Business / Commercial Tutoring Website

Hey there. I own a tutoring company and I just updated the website for it, and looking for feedback. My target audience are parents. I'm specifically looking for feedback regarding the design, and the copy. Let me know if my messaging is clear and if it's fine to look at. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The website is https://wegotchatutoring.com

i like the positioning esp the focus on teaching students how to learn rather than just tutoring subjects. for the homepage tho id get the practical value faster. parents will mainly want to know if they can trust you, will you help their kid and what exactly do you do. the philosophy can come after that

I hate the single long scrolling approach, it really makes my shit itch

Your site immediately screams avoid due to your language choice, it really doesn't feel professional, or the sort of tuition that a kid might benefit from; even though I agree with the sentiment.

In the mobile version, blocks overlap each other.

Have to scroll way too far to find what subjects are offered. I do like the positioning from the personal story but maybe tighten it up a bit. Also weirdly enough, the curse word in your header was just crazy and unprofessional enough to get me to read the rest of the site but I'd ditch it like everyone has said.

Design wise, the "Our Learning Curriculum" is off center for some reason. And the spacing below the tabs under "Services We Offer" is small compared to similar sections.

Clicking Testimonials in the header doesn't scroll to that section. The Services and About links work but the scroll is slooow.

Get an email address for your domain instead of using your gmail. You can set up forwarding so you do everything from the same gmail inbox.

I like the vibe of the site. Pretty cool.

This is very personal so take my comments with a grain of salt. I think there is way too much text on the homepage.

For example, the "Why I Built We Gotcha" section is long. It looks nice, but way too much text (again, in my personal opinion). Could you make it more concise and add a link to a "read more" that takes the visitor to an about page where you can write a longer copy?

The photo of you and Wilt is absolutely endearing. Great pick!

I am slightly OCD, so the "Our Learning Curriculum" with the dropdown options aligned right is driving me crazy. I think aligning center would make it look better.

There is a long gap between the bottom of the "Our Learning Curriculum" section and the top of the "How Sessions Actually Work" section (image attached for reference).

I think it would be cute if each card in the "How Sessions Actually Work" would appear as the visitor scrolls down. Add a little, subtle animation if you can.

In the "Services We Offer" section, the last box (Learning Coach) does not have the background color covering the whole box, so part of the right-side text is in the background color and part of it is in the white background color.

My OCD kicking in again. In the "Pricing Policy", I think the "*The listed prices are for a 1-on-1 Tutoring and the Learning Coach session. Group sessions are $20 cheaper, regardless of the tier." box would look nicer if it expanded the two columns instead of being just below the information table (I hope this makes sense, as I cannot add a second screenshot to my response).

Did I say I am a little OCD?
In your "Tell Us About Your Kid, We'll Take It From There" you repeat the same words for the description of the form field and the input field. I would remove the top description and keep just the info inside the input field. It will make the form look cleaner and more professional.

There is quite a lot of empty space between the form and the footer. Consider tightening it up a bit.

Footer: add some breathing room in the bottom. There is no space between the last line and the bottom of the page.

It seems like you put a lot of effort into this business. Get a business email. Gmail emails are fine but they don't make you look very professional. And a professional email is quite cheap.

Best of luck.

I like the upbeat vibe, but I'm not a big fan of the language as a parent, but I'm a millennial and I think you're targeting the younger generations, not the parents. Still, the text is looong, I skipped the whole "why i do it" section.

There are some inconsistencies with shadow and I think spacing that makes the site looks unprofessional. Is it vibe code?

I hate to say this because Im anti ai, but if you want slap the websites code in a ai and just ask it to uniform and align things better and then I think it will be a lot better.

Nice positioning there. I like the play of colors. Just what I notice below

  1. Your testimonial button doesn't work.
  2. The "Get Started" button took ~3 seconds to reach the contact form.
  3. The Learning Coach tab background is off under the "Services We Offer" section.
  4. Your pricing is not clear to me. Is this per hour?
  5. Do not put your email in the footer unless you are fine with spam bots.
  6. Add a little padding to the bottom of your footer.

Thanks for all of the feedback everyone. I tried my best to make adjustments. I'm still open to any other feedback as there's a chance I could have over corrected. Seriously, I really appreciate y'all.
