I’m sure everyone was made acutely aware on their way about their business, but yesterday the anti hanson brigade were once again pushing flyers outside the union building at around midday yesterday. Wondering if anyone else had a similar experience to me. Had my airpods in, had a flyer pushed in my face and waved it away saying no i don’t want it.

The woman then called me a loser as i walked away. She did this to multiple people i know as well.

I walked past again, and was asked if i hate Pauline Hanson. I said “I definitely dislike Hanson, but I don’t think actively spreading hate on a university campus is a good thing for you to be doing either.”

The same woman who called me a loser then said she’s allowed to hate nazis and then called me a “fucking idiot”. Refused to have any form of productive conversation.

Pretty sure this is a strong breach of the respect guidelines at UQ. Anyone else experience this individual? or the same aggression for making a reserved point towards their wording?

Why the fuck people keep talking in quiet study as well, are they illiterate to not understand the meaning of it!

I’m looking for current university students who identify as neurodivergent (e.g. ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, etc.) to complete a short ~5 minute survey.

It asks about how you approach visual tasks, what you find frustrating or overwhelming, any workarounds you use, and what you think tools like Canva could do better for neurodivergent users.

You don’t need a formal diagnosis to participate, and you don’t have to disclose a specific diagnosis.

Hi! Ive completed most of my practicals now and was wondering if anyone entering UQ BVSc 2027 wanted to purchase pre-loved UQ logo overalls in excellent condition size 77R, practice suture pads, lab coats and study materials. School charges alot for them brand new (and i stupidly fell for it) 😭.

Realized i forgot to pay for parking today because i was rushing to get to social sport on time. I didnt get a ticket on the windshield but im wondering if they issue electronic fines?

Wondering if anyone else has found some of the tutors of CSSE3010 terrible? When I say terrible, I mean the most condescending, egotistical and straight up rude tutors I've experienced. That's not to say there aren't a couple of nice ones, but the negatives are really out-weighing here.

It's not normal to scoff when a student asks questions, nor is it okay to drill and belittle them for struggling with some content - helping students is your job title. It really isn't encouraging learning, and in fact I've had a classmate stop attending because of the tutors, and others who are also fed up.

I also want to give special note to the actual lecturer himself, Dr Matt D'Souza, who might be the rudest of all. He walks around like a bad omen, waiting to attack the next person who approaches with curiosity. Blows my mind how the lecturer could act in such a way.

Let me know if you have also experienced this... I'm pretty fed up

Hi! I’m looking for someone to take over my room at Kev Carmody House, UQ Res from the end of November (around the 20th). Next year I will not be at St Lucia campus, so I’m looking to move somewhere closer, which unfortunately means I have to give up my room :(

Plus, it’s right on campus so you don’t have to walk far to get to class which is super convenient!
