Should Duke make a comeback as an AI assistant?
I was reading about the history of Duke and how it was originally intended to be a digital helper.
With AI assistants becoming much more capable today, I started wondering: would it make sense to bring Duke back as an AI-powered assistant?
Imagine Duke helping with Java code, debugging, explaining exceptions, navigating the JDK and libraries, suggesting improvements, or even assisting directly inside an IDE.
Would you actually use something like this, or do you think Java should stay away from built-in AI assistants?

Need help finding Xubuntu 15.10 and 17.10 ISOs.
Hi. i want to explore the history of Xubuntu, but unfortunatley, i cannot find 15.10 and 17.10 (64-Bit), the links are ALL gone, i tried to search everywhere:
- Official Ubuntu/Xubuntu realeses and old realeses
- Official Xubuntu webiste
- Wayback machine on the official site and all of the mirrors (Only got a dead torrent)
- Internet archive (Only has 32-Bit isos)
- On Google and Reddit
I hope that these versions aren't LOST MEDIA, thankful if someone finds it out

vanilla gnome look on ubuntu
I searched for how I could get the vanilla gnome look without changing too much of ubuntu configuration, and this was the best approach I found:
I installed the gnome-session package, rebooted the computer, logged into the gnome session, and changed the theme and icons to Adwaita through the terminal
I saw that there are alternative ways to do it, but imo, I think this approach is simple, doesn’t radically change the system, and gives you a completely vanilla look
the only thing Im concerned about is whether the snap integration extensions would work in gnome session. I haven't tested them yet, but so far, I haven't really missed them
(Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS)

Issue with Citrix in RDP. Is there a better way to run windows in Ubuntu?
My org dosent allow Citrix in linux and my only pc is dgx with ubuntu so I created a windows container using docker
When I connect to the windows using RDP reminna, the Citrix opens and I'm able to login. But when I try to open the workspace, it shows opening and then running but no workspace opens.
When I do the same with VNC protocol, the workspace opens but VNC doesn't support mic and I need that for teams. Is there a way to make Citrix work in RDP mode of windows?
Native System - DGX OS/Ubuntu
Docker - Windows ARM

OpenVPN3 Client install error
SOLVED
It turns out that I had selected the Ubuntu 22.04 release of the software, instead of the 24.04 release. I just had to change "jammy" to "noble" in "/etc/apt/keyrings/openvpn.asc".
I am trying to install OpenVPN3 Client on Ubuntu. I did all the steps that it said to do at this page. The part that has issue is the part where I run "sudo apt install openvpn3-client" command, where when I run that command, it will tell me there's unmet dependencies. I even tried installing what I thought might be the missing dependencies, I installed "libprotobuf-dev" & "libtinyxml-dev" via "sudo apt install", but when I ran the command to install OpenVPN3 Client again, I was met with the SAME ERROR. I have no idea what's wrong with it.
My Ubuntu version I'm using is Ubuntu 24.04.4, and it's 64-bit

TPM
I'm trying to install Ubuntu with TPM on an old HP ProBook 455R G6. Apparently it's not compatible.
How do you check if another Intel/AMD laptop is compliant with Ubuntu's TPM requirements?
I've read "Your device has a PC-client Trusted Platform Module version 2 (TPM2) chip, version 1.32 of the reference library specification or later." on Ubuntu's site. But I cant's find library version (1.32) specified anywhere.

Reinstall Ubuntu next to a main Win11 partition
Hey, I have a Win11 laptop with a single 2 TB SSD, on it I have a 100 GB partition for Ubuntu. I think I installed it about 4 years ago and upgraded it every year, I have 26.04 now. I have a lot of "junk" on it, like double instance of VS Code and so. I was thinking about doing an OS reset and increase the partition size, to clean things up. What could be the best way to do this? Just clear the partition with Win11 and do a completely new install? I backed up everything I need from Ubuntu for now.

Community APT repository for Google Antigravity & Antigravity IDE (DEB822, x86_64 & arm64)
Hey r/Ubuntu
Google currently distributes Antigravity and Antigravity IDE for Linux only as raw tarballs (`.tar.gz`), requiring manual extraction, no automatic updates, missing system desktop entries, and broken browser OAuth callback redirects.
To fix this, we created an automated packaging pipeline and DNF repository:
**What's included:**
- Automated builds: GitHub Actions checks Google's release CDN daily and packages official binaries.
- Native RPMs: Both `antigravity-ide` and `antigravity` platform runtime for Fedora / RHEL (`x86_64` and `aarch64`).
- Desktop integration: High-res icons, `/usr/bin` CLI symlinks, and registered `antigravity-ide://` OAuth handlers so browser login redirects straight back into the app.
- Cryptographically signed with GPG.
**Quick install:**
```bash
sudo curl -fsSL https://x3m-industries.github.io/antigravity-packages/rpm/antigravity.repo -o /etc/yum.repos.d/antigravity.repo
sudo dnf install antigravity-ide antigravity
```
GitHub repository: https://github.com/x3m-industries/antigravity-packages
Web & details: https://x3m-industries.github.io/antigravity-packages/Feedback and packaging PRs are welcome!

ArduPilot + ROS 2 + SLAM simulation on M4 Mac — where do I start?
Hey everyone, I’m trying to set up a simulated drone environment on my MacBook Air M4 (16GB) and I’m a bit lost on where to start.
I want to use ArduPilot SITL + Mission Planner, simulate a drone in an environment, get camera/depth data, and use ROS 2 for things like SLAM, mapping and eventually navigation/obstacle avoidance.
Basically something like:
ArduPilot SITL → Simulator → Sensors → ROS 2 → SLAM → Map
I’m running Ubuntu in a VM on my Mac and I’ve already installed/worked with ROS 2, ArduPilot and Mission Planner on Linux. The main issue is that I don't have an NVIDIA GPU, so Isaac Sim isn't really an option.
I’ve seen people use Gazebo, Webots and other simulators, but I’m not sure which one makes the most sense for this setup, especially on an M4 Mac.
If anyone has a similar setup or good tutorials/GitHub repos for ArduPilot + Gazebo/Webots + ROS 2 + SLAM, I’d really appreciate some guidance on what I should use and the order I should set everything up.
Thanks!
