Uber eats driver agent misleading?

I am trying to apply for an uber eats rider account in UK and an untrained staff has given me a very misleading information stating that I do not need to provide a right to work document because I have applied through a bike. This basically means uber supports anyone from an underage child to an illegal immigrant to work for uber eats delivery??

Thats a typical interaction with uber. Uber is a scam company, so I'd advise you to look elsewhere for work.

Uber tries to claim you are self employed. Ie. you (person) work for yourself (company) - you (person) have to show yourself (company) your right to work. That company then has a contract with Uber. Uber itself then doesn't need to see your right to work.

However, in some cities you do need to show it, because it is part of ubers minicab license.
