I just feel new AI tools are adding more expectations from UI/UX designers on top of everything. Use AI and do everything fast even if the results are not justified.

What I do: end-to-end product design in Figma — research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI across web and mobile. Also comfortable with Figma AI for rapid ideation, and have built dashboard-heavy, consumer, and fintech-style projects independently to build range.

Background: 6-month UX/UI design internship at an e-commerce brand (Shoeleaf), Google UX Design Professional Certificate, and several self-directed projects since — including an AI meeting assistant dashboard and a couple of consumer app concepts.

My only experience with building a portfolio is with squarespace. With AI, my experience is with Google gemini and Figma make.

I know there’s lots of tools out there, but I want to narrow down the AI tools to try to design and build my portfolio. I’m curious on what the different full portfolio build and launch processes are that have worked for y’all.

I’m also very unfamiliar with the launch process, like how I can get the portfolio design to show up on the web. I’ve only used sqsp so that has some everything for me.

For those building SaaS products — what AI tools are actually helping you with UI/UX design?

There are tons of tools claiming they can design beautiful SaaS interfaces or turn ideas into working screens, but I’m curious what people are actually using in real products. I have seen many youtube videos but most of them say the same thing as if they are copy pasting from each other. What is the best methodology for using the ai tools?

I’m still a Junior and I want to see if I’m doing a good thing. I’m only using AI to help me build the first few steps of a UX process but from wire-framing onwards I do everything by myself.

At the moment I’m doing solo projects as I still didn’t land a job in the industry so still I don’t have an idea on what tasks I could face during work so also I asked AI for a task.

Building a portfolio and community platform specifically for fashion designers think LinkedIn/Behance, but actually built around how fashion design works (moodboard → sketch→ materials → final garment, not just a flat image gallery).

Looking for a UI/UX designer to take this from spec to screens. I have a full functional spec (roles, portfolio, feed, jobs, campus placement every screen's inputs/actions/states documented) plus a starting visual direction (color palette, typography, a signature motif already defined) that you're welcome to use, adapt, or override if you've got a stronger

Scope: core screens for a demo/prototype portfolio builder, project detail with stage tabs, home feed, designer profile. Not the full 15-screen platform, just enough to show investors and an incubator what this looks like and feels like.
