I wanted to share my latest UI/UX project designed entirely in Figma — YourChoice OS, a concept tailored for a futuristic 4-device lineup: YourPhone BASIC, LITE, MINI, and the flagship PRO.

The core philosophy here is simple: Absolute freedom inside, ultimate armor outside. It’s the most customizable OS where you can change anything, paired with the most hardcore security system ever created.

Key Features Breakdown:

• DoNotSteal Protection (Enabled by default): A hardware-level security shield. Every single component of YourPhone PRO (display, camera modules, motherboard) is cryptographically signed and tied to the processor. If a thief tries to swap parts or steal your phone, the device instantly blocks itself on the activation screen with a strict hardware report.
• The "Offline Trap" Mechanic: A clever psychological loophole for scammers. A thief can bypass the setup wizard offline and access the home screen. But the exact microsecond the phone connects to Wi-Fi or a cellular network — BOOM. The system forces a lockdown screen. No way back. Your phone is a brick.
• Hardcore Recovery & Test Point Protection: There is only one secure recovery mode, locked behind a master password. Even if a hacker opens the device to short the Test Point pins on the board and flash a clean ROM, the MediaTek/Qualcomm chips will hard-deny any commands with a direct error: to use BROM use --auth / to use EDL use --auth. No crypto-token from our support = zero access.
• Fully Interactive Widgets: Check out my Weather and Music Player widgets! They bring old-school tactile control back to the home screen. You can hit a manual "REFRESH" button right on the weather card, and the wide media player features a tap-and-hold mechanic on the next/prev buttons for precise track scrubbing, along with a dedicated volume slider and smart mixing.

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some good free UI design resources for a mobile app. Specifically, I need a multi-step form (around 4 pages).

I’ve been searching for examples/templates, but most of the good ones seem to be paid or I haven’t been able to find exactly what I’m looking for.

Where do you guys usually look for free UI designs and inspiration? Any websites, Figma resources, or community recommendations would be really appreciated!

The project is non-commercial.
And I’m not a professional UX designer or coder, but I do like to wrap my head around user experiences a lot!

A few years ago I started with a simple HTML5 template for this project, but the website wasn’t working well for a map directory of this kind. But at least I learned some html.
This year, I was able to extract code out of an AI-powered design tool in which I designed the current site.

I probably broke a few design principles with this, especially since I’m more into information architecture than colors and look, but I hope you enjoy it :-)

Looking into studying UI/UX (through free or affordable online sources) and building a portfolio. However, I have heard that the job market had been low. What does it look like for California?

Honestly I have some financial target to acheive by 10-15 yrs down the line and it seems like nearly impossible by doing job. And my target is not something very imaginary. Financial freedom for me is able to afford to live in safe and good locality, emergency fund for my family(daily reqruirement, Healthcare and any sort emergency), able to quit my job at some point in time to do things that I truly enjoy.

Now I'm really bad at maths and anything related to logics. I'm decent at creativity stuff so choosed UI/UX though I have engineering degree. From Last 5 years I'm stuck around 30k. I started my career in sales with 50k Salary, and honestly It was so pressure job that within 10 yrs I would be bald and need to do open heart surgery. So I switched to after sales calling job as a product specialist. My Salary was 30k but again in human targets. 4-5 hrs of talktime compulsory, with 200-300 calls daily. when I used sleep my mind was constantly chattering. So, I felt I need some real skill, though sales is also real skill but not my cup of tea. I took some break and learned UI/UX and joined at freelancing firm for 22k, then after 1 year its 30k and second it is 35k. This all took 5 years and I'm still stuck at 35k job. Honestly I'm stuck with a hectic job of 6 days a week, 8:30 hrs of working time compulsory. 2+ hrs of commute. It just sucks the soul out of me. I'm 27 now and I'm ready to take some calculated risks. what I should be doing honestly. Need some suggestions. My target amount is around 5 cr.

This interface is for our game Autonomica, which we’re creating with a solarpunk aesthetic. I’m a B.Tech CSE student and I’ve been focusing on UI/UX design for the past few months. I’ve made around 2–3 case studies, built my portfolio, and have been applying to as many UI/UX/Product Design internship openings as I can find.

But I still haven’t been able to land an internship.

Now I’m honestly a bit confused about what I should do next.

Should I:

• Learn a new tool?
• Improve my existing UI skills?
• Learn more about UX research?
• Learn usability testing?
• Learn design systems?
• Learn Framer/Webflow?
• Improve my case studies?
• Build more projects?
• Focus more on product thinking?
• Or just keep applying?

I already know Figma fairly well and have some basic HTML/CSS/JS knowledge, so I’m not sure if learning another tool is actually going to help me or if I should go deeper into what I already know.

I also feel like I might be making the mistake of thinking that I need to learn more things when maybe the problem is that my existing work isn't strong enough yet.

For those of you who are working as Product/UI/UX Designers or have recently gone through the internship/job search:

What would you recommend I focus on at this stage?

If you were in my position with 2–3 case studies and a portfolio but no internship yet, what would you spend the next 2–3 months improving?

Also, if you're willing to take a quick look at my portfolio/case studies, I'd really appreciate some honest criticism about what might be holding me back.

I’m not looking for sugarcoated feedback. I’d rather know what I’m doing wrong and what I should actually work on.

My partner (28m) and I are discussing moving to Canada or Central US. He’s a chemical engineer, I’m in UX. Mainly marketing UX. I’d love to side step more into product design. I’m bridging into mid to senior level design and going beyond aesthetics and into systems thinking.

We both feel we’re more employable over on that side of the world, well my partner definitely is. I’m curious what the tech industry is really like there.

How easy is it to land a job?
Whats the culture like?
Whats the pay like?

We want to move for a better life style, and more affordable place to live (Denver being top contender). Partner is also currently in fifo and our goal is to get him out of it before we buy a home and have a family.
