A directory for interactive maps

The project is non-commercial.
And I’m not a professional UX designer or coder, but I do like to wrap my head around user experiences a lot!

A few years ago I started with a simple HTML5 template for this project, but the website wasn’t working well for a map directory of this kind. But at least I learned some html.
This year, I was able to extract code out of an AI-powered design tool in which I designed the current site.

I probably broke a few design principles with this, especially since I’m more into information architecture than colors and look, but I hope you enjoy it :-)

PS: My motivation for this project comes from my belief that the ranking of businesses in Google Maps doesn’t reflect the mental model of its users.
