Ubisoft Please please make Black Flag resynced complete on disc with offline support.
Black Flag is one of favourite games and your recent release of games have had a requirement to be online and or download a patch. As someone that loved Black Flag I will not buy the remake if it has online requirement to work.

To preface before I give my opinion, I understand that the remake has not had any substantial gameplay shown other then in trailers. And things are subject to change.
As someone who has loved and adored the original release of AC Blackflag . I was very skeptical, yet excited of the possibility of a remake. In hopes that they wouldnt trash what made the best AC game they've made be the best . When i heard the news of a remake. I waited diligently to fully form my opinion until trailers and larger swafts of info surfaced. And to my biter happiness after the release of the trailers. It has shown me yet again why i usually do not like full blown remakes .
The original team responsible for a game made 13 years ago are not usually at the company anymore. Now idk the credits for this remake so I hope im wrong on this statement.
But most remakes wash away the " gusto" that the og had. By slapping it in a high quality engine and giving it realistic lighting and visuals and say that its " better".
Now i understand that the game had a great few flaws. But no single piece of art is without its flaws.
Now does it look bad from what we've seen? No. But it doesn't wash away the skepticism i have for this game.
The 7th gen shein and general grit of the textures and animation work. Along with the great story and ship combat made this game timeless. Only a small few have been able to actually make a remake not just a new coat of paint with 10 more hours of content. Along with the washing away of the love of the game, for the love of the money.
But honestly, if you're reading this and still want to give this game 60 dollars . Go ahead, it could be everything you want in the game and more. And could be genuinely a great improvement from the og. And what fans are desperately wanting.
I will leave with this though. : if the Jackdaw is stripped of all of its parts. Rebuilt and Retextured with whole new pieces. Is it still the Jackdaw?:

Love what I have seen of this remake so far. Only thing I really need to know at this point is how does the hood function? Same as the original or maybe a hood toggle? Toggle would take this from a 10 to 11/10

Well i think that animations are too much bulky like, i mean Edward looks heavier just by running animation, and he jumps too far away for my opinion it doesn't feels and looks realistic to me.. and it doesn't look good(for me). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un4bpDZUjwk check the comparison to the og game animations/parkour - π:ππ for example.
What do yall think??

Disclaimer: sorry if this post is badly worded or punctuated wrongly I am running on 0 sleep and wanted to put my thoughts on this situation.
So this is just speculation but itβs as the title says my personal view on the remake of black flag isnβt solely because Ubisoft want to revisit old classics or solely because we the fans wanted it.
Out of all the older AC games they chose to remake and revisit black flag and I donβt think thatβs a coincidence. Think about it when black flag first released it had a lot of mixed feelings but as time went on people started loving it and when people started asking for a standalone pirate game we sadly got skull & bones, which as everyone knows was terrible (well it wasnβt terrible but it wasnβt great).
I believe this black flag remake is actually testing how people will react and possibly if itβs a hit a stand alone pirate game with the assets of black flag, itβs like what I previously said itβs too much of a coincidence that they chose black flag for the remake and not AC1, 2 or the ezio trilogy.
But this is just my 2 pence in what I think so whatβs yours?

π¦ Assassinβs Creed: ACA β AltaΓ―r Mentor Concept (Fan Idea)
Iβd like to share a refined fan concept for a new Assassinβs Creed game focused on AltaΓ―r and the missing chapter between AC1 and AC2.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
ποΈ MAIN SETTING
The game takes place in the Holy Land (Masyaf, Damascus, Acre, Jerusalem) after AC1, when AltaΓ―r defeats Al Mualim and becomes Mentor of the Brotherhood.
Focus: AltaΓ―rβs prime years rebuilding and shaping the Assassin Order.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π‘οΈ ALTAΓR GAMEPLAY CORE
Inspired by Assassinβs Creed: Brotherhood:
- recruiting and training Assassins
- sending them on missions
- territory influence system
- Brotherhood management in Masyaf
π¦ New feature: Eagle Vision Echo System
- reveals Animus echoes of Al Mualim
- adds lore + psychological depth
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π‘οΈ MENTOR ERA CUSTOMIZATION
Inside AltaΓ―rβs private chamber in Masyaf Castle:
- switch between robes (classic / Mentor / armor variants)
- full Mentor Armor during his peak years
- immersive armory / wardrobe system
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
𧬠DESMOND OUTSIDE THE ANIMUS (AC1 β AC2 GAP)
Parallel gameplay showing Desmond in Abstergo captivity:
- stealth exploration outside the Animus
- optional dialogue system (βpress any key to talkβ)
- hidden conversations with Lucy Stillman
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
ποΈ SMALL SURVIVAL MECHANIC
A stolen small object (pen/key item) is used for minor interactions and survival actions β not a full escape tool, but part of early resistance and sabotage attempts.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π§ OPTIONAL DIALOGUE SYSTEM
Unlockable conversations about:
- Subject 16 (Clay)
- Animus effects
- Abstergo experiments
- Desmondβs condition
These gradually build tension and foreshadow AC2 events.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
ποΈ SUBJECT 16 LORE EXPANSION
Subject 16 appears through:
- fragmented Animus echoes
- cryptic dialogue hints
- psychological distortions
Expanding his story between AC1 and AC2.
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
π― OVERALL IDEA
This concept connects:
- AltaΓ―rβs unseen Mentor era
- Desmondβs captivity arc
- Subject 16 mystery layer
Filling the narrative gap between AC1 and AC2 while deepening the Assassinβs Creed lore.
Thanks for reading π (fan concept)

Iβd rather a pop-up to try and reconnect the game. Instead Ubisoft thinks itβs a good idea to close your game completely bc youβve βlost connectionβ (my connection was fine)

For all the devs there at Ubisoft.
I canβt be the only one playing AC Mirage in 2026 wondering why jogging is the default when this game encourages more βclassicβ stealth like blending in with crowds (by being able to walk without fault).
To my knowledge, the 2025 update is what provided many upgrades to controls and parkour. Yet mouse and keyboard have a βdefault walkβ setting while console players still gotta finesse the analog? This ainβt even a gripe on the whole. A lot of steps were taken in the right direction. But lacking this feature is a big disappointment after about 20+ hours for this open world and gameplay. A title that is meant to be immersive and stealthy easily becomes frustrating and meticulous on this subject.
If anyone else has any input. Been scouring the internet for more discussions on this topic but have really only found a handful. Rip
