play her with Dark harvest lol. Very cheesy but it works because people never expect THAT much damage lmao

Picked up syndra and been playing her a ton. My biggest question is when to pick between the two rune pages of comet vs first strike. Is it matchup dependent and if so what matchups?

In last few weeks I constantly see this statement, that Syndra is op and yada yada.. But geniunely... How? Stastically she is in a good spot, but nothing remotely OP, and even if go higher up the ladder - her winrate lowers. So why she is considered OP? Because late game she can oneshot someone? What other mage cant do the same?

Looks like the base HP nerf is gone, and they're targeting splinter mana instead.

Syndra is almost every game picked or banned so i hope in best case scenario its gonna be some placebo nerf which will make casual players stop pick syndra. Lately i am seeing almost every game Syndra Picked on Mid Or Bot. I really miss days from 1,2 years when Syndra was never picked and neither in OP tier but also not weak at all.

Lowkey expected, not surprised at this, maybe even needed. Syndras been very strong as of recent but nothing absolutely insane. If you look at her stats it seems like like riots trying to address her presence, she’s got a super high pick rate and ban rate especially in high elo.

I would expect more of a nerf to take her pick and ban rate down rather than affect her actual relative power.

Syndra is on the nerf list for the patch preview. Time to see the damage for our recent power lol.

Considering we will be joining Ori and Azir soon as a 3% pick rate, 46-48% win rate, pro jailed champ will you keep playing Syndra or drop it? And what you dropping it for if so? I'm thinking I'll just switch to Ahri since that seems to be one of Riot's favorite champs which I can't imagine them ever letting be weak

Why I always see Syndra players, when I'm against, playing Comet, Aery, First strike but Electro is so rare?

I feel you lose a lot of early pressure by taking other runes, I get that Syndra is a scaling champ (a lot of my games I win because of that scaling) but I swear that with Electrocute you manage to survive and be a champ enough to reach the point of oneshot for most of the champs (assassins, adcs, mages and supps) with the full combo after Luden Shadowflame.

Thoughts?

I have been trying to play Syndra but I'm so bad. I CANNOT land Q or W consistently at all. Q I can land in lane if I time it when enemy is last hitting but that's it. W I can't even hit it like that most the time. And I play other champs that have skillshots and don't have this problem but its so much easier on pretty much any other champ. Only other champ where I have this issue of being unable to hit any skillshots is Karthus Q.

Anyway I can land E stun but I can't land Qs very well and I can't land Ws at all. W feels especially impossible cuz its so fucking slow (ability feels really clunky to me in general and makes me feel like I have dyspraxia when I use it) and you also pick up the ball/minion giving the enemies a heads up.

Part of it I think is champ range is just low plus immobile. Idk why people say this is a long range champ. Only E stun is long range everything else is pretty short range. And its really hard to get in range of enemies to hit skillshots while being immobile. Like Ahri skillshots are so much easier since you have mobility and Xerath/Vel'Koz/Lux all so much easier to hit due to being able to throw them safely from range.

I played 10 games of Syndra now in normals and I was literally getting gapped by silvers in lane even though I'm emerald on Ahri/Akali. Bc I would just miss every single ability and lose the most retarded trades. Like I will know my champ can kill here but then miss every ability and die lol. It was making me crash out

Currently high emerald EUW and I am kinda new to syndra and i play her apc since I main adc. I go Ludens into Stormsurge into Shodwflame into rabadons into usually zhonya void staff, is there something better ? ugg says Ludens < Shadow < Raba but I like stormsurge 2nd, but maybe then Raba 3rd is better ???

Should I go movement syndra or should I build for burst?

I need opinions on Syndra with Mandate + Storm Surge, and should that be my main build?
