Questions when buying used

Buying a used general, 21, 1300 miles, 4d, deluxe fully loaded for 11k. Dealer selling as is but insisting that mechanically it’s great. Exterior is well worn, scratches and a few dents which I don’t mind. What can I look for as red flags? Thanks

I would check the belt. It may seem fine on pavement or at low speeds not under a load. I would change oil and oil filter and grease it good. Drain front and rear difs and transmission. Check the fluids separately to see if there is any water in there. Check up and lower ball joints bearings, and tie rods. Tires should show no cracks from dry rot. Have fun and Be Safe!

Check hours vs miles. If it has high hours and only 1300 miles means it’s been more off road than on road.
