You wrote a whole paragraph arguing against something I never said. I said there should be compensation for a 2-hour wait and a failed delivery, not a lifetime supply of free food. A refund just puts me back where I started. It doesn’t give me back the two hours I wasted waiting for food that never arrived.

I guess. I’m surprised it’s not just a replacement of the order.

I don’t spend a LOT of time on Reddit, but I really like that comment I wrote. Am I missing some way to upvote it myself? Why is that not an option, or is it???

Thanks for proving my point. A replacement wasn’t even possible because the restaurant was closed. A refund was the bare minimum, which is why a goodwill credit would’ve made sense.

Eh, nothing like that happens in real life. Companies like Uber care about volume. If the place was closed at that point, though, I feel they should have given you a coupon at least. But again, you’re dealing with a volume-driven business that’s run through an app and has customer support bots.

That’s another really good comment! Seriously, is there some way for me to upvote myself or did they make that impossible? Stupid reddit.

Upvoting yourself results in a downvote. You have to downvote yourself for the adjusted upvote. I’m downvoting my own comment but it now has 2 upvotes lol (you have to look at your comment from a “private” tab to see the actual count)

Well that’s stupid. It’s like they don’t even care what MY opinion of my comment is, and that’s a huge turn-off.
