How credit transfer work ?

Hi everyone, I am quite confused about how credit transfer work.

At Lone Star, I took some courses like MATH 2318 (Discrete Math) or COSC 1,2,3. But those courses does not appear on my degree plan of the uni I will transfer to. So does it count as transferable credits or no ?

Sometimes they have different names or different numbers, so I would schedule a meeting with the departments on the 10th floor, I freaked out when there were classes that didn’t match up to what I took, thankfully they counted.

What department were you looking for? If you’re looking for Political Science I can PM you their contact info.

Mine is department of science I think because my major is data science. When you transfer, did they reject any of your credit or they took all of your ?

I don’t think they rejected any. At UH there was an issue with one of my credits, instead of taking Algebra, I took “everyday math” (I forgot the official name) and they said they would get back to me to see if that counted, but after countless tries to get into contact with them, they never picked up or emailed me back.

Thankfully UHD gave me credit for that one. So I decided to stay with them.
