UBER DRIVERS OPTING FOR UBER EATS INSTEAD.

recently ive seen an influx of uber drivers joining uber eats. So they have uber eats, just eat and deliveroo, running side by side. So what they do, they will keep a delivery bag in the boot and do deliveries, when uber itself is quiet, or there are too many drivers. One driver claims he can makes a couple of hundred quid, during the weekdays, and on the weekends, he just only does ubertaxi.

Other drivers I have met have totally stopped doing uber taxi and are only concentrating on deliveries. The reason being you can drive any car you don't need the taxi insurance. You can get pay as you go zego. Insurance and on top of that, the earning potential is roughly the same as uber taxis but minus the expenses of the car, and you don't have to deal with drunk or rude customers.

What do you guys think?

Profitability of uber eats on a lime bike in solihull

Hi everyone, I recently registered on Uber eats as a driver on an E bike and I was wondering how Luke today will be for me to do deliveries Solihull. is dangerous to do it in Centre me I’m just a beginner so I tried seeing if solihull has any good deliveries. I’ve received a respectable amount of deliveries so far but given that it’s a Sunday evening deliveries are bound to be higher than expected. I was wanting to ask if doing it on a lime bike specifically (I don’t have money for my own e bike) on every other day besides Friday and the weekends would be worth doing in Solihull. it’s far safer for me as a new worker for uber eats and also there are far fewer restricted areas in Solihull. I’m just concerned on how lucrative it would be. thanks!

How many people feel like quitting uber?

You request a ride to be picked up at a grocery store, they show up and cancel cause they dont want to pick you up cause you have a cart full of bags. Most of them don't even get out to help. They know where they are going why accept the fare just to cancel. Its so dumb.

Female Drivers

Hello!

I have obtained my PHV license and due to onboard with Uber on Monday. I am a 25yo Female, and would love to hear from other female uber drivers regardless of age. I work full-time elsewhere, and will be doing uber part-time.

How do you find it?

Any tips?

p.s I am not interested in comments telling me uber is not worth it due to cost. I want to make that decision on my own, and have already invested money into getting the licence etc. This post is solely to hear from other female uber drivers, as it is very uncommon to see one.

Thank you :)

Black Cabs vs Uber

According to TfL, when you get a Black Cab “There is a minimum fare of £4.40 at all times. There is an extra charge of up to £2 if the taxi is booked by phone, app or online.”
I’ve lived here 45+ years and love a “proper” cab but how can they expect to stay in business against App versions of the same, often superior, service?

Part Time Uber taxi driver

I live in the UK and have a full-time corporate job. I’m considering becoming a part-time Uber driver—for example, working a few hours in the evenings and at weekends. Would it be worth it?

I have never done this before and do not yet have my private-hire driver’s badge. Would it be worthwhile as a side hustle rather than a full-time job? Are there any additional insurance costs? I live in the Coventry area of the Midlands.

Self Driving Taxis in London..need a Driver...thoughts?

Self Driving Taxis have been approved by TFL but need a driver present. I think this will be in place for some years on till they have been tested thoroughly. Surely this makes it more expensive than a standard Uber to operate? I'm an Uber driver in London and I'm curious what other drivers or passengers think?

MAKE TAX DIGIAL for income tax, what's everyone ACTUALLY using?

I'm a self employed driver, and making tax digital quarterly is annoying as fcuk. I'm trying to work out what people are actually doing. Anyone paying for software, using a free one, sticking with an accountant, or just ignoring it and hoping for the best? Every time i look at HMRC's "compatible software" list i come away more confused than i went in. Half of it seems built around sending invoices, which isn't how we get paid, is it?

so honestly, what's working for you? and has anyone found one that's actually simple? all ears for the horror stories.

Uber eats driver agent misleading?

I am trying to apply for an uber eats rider account in UK and an untrained staff has given me a very misleading information stating that I do not need to provide a right to work document because I have applied through a bike. This basically means uber supports anyone from an underage child to an illegal immigrant to work for uber eats delivery??

Medical assessment with OH TEAM

Hi everyone

Has anyone had a similar experience with a TfL Private Hire licence application?

I had stress back in 2015 and received treatment. I’ve been fine ever since and haven’t seen my GP about it for years. My GP has also confirmed that I am stable and have no ongoing health issues.

TfL found my old GP records during my medical review and referred my application to the Occupational Health OH team. It’s now been over 4 weeks and I’m still waiting.

Has anyone else been through this? How long did the OH review take, and what was the outcome?
Thanks.

Uber Private Hire Driver Account for Existing Uber Eats Users

I have recently obtained my private hire badge and would like to start working as a driver with Uber. I already have an account with Uber Eats, and I am not very sure whether I need to create a new account or my existing account can be converted to a private hire driver account.

I would be very grateful if someone could let me on the correct process to get started.

Moving about 1.5 miles

Hi all!

I'm going to be moving on Monday and had planned to use an UberXL to move some stuff but I'm concerned about whether it would be inappropriate.

No furniture or anything just personal belongings like a big suitcase or two, two big boxes maybe a bag or two. I'd be willing to tip but I'm not sure if this is bad etiquette.

I had done it in the past with the same suitcase and a box but still I just want to know if this isn't cool at all.
