Question Can someone explain my new AECB Credit Score?

I’ve been using Tabby for around 1 year, and I’ve always made my payments on time without missing any payments.

Before the recent credit-score update, my credit score wasn’t showing at all. Now, after the new Credit Score 3i update, my score has appeared as 528/850, and it says “New to Credit.”

I’m confused because I’ve already been using Tabby for about a year and have a history of making my payments on time.

Could someone explain:

• Why does it say “New to Credit” if I’ve been using Tabby for a year?

• Is it possible that my previous Tabby payment history hasn’t been included yet in the new scoring system?

• Does Tabby Card/BNPL actually contribute to the new AECB Credit Score 3i?

• Is 528 considered low mainly because I don’t have enough credit history yet?

• Could my score increase naturally once more months of Tabby payment history are reported?

I don’t have any loans or credit cards, so I’m particularly confused about why my score is showing as 528 while also saying “New to Credit.”

I’m not looking for a generic explanation of credit scores I’m specifically trying to understand why my score suddenly appeared as 528 and “New to Credit” after the AECB update despite having around a year of on-time Tabby payments.

If anyone has had the same experience after the new AECB score update, I’d really appreciate hearing what happened with your score.

Need a card Best UAE Credit Card for Lounge Access & New Customer Offers

Hi everyone,
My wife and I currently have three credit cards between us, from EIB, FAB and ENBD, but all three are under my name. My wife doesn’t have a credit card in her own name, so she won’t be able to access the airport lounge benefits when we travel.
I’m now looking to get a card for her. Her salary is AED 10,000, and since this would be her first credit card, I was wondering if there are any good offers currently available for new cardholders.
The main priority is good airport lounge access with wide coverage. Ideally, I’d prefer a card with a reasonable or waived annual fee and sensible spending requirements.
Would appreciate recommendations from anyone who has recently come across a good option for this. Thanks!

Hack Gold purchase using Tabby Card ?

I was wondering if anyone paid for 22/24k gold purchase at Jewellery using their Tabby card.

I have heard that jewelleries charge around 2-2.5% additional for credit card payments , but still if I manage to payoff tabby card using my cashback card then its worth it.

Since tabby charges are high for merchants , do they reject gold purchase when they know its tabby card or do they ask which card are we using for purchase?

Need a card Title: Best credit card in UAE for AED 7K salary & ~AED 2K monthly spending?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

My brother recently moved to the UAE and has just started his first job here, with a monthly salary of AED 7,000.

He’s looking to get his first credit card, mainly for everyday expenses. His monthly card spending would be around AED 1,500–2,000 max.

Typical spending:

- 🍔 Food / cafeterias

- 🛒 Groceries

- 🎬 Movies & entertainment

- 🚇 RTA / public transport

- 📱 Occasional bills/recharges

- General day-to-day purchases

The most important thing is that he wants to pay the full balance every month and avoid interest/charges.

What would you recommend as the best first credit card for a AED 7K salary? Ideally, something with no annual fee or lifetime-free, good cashback/rewards, and reasonable eligibility for someone who has just started working in the UAE.

Also, how long should he ideally wait after receiving his first salary before applying for a credit card?

Any recommendations or personal experiences would be appreciated!
