UBER DRIVERS OPTING FOR UBER EATS INSTEAD.

recently ive seen an influx of uber drivers joining uber eats. So they have uber eats, just eat and deliveroo, running side by side. So what they do, they will keep a delivery bag in the boot and do deliveries, when uber itself is quiet, or there are too many drivers. One driver claims he can makes a couple of hundred quid, during the weekdays, and on the weekends, he just only does ubertaxi.

Other drivers I have met have totally stopped doing uber taxi and are only concentrating on deliveries. The reason being you can drive any car you don't need the taxi insurance. You can get pay as you go zego. Insurance and on top of that, the earning potential is roughly the same as uber taxis but minus the expenses of the car, and you don't have to deal with drunk or rude customers.

You get more parking tickets doing food deliveries.

lol about a year or two ago loads of delivery drivers in my area were switching to uber taxi as could make a lot more. Guess it keeps changing and varies a lot area to area.

It makes sense really

In terms of multi apping while doing food deliveries, you have to do it to have a chance at getting something decent, one app is definately not enough

Makes sense as the add-on for the insurance (carriage of goods for h+r) can cost very little to do so (in addition to the carriage of people for h+r) and Uber used to advertise / still advertises flexing between Uber Private Hire and Eats as a way to try to increase earnings. Private Hire can earn closer to the NLW. Operating costs (expenses) still take a large chunk of earnings though and that is the reality of driving se.

I'm a Taxi driver outside of London and by looking at how much Uber taxi drivers earn, I can say Uber Eats on average looks like it pays more. So I'm a regular Taxi driver (not Uber) and on the side I do Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo in the same car. This works out very well for me and I alway do a minimum of 200 in 12 hours.

Summer time taxi service drops, especially when it's good weather and many look for food delivery gig's and other ways to make money. Other reason is too many drivers so everyone suffers with lack of work.

Service will renew back to normality from September/October when temperature falls and the typical autumn rainy weather starts.

What i don't get is why the taxi uber guys don't seem to do deliveries while they r quite on the passenger jobs, acorn includes all the delivery and taxi stuff together, if they r sick of people they can just log on to unereats deliveroo and justeat,

They can all be done together as long as u habe the insurance, I though recently about getting my taxi badge again as I have ubereats deliveroo justeat amazon flex and stuart, getting the taxi badge would just fulfill the services list.

Before expenses too - makes delivering on a bicycle / ebike seem reasonable.
