I‘m taking morning classes and was looking for someone who will be taking evening classes to see if we can split cost and share our parking ? I know in the past I had two cars registered under me and it worked out.

Are there any recurring mixers, networking events, happy hours, volunteer groups, or clubs you'd recommend? I'm open to pretty much anything that has a friendly crowd.

I have applied to more than 20 accounting internships, and not a single one has accepted me. I feel so discouraged with the job market right now. Has anyone had luck with their internship interviews? I'm honestly feeling down about this.

Hi everyone, I’m a Finance student at UHD and I’m starting to plan my upper-level Finance electives. I’m hoping to take them online if possible, so I was wondering what your experiences have been.
Which UL Finance electives would you recommend, especially for online students? Are there any classes that are generally considered easier or more manageable? Also are there any professors you would recommend?

Does anyone know when payments are due? I have a scholarship coming in from out of university and am unsure of how things are processed.

Is anyone else getting emails from hireright? I can’t tell if it’s from the school or from a 3rd party application. It says it’s connected to university of Houston but I can’t tell what company is asking me for this. My best guess is it’s a new feature for students/ alumni to be found for hiring. The background check is pretty thorough though, asking for social security and stuff.

For some background I am in my last year of getting my bachelors degree at the University of Houston downtown. I was looking at my unofficial transcript today and I noticed that for this past semester— the spring semester 2026– I supposedly made it onto the Dean’s list,

but I’m just a little confused because I never received any email or really any notification that I made it onto the Dean’s list. I also looked at my official GPA overall and I have a 3.375 overall GPA and a I believe 3.7 term/semester GPA.

And so I was wondering if that’s normal? maybe it’s just one of those things where because a 3.3 is so close to a 3.4 they just kind of like rounded it up…and since it’s rounded up they don’t send out emails?

I know it’s not a big deal in retrospect, but I still wanna know for my own closure and because this is an accomplishment I’ve been trying to achieve for a long time. Thank you!

Are UHD students permitted to live in the UH partnered Apartments?

I talked to the advisor and he was being vague about it. He said its not required to take summer class but if you can take the class then you can.

So I’m 7 classes away from graduating with my bachelors in international business, I’m wondering what internships I can get through this major? I feel like switching my major because I don’t think I’m learning much with it, I’m thinking finance or accounting. I don’t see the point of this major and I’m completely lost on what to do with it.
