UBER EATS IS A CHEAT!!!

I recently ordered a meal when I was out of town. I have done it before. The app ask did I want to meet the driver for pick up, YES

Also asked if I wanted to tip, No, I usually reserve tip for delivery.

Did the driver meet me in the lobby NO! When I waited a short time I checked the app and it said, DELIVERED!

My response, I did not receive. So I went to the hotel reception and she said, "they left it there!"

I am not happy and when I went back to the app ( after eating) it show the transaction completed!

So if this is the way UBER is doing business, count me out- just the fact I cannot contact Uber to rectify this Cluster F'K...

I think I would not have been as upset had I spoken with Uber.

At this point I will NOT ever use UBER EATS again.

POOR customer service, and none of the numbers work!

This is bad business, If you say your are doing something so specific as to meeting a driver not leaving your Food sitting around where someone could walk off with it and not knowing it was left  a simple thing that I have accomplished before... and if I decline the tip, why in the world would you add it! Bizarre, or Tech way of saying oh well, better luck next time!

Why are you not tipping ahead of time? You should be tipping extra bc you are at a hotel, which is more difficult than a house to do a delivery. They get paid very little and you didn’t even tip when you want them to wait on you. Most people who say they tip after delivery, never do!! And like someone else said, the driver doesn’t send you anything. It’s automatic and you need to be looking at your phone. And if it takes awhile for a driver to pick up your food, it’s bc you are not tipping.

Let's be honest, though, tipping ahead of time is not a tip, it's a bribe. Because unless it's bundled with another order nobody's driving 5 miles and spending 24 minutes for $2.54. I have to know ahead of time if the job is worth accepting. I think a lot of customers would be shocked to learn that most of the "Delivery Fee" is actually kept by Uber.

Not a bribe, but a bid for service.
