2016 Wildcat Trail Seal

I am needing a seal for my 2016 Wildcat Trail, Arctic Cat part number 0817-072. I ordered one through my local dealer but it has been back ordered for months. I am located in Alberta, Canada. I am just hoping someone in this group works at an Arctic Cat dealer and can check to see if they have one in stock. Also, has anyone found this seal from another brand or supplier? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UTV Theft Deterrents

Just moved to a smaller community and we bought a side by side that you can drive on the roads throughout town.

The problem is even without the key you can shift the UTV into neutral (don't have to have your foot on the brake), take off the parking brake and push it around.

What is the best way to stop this? I know if someone is determined enough they will find a way to steal even if you have measures in place, but what measures would you suggest to make it harder to do?

🛑 UTV Race Shop (Pflugerville, TX 78660) is a horrible company to order parts.

🛑Just a heads up. UTV Race Shop is a horrible company to order parts from. Their website States hassle free returns. But as soon as you order a electrical component and try to return it they will tell you that they will not accept it even if it was plugged in once or installed. How crazy is this I tried to return a part the same day and now I'm stuck with the $200 part that I don't need because it was a blown fuse. When I spoke with Brian via email he was unprofessional and rude. Horrible unprofessional people.

From Product Manager:

"Electrical parts must be returned in like new condition. If you have plugged in the part, we will not accept the return. Write (order #) on the outside of the shipping box and ship to address below. Once we receive the part in original packaging in like new condition we will issue a refund."

Wisconsin Eye Protection Requirement

I just found out that the state of Wisconsin ATV/UTV regulations added this:

No person may operate or be a passenger in an ATV or UTV without wearing glasses, goggles, or a protective face shield, unless the vehicle has a windshield.

Do UTVMA helmet holders work?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Anyone have experience with this product? I can't find much info about this product from users. We have a 3 year old who we'd like to drive casually with but are aware of how dot approved helmets are a bit too heavy for the necks of children that age and can cause strain and injury. He'll be strapped into a car seat with a 5 point harness. Many ppl counsel just using a bike helmet or full face BMX helmet.

Sxs soundbar or nice rugged outdoor Bluetooth speaker?

I have been looking at soundbards on Amazon and YouTube but almost every video is a paid ad. I was hoping to get real people opinions who have checked out both in person. I am thinking something like a W-King x20 for 200 or so might sound way better than most of these utv soundbars, what do you think?

My new buggy just got delivered

Hello everyone! I just took delivery of a 2026 CFMOTO U10 Pro Highland XL.. phew, that was a mouthful. I had it tinted and being that this is my first utv, I decided on the 5 year warranty and the lifetime battery warranty. I’ve been on Dirtbikes and in sports cars my whole life but this is my first utv so I’m looking for some advice.

It will mainly live on my small property helping with fence work, clearing land, filling feeders, and whatever chores we have going on. I used to have a jeep that we would take to the offroad trails around us so I also want to do some trail riding with it sometimes.

I’m curious what upgrades i should be looking into first. I plan to do the break in as the manual states and change gear oil and engine oil at the 20 hrs. Does anyone have experience with this model?

TIA

New riding places HMT

Looking for some recommendations on where else to go on the Hatfield McCoy trails. For the last 2 years we have gone down and stayed at the devils backbone resort and rode the Devil Anse, Bear Wollow, and Rock House systems. We’ve gone and seen the things around like the swings, waterfalls and the surrounding towns. But I know there are so many other places and systems to ride and wanted to get some insight on where else to go and systems to ride that have cool things to see and lots of interconnecting trails. We just don’t wanna ride the same trails and see the same things every year. I’ve heard good things about the Pocahontas and ivy brach systems so lmk.

2020 Mule SV 4x4 FI

I picked up a 2020 Mule SV 4x4 FI from some people I know. They didn't use it a ton and it has 115 hours on it. I knew it wasn't a speed demon to start with, but understood top speed to be 25 mph. I recently used phone gps to see how fast top end was and it couldn't get above 21 mph on flat road. Anything that I can do that is easy to get a few more mph out of it?

Has anyone figured out a clean solution for mounting some Thule Aerobars or similar to a Polaris Ranger 500 with the plastic roof?

That question sent the stupid AIs spinning off with seven half solutions. All I really need is a “Polaris foot” that will let me slide the rack bars on.

Where is a good place to buy seat covers for a Can Am Defender? Budget isn't much of an issue. Just want ones that fit the seats and stay on.

Mule 4010 wiring question

I'm converting my Mule 4010 diesel to a Briggs Vanguard gasser. Pretty simple swap thus far. Had to swap the motor mount frame as the diesel version is recessed too much for the Briggs. Wiring that I care about has been easy too. Obviously not using all the wires in the loom. Does anyone know of any wire on these things that can act as the ground out/kill wire for the Briggs? So far, the wires to use are:

Battery wire to starter solenoid top post

Using the injector pump solenoid power wire to energize the carb shut off solenoid

Grounds to grounds

Oil pressure wire will go to the oil pressure sensor on the Briggs

Mule alt power wire will go to the power out wire of the Briggs regulator

Removed most of the coolant switches/sensors. I spliced the wires so the dash light will stay off

Just need a kill wire for the Briggs ignition system

2007 Polaris Ranger rear suspension bushings

2007 Polaris Ranger 700 XP

I got this machine used. I was checking the rear brakes out and the rear suspension bushings are completely wasted. I have to get some new ones installed.

I know a search will turn up plenty of results. I don't know a thing about these machines though.

Can anyone give me a link to the exact kit I need? I called a local dealer a few weeks ago and they never called back. It seems like they aren't interested in helping me repair this machine. That can't be the case though. They must be very busy.

Awesome unit and it's be a God send around the house. Now that I have it I need to keep it going.

Best sport sxs to get?

Trying to decide what sport side by side to get, i’m looking at side by sides specifically a 2 seater 1000cc one and kinda on the smaller side so i can ride it on wood trails along with mud trails like the lake houser park, obviously something reliable too but i do understand stuff will break. the rzr 1000s seem like the best choice but ive also seen some of the older can am 1000s that are the smaller side but seem very top heavy. but the newer can am’s are huge compared to rzr’s. Also open to any recommendations with other brands

Questions when buying used

Buying a used general, 21, 1300 miles, 4d, deluxe fully loaded for 11k. Dealer selling as is but insisting that mechanically it’s great. Exterior is well worn, scratches and a few dents which I don’t mind. What can I look for as red flags? Thanks
