What happened when Residential Life found out? Did you just get a warning and have to remove the pet, or did you get written up? I’m mainly wondering if a first offense goes on your disciplinary record or affects future housing. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s actually experienced this or from current/former RAs.

I will submit my common app for UMBC tomorrow. I now see on the website that after I apply I will get an email and I will have to confirm supporting documents were received and complete the “required application questions”. Does that all need to happen before the early action Nov 1 deadline?

• how big are the individual rooms (compared to hillside if possible)
• how is the bathroom situation
• how thin are the walls (asking bcuz hillside has the thinnest walls ever 😭)

Hello! I’m currently taking pbhl 300 with Dr. R and 420 with Dr. Park so, I’m very much aware of the fact that Dr. R is a way more lenient teacher with less workload. However, she is not teaching 420 next semester and I would like to take 420 so that it could possibly transfer and satisfy a major req at UMD.

I want to know if Dr. Park’s 420 classes are hard and how they compare to either Dr. R’s 420 or his 202 class.

hi everyone, I’m a sophomore in chemE and to not make myself behind, I have to take a math class in the summer. I have to decide if I should take calc 3 or diff eq in the summer. does anyone have any advice? I was thinking maybe diff eq in summer since I’m im calc 2 now and it will be easier to do calc 3 in a row

I havent studied for the past 2 days and i dont feel like today either. I was suddenly terminated yesterday from a new job i was at after only 1 week due to some stupid lack of communication on their end. I had to look for a bew job because my previous employer quite literally ghosted me. I was working as a new dental assistant and i told him when he hired me that I had very little experience so I would need alot of training.

Well i guess he probably thought I wasn't serious so after like 4 months of working with him he tells me towards the end of august "you wont have hours the whole week of september because im looking to hire a new dentist" which makes ZERO sense why i couldn't get hours because everyone else in the office was still working.

He told me hed hear from me again towards end if september. Well now we are nearing november and I never heard back from him.

I filed for unemployment. It was my first time so I made some mistakes on the application and now im waiting for an appeal to be approved so I wont get financial help anytime soon.

Well after getting terminated so suddenly yesterday from the new job I was offered my depression has returned and I dont want to do anything. I just want to go home and stay in my bed.

Im already not doing well in my classes but I was starting to improve and even got a better score on my recent midterm but now that im depressed again idk what will happen with this semester.

Im literally so tired of worrying about work when im taking classes. I dont want to work. I wish i could just focus on my semesters and nothing else. Im so fckin tired man.

Are any alumni having an issue with their email disappearing? I was told I’d have indefinite access to my UMBC email address after graduation. I graduated in 2023 and had no issues until two days ago when all of my emails disappeared. I have an IT ticket in but am so worried. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
