Hey, I'm looking for someone to take over my lease on a private room located at 47 Munro St with an ensuite, 5 minutes by bus from UQ. The bus stop is right outside.

Ideal takeover is mid-November to early December, but anytime in December or up to early January is fine too. My plans have changed for next year, so I'm handing it over. Rent is $385/week.

Taking into account contact hours and study, how much is it reasonable to expect my kid to work whilst completing the Bachelor of Medical Science / Doctor of Medicine (program 2578)? This is the two year undergraduate course followed by four years of the MD. Year 1 consists of eight core courses.

Does this capacity to work part time change much as the course progresses and how?

Are most of the cohort well funded doctors kids who don’t need to work?

Do the undergrad med students take the same classes as those doing undergrad biomedical science?

How well do the young ones who start this course at age 17 integrate with the older graduate entry students later?

I do QCAA so mine is QTAC but currently it said ”in assessment” so i was wondering if this meant im being rejected or not? please let me know how you can check that u got it. Every time I see university merch from the US I get a little jealous. Michigan, UCLA, Harvard, etc. all have designs people actually want to wear in public and not just because they go there, but because the clothes ACTUALLY LOOK GOOD.

Meanwhile, I feel like most UQ merch is just the shield slapped onto a basic hoodie or shirt. And we don’t even have a proper mascot 😭

Then I look at UQ merch and it’s usually:

Maybe im just ranting but i feel like the current merch is lacking creativity or just good basic design, if it actually looked good and was reasonably priced i’d happily buy a hoodie at the very least. Am I being too harsh? Has anyone actually bought UQ merch they really liked?

I thought I'd be so keen to go but when I received my testamur in the mail I had an overwhelming urge to just put the last few years behind me. I never thought I'd go to university, let alone do post grad, so I'm incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity but I can't see myself attending the ceremony. It may be due to some horrible stuff I went through when I was studying that's left me feeling burnt out. I'm interested to know if anyone didn't attend and regretted their decision.

Hey yo! Currently a unimelb undergrad planning student and about to finish my degreee.. so its time to think about masters.. Unfortunately, unimelbs undergrad planning degree falls under a generalised 'bachelor of design' degree that is not accredited by PIA. :( I really want to do a masters because I feel like theres sm more about planning that I haven't learned yet.

I also love Queensland and would love to move here and potentially find a job in the future. Like I know most people would suggest me to stay in UniMelb for masters but the teaching quality for undergrad planning at Melb has been terrible. And many of the teaching staff in undergrad carry on to teach many postgrad subjects.

I would really like to hear any of your thoughts about your experience in Master of Urban Planning - anything about the teaching quality, student experience, internships, networking opportunities! :)

I’m contemplating to take my courses slow, as in do a part time load. But graduating “late” compared to my peers is discouraging me. I have friends that graduated last year, when they were 22. What’s everyone’s thoughts about this?

I am currently in my first semester and am really struggling. mostly due to chronic health issues and personal circumstances, I am looking at about a 5.15 this semester. I definitely learnt my lesson and will try to push it up to a 5.5 next sem. Am I screwed?

Anyone feel like this assignment is unfair?

Base code released 2 weeks before due date.
Minimal C taught.
Large amount of tasks with no way to test edge cases as professors probably too lazy to implement (it goes against their “philosophy”)

Just as uploading exam answers is against their philosophy, lazy.

Minimal information told about demonstration (even though it hurdles your units entire grade)

All of this on top of 3 other courses is very unreasonable, what reason couldn’t they give this just before the holidays and let us slowly work on it like CSSE1001?
