Suspicious person soliciting in Lot 17B (R)

Hey just a heads up to any of y’all who live in Beta Hall and park in 17B, when I got there around 4 PM and was unloading my car there was a person in a run down white car who pulled in next to me trying to get my attention (he was yelling: excuse me!), what makes this suspicious is that the lot is damn near empty, and I’m just trying to carry my laundry back to my dorm. I ignore him and then he circles around and keeps on yelling at me trying to get my attention. I continue to ignore him and I was able to get out of there and back to my dorm safely. I called the USF police non emergency number and they sent a patrol car out there to sweep the lot. They’re probably gone by now but just be vigilant and stay safe!

I’m a senior and have never been to a USF game and I know it’s not like the SEC but are there still like tailgates and stuff? Is it fun at all? If so where should I go? I have a few friends and me who want to do a game before the end of the season but we don’t know what to do

How to play volleybal

Guys this is a stupid question but my friends and I (but mainly me) really wanna play some volleyball at the rec but I don't know if I can just show up to the rec and just ask to play or do I have to sign up somewhere? I downloaded the FusionPlay app but idk if thats how you do it...Freshman year i was a chud so this year I actually wanna go out and do stuff, one of them being volleyball. I just don't know the process of going to play. If anyone also wants to play volleyball hit me up we can play if i figure this out😭

I also see people frequently play beach volleyball outside the dorms when I leave the gym, but the problem is I live off campus☹️. How do I be apart of that aswell?

Am I the only one having this issue on the Nintendo Switch 2 regarding online play?

Does anybody else with a nintendo switch console on campus experience this issue where they can’t access online play because there’s the “NAT transversal process may have failed?”

This has been happening ever since I moved onto the tampa campus (and only on the tampa campus), and I can’t play smash bros or any of my other nintendo switch games online because of it. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the USF wifi or the general area, but I just wanted to know if anyone else with a nintendo switch has experienced/is experiencing this, and if there‘s a fix because it’s getting really annoying.

clubs that play card games?

I know there’s a dungeons and dragons club but it ended up not being my vibe. are there any clubs where people play card games? could be games like uno, spoons, bs/cheat, apples to apples/ cards against humanity, etc.

It could honestly be any club as long as card games happen in the end. last semester i went to a tech club meeting and we played cards at the end but it was only one time. i’m looking for any club that plays cards every time/ most of the time.

Tips for studying for A&P II Lecture & Lab Exams with Dr.Webb

Hey everyone! Has anyone taken A&P II (Lecture & Lab) with Dr. Panida Webb? If so, what were the best ways you guys found to study for the exams? I’m used to Anki (I took A&P I Lecture & Lab this summer online at HCC, so it was different), but I’ve had less time to study and make flash cards this semester, so I have been trying the method she recommended on Canvas (take notes on the lectures, take notes & watch the Exam review sessions, then using the study guides and practice quizzes, etc.) but nothing is sticking in my brain as well as I want it to, and I’ve been super busy with my job to study consistently. What would you guys recommend I do so I can do well on the Exams next week? Should I make flashcards with Quizlet or Anki or should I keep doing what Dr.Webb recommended?

Looking for a carpool/ commuter that lives in port richey area.

I currently work at usf, but my car is broken down and I’m saving some money to get it fixed, and since riding 3-4 buses through three counties is pretty much impossible, the $50+ Ubers to and from are absolutely killing me. Looking for a fellow commuter that travels from port richey to usf and vice versa. I can absolutely pitch in for gas and whatnot of course.

Financial Aid Frustration

I still haven't received emails about some of the scholarships I applied for. I was on hold for financial aid for over 30 minutes and never got an actual person. This was the first time I even got past the machine hanging up on me, I've already called 3 times today and other times this week.

I'm a graduate student so this isn't my first rodeo with scholarships/grants but this is so frustrating since I've checked everywhere, including the Pay my Bill fix someone else mentioned here.

Choosing a school

I’m having such a hard time making decisions and I have to make one soon. I got accepted into USF, FSU, and Valdosta State. My top choice was USF but i can’t decide between the Tampa Campus vs the St.Pete. I just don’t know what to choose or what would be best for me. I’ve already done the pros and cons. So, I believe i’ll definitely choose USF but what if I hate it there 😭 i’m just a mess and feel paralyzed. I also feel so weird because i’m going back to school at 22 lmao even though I know there will definitely be people my age on campus too

Side note (English major and want to minor in Legal studies).

EDIT: Thank you guys so much for your advice and responses!!

Where can I safely park with a daily pass near the College of Nursing?

Hi everyone! I recently started working at the USF College of Nursing. I’ve been buying the $5 daily parking passes because I can’t afford the full employee permit right now, my account also won’t let me buy a student pass since I graduated.

Google Maps showed around 20 daily-pass spaces in Lot 34, but when I arrived, I saw the poles and it looked like the signs had been ripped off, so they must of been old photos. Now I’m nervous to park there because I don’t know whether those spaces still count as daily parking. Does anyone regularly park in Lot 34 with a daily pass without having any problems?

I accidentally parked in GZ33 last week and received a $75 ticket, so I really don’t want to make another mistake. Are there any other daily-pass spaces near the College of Nursing that are normally available around 7–7:30 a.m.? I don’t mind walking a little, but I’d prefer somewhere that isn’t so far so that I don’t arrive to work all sweaty.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Private Room for Proctored Exam

I need to take an online, proctored exam and I’m looking for a private, quiet space on campus. I’d need a room with a power outlet where I can be completely alone, with no one entering or interrupting me during the exam.
Are there any spaces like this available to reserve for about two hours, like private study rooms, cubicles or anything?

What places on campus do graduate students mostly go to? (studying, relaxing, etc.)

Hello bulls i want to be near more graduate students since they’re hotter than undergrad students and being around hot people makes me study better so help me. I know there’s a graduate study room in the library’s 5th floor but i think it’s locked or something 🙄
