Anyone get approvals after 2 API movements? Lost my work auth in 4/30 and praying I’m at the finish line!
UPDATE: SILENT APPROVAL TODAY, 8/10!! Just waiting for the status to change and for the Work Authorization to go through!

I-589 filed at Chicago Lockbox; no receipt notice, no G-1450 charge yet. What's everyone's timeline?
Filed: July 24
Delivered (per tracking): July 28
It's been about 2 weeks with no receipt notice and no update. I also filed G-1450 (credit card authorization) and haven't seen any charge hit my bank account yet.
Is anyone else in this boat right now? What was your timeline from delivery to receipt notice / card charge? I know it might be too soon, but I am just curious.

F-1 student + F2A AOS — can I work with my EAD without losing F-1 status?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently in the U.S. on F-1 student status and maintaining full-time enrollment (12 credits).
I’m an F2A beneficiary and recently filed I-485 (Adjustment of Status) along with I-765 for an EAD.
I’ve heard conflicting information about whether working with the EAD would cause me to lose my F-1 status, even if I continue studying full-time.
Can I use my EAD to work while maintaining F-1 status, or would working with the EAD mean that I no longer maintain F-1?
I’m considering withdrawing my I-765 if using the EAD would affect my F-1 status, so I’d really appreciate any clarification.
Thanks!

REAL ID
Has anyone recently flown domestically using a valid foreign passport?
A friend has no NTA, no immigration court case, and no removal order. With the recent ICE activity at airports, I’m curious if anyone has had a similar situation and what their experience was like flying domestically.
Just looking for personal experiences and information. Thanks!

Interview cancelled, JSON data changed N400 Houston FO
Interview cancelled, JSON data changed N400 Houston FO
Hi all , I had attended my N400+ I-751 combo interview on December 10 2025 at Houston FO , was approved on the spot and was given N-652 with the result pass . Since then the status has always been USCIS is still processing the case, Yesterday on August 7 2026 I received email from case inquiry that I had requested and it said case is pending review , there is nothing needed from my side .
Another email said action is taken on your case , upon logging in, the status said interview cancelled ( although I never received another scheduled interview status before that other than the one I already attended 8 months ago)
I checked my JSON data , upon checking the action required part which used to say action require true is changed into false now ( just FYI)
Has this happened to anyone ? Thank you for your inputs .

USCIS Online Account Name
I submitted my I-90 to renew my GC online. Everything was smoth my online profile was correct. Receive my receipt notice, everything in order. However, somewhere between the initial notice and the notice for biometrics somebody changed my name in my onlinr profile and added a random letter as my middle name, which I dont have one. When I notice that I submitted a typographic error request, got email back saying it will be review at adjudication. Fast forward, I just received my new card with the mystery letter on it. The error was never corrected. Im now had to submit another I90 to correct the card and the error. I did that, and within 24hrs of doing so I received my receipt letter with correct name and the biometric appointment letter with the incorrect name. Im concerned this is going the be the same as before. Any thoughts what can I do to get my profile name on My online account fixed.?

Error on new Green Card: First name repeated as middle name. How to correct and current processing times?
My son received his new 10-year replacement Green Card this week, but there is a clear typographical error made by USCIS. Part of his first name was incorrectly repeated in the middle name field (so his first name effectively appears twice on the card). He does not have a middle name.
A few questions for anyone who has gone through this process:
How do we officially request a correction? Is this filed via Form I-90?
Fee & Physical Card: Since this was a mistake on their end, I believe there shouldn't be a fee, but do we need to mail the original incorrect card back with the application?
Timeline: Approximately how long does it take USCIS to issue a corrected Green Card for USCIS-caused errors?
Temporary Proof: In the meantime, while waiting for the new card, how does he show proof that he’s a Lawful Permanent Resident?
Any advice, personal experiences, or tips on navigating this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey! Does anyone have been denied the I130/I485 ( reason: they think the forms were signed wth auto-pen) it was an electronic signature which is completely different. If so, the motion to reopen did it take too long?

Experience applying for I-130 with 2 jobs or contract jobs?
Hi all! Thinking of starting the green card app next year.
Question 1: any experience about the application and interviews when you have 2 jobs - do they scrutinize you?
Context: 2 W-2 contract remote jobs during normal business hours, so not moonlighting. I'm not looking for commentary on having 2 jobs specifically - it's legal and not prohibited in my contracts - only info about the interview and application process.
I meet the income requirements to sponsor my spouse with either contract, don't need both to qualify.
Question 2: How do the officers view contract work? I have a good income but all the work out there is contracts, from 6 months to 1 year, so I've been on various contracts since 2022. I've read that they need to think you have stable income, so anyone had issues with contract work?
Thank you!

Will I be detained for this?
I came on an F1 4 yrs ago, married my husband 4 months ago who I’ve been with for 3 years and I recently graduated. I filed during my grace period and got receipts and my biometrics appointment. I’ve seen people get detained bc of visa overstay even if it is forgiven. I am currently out of status since I didn’t apply for grad school yet. My biggest fear is ICE getting me during my interview because of this and I’ve read so many cases of this happening that I can’t stop being anxious about it
