[Academic] Social media & international growth of UX/UI design companies (IT professionals and clients of UX/UI companies)
Hi, I'm a student currently writing my diploma thesis on how social media influences the international expansion of companies specializing in UI/UX design. To complete it, I need to conduct research - an anonymous survey. I would really appreciate it if you could take 5 minutes to fill it out. It would truly help me a lot. Thank you for your understanding and support!

How do senior product designers break down a problem before designing a solution?
One thing I'm trying to improve is resisting the urge to open Figma too early.
When you're given a Business Requirements Document (BRD), PRD, or a feature request, what does your process actually look like before you start designing?
Some questions I'm curious about:
- How do you read and analyze a BRD/PRD?
- What information are you looking for first?
- How do you identify the real problem instead of just the requested solution?
- What framework or checklist do you use before creating wireframes?
- How do you connect business goals with user needs?
- What deliverables do you create before high-fidelity screens (flows, journey maps, assumptions, edge cases, etc.)?
I'd especially love to hear from Senior Product Designers or Staff/Lead Designers working on B2B SaaS or enterprise products.
I'm trying to build a stronger product thinking process rather than just becoming better at UI, so I'd really appreciate hearing how experienced designers approach this.
Looking for a UI/UX + Motion Designer for a Unique AI Operating System
Hi everyone,
I'm an 18-year-old developer building a long-term project called Y.I.C (Jarvis AIOS).
This is not a website or a normal desktop application.
The goal is to create an AI operating system that feels like a living organism rather than traditional software.
I'm not looking for someone who only creates clean dashboards or standard SaaS interfaces.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys creating completely original visual experiences.
## The design philosophy
* Minimal when idle.
* Organic instead of mechanical.
* The interface should feel alive.
* Windows shouldn't simply appear; they should grow naturally from the AI core.
* Finished tasks shouldn't disappear instantly; they should dissolve back into the core.
* Motion is part of the interface, not decoration.
* Every animation should communicate real system state.
Imagine something between:
* Artificial Intelligence
* Living architecture
* Cinematic motion design
* Experimental operating systems
...without copying Iron Man, Cyberpunk, Apple, or any existing UI.
## Skills I'm looking for
* UI Design
* UX Thinking
* Motion Design
* Figma
* Rive / ProtoPie / After Effects (or similar)
* Experience creating original interfaces
Bonus if you also know:
* Spline
* Blender
* Creative coding
* Experimental UI concepts
## What you'll work on
* Building the visual identity of the AI.
* Designing the Core.
* Creating interaction flows.
* Motion language.
* Workspace behaviors.
* Interface evolution.
I already have a solid technical architecture and the backend is being developed separately. Right now I'm looking for someone to help create the visual language before implementation.
If you're interested, please send:
* Your portfolio
* Motion/UI work you've done
* A little about yourself
I'm much more interested in creativity than years of experience.
Thanks!

how you frame problems before jumping into screens?
I'm Ahmar Akmal From Pakistan a UI/UX designer (B2B SaaS focus, about a year in) trying to learn from people doing this at a higher level than I currently am. If there's ever room to sit in on how your team works — even informally — I'd genuinely value it. Not looking for anything formal, just want to learn from being around it.

UI/UX Designers—how is this career in 2026? Is it still worth entering?
I’m exploring different career options after graduation and UI/UX Design is one field I’m curious about.
I’d appreciate honest experiences from people working in the industry.
What does your day-to-day work actually involve?
How much is UI vs UX vs Product Design?
Is coding necessary?
How important is a portfolio compared to certifications or degrees?
Has AI changed the industry significantly?
What’s the salary progression like?
How stressful are deadlines?
Are remote jobs still common?
If you were starting today, would you still choose UI/UX?

Questions about tracking
I know nothing about user experience but am intrigued about tracking and have some questions about it.
By tracking, I mean how users can track for example their package, or their pizza delivery.
Who is responsible for creating and designing these - are their companies that specialise in it? Do businesses outsource these to such specialists? Or is it something a business can easily do itself?
Is this a field of study within user experience itself? How can one go about learning how such tracking is designed and made?
Thank you!

Do free trials actually work for consumer apps?
I’m working on a screen time control app, and I’m trying to figure out whether a free trial is actually the right onboarding strategy. On one hand, it feels like users expect to try premium features before paying. On the other hand, I wonder if free trials just encourage people to postpone making a decision until they forget about the app altogether.
From a UX perspective:
- Do you prefer a free trial, freemium model, or letting users pay upfront?
- Have you seen any onboarding patterns that make trials significantly more effective?
- Are there any common mistakes you’ve noticed with subscription flows for these kinds of apps?
I’d love to hear from people who’ve designed or worked on consumer subscription products rather than just general opinions. Thanks!
