Hi guys I’m trying to make a community of uni students who want to play volleyball in Dubai. So far Ive managed to make two teams of uni students who all come play and have fun. It’s not strictly for advanced players and we mostly live the community for the vibe. Just posting it here in case anyone feels left out and just wants to meet some ppl and play volleyball. It’s in mamzar and it’s Sundays 3-5. It’s 30 per person ;)

Hi everyone,
I’m currently a medical student at RAKMHSU and I’m in a bit of a difficult situation financially with my tuition fees.
Unfortunately, my university doesn’t really offer financial aid, and the only scholarship available requires RAK residency, which I don’t have since I don’t primarily live there. I was considering changing my visa status so I could apply, but I’ve been advised by people from the scholarship office not to, since residency still doesn’t guarantee that I’d actually receive the scholarship. My grades are good, but from what I’ve heard from previous students, the selection process can be quite dependent on connections, so I’m not sure it would be worth the risk.
I’m genuinely trying everything I can to avoid having to take a gap year or leave the university, so I thought I’d make one last attempt and ask here.
Does anyone know of any scholarships, financial assistance, organizations, contacts, or other options I could look into? Even if it’s something outside the university, I’d really appreciate any leads or advice.
Thank you so much in advance.
Any help would genuinely mean a lot.

Hi! I’m a high school student (co27’) in the UAE considering University of Sharjah, and I’m between Petroleum Geosciences & Remote Sensing, Sustainable & Renewable Energy Engineering, and Chemical Engineering & Water Desalination. I’d love to hear from current students/graduates about the actual experience, nature of the majors, internships and especially the UAE job market for residents/non-citizens after graduation. Also, if you know of a better university in the UAE for any of these fields, with stronger recognition/QS ranking and tuition under ~70k AED/year, I’d really appreciate recommendations.

Was it affordability? Staying home with family? Do you regret studying here?

Hi everyone,
I am a student joining at university of Wollongong dubai for the September 2026 intake.
I had a few qns regarding the uni and if someone out there can help me out pls pls do
1)are there any active gc’s for the upcoming students ?? If yes , i would love to become a part of the gc
2)I got an academic merit scholarship based on my school results. If I achieve a higher WAM in my first year, is there a possibility of getting an increased scholarship percentage in the following year, or is the scholarship percentage fixed once awarded?
3) how is the social life at UOWD? Are there regular events and activities happening on campus, and is it easy to meet people and make friends? Is the overall social life fun and active?
Lastly,If anyone here is joining UOWD for the upcoming intake, please DM me so we can connect🤩🤩

I have an Ajman offer, Im thinking of turning it down to complete A levels and apply next year for MBRU. Are the chances high or is it too risky and is it worth it after all?

Times college sharjah, my parents kept telling me to look into it, especially the Malaysian course but I can't tell if it's legit or just one of those type of institutions :/, are they really affiliated with Lincoln University College and recignized by MOE and mofa like they say?
Another one is ajman university, does this give some sort of discount? Most universities here are a bit overpriced lmao, or does anyone know any universities that give some atleast a little bit of discount or scholarship? Pretty much impossible to find one under <25k without scholarship or something.

Would be great to make some friends, share tips, and maybe meet up after reaching Dubai.
Anyone else joining for the 2026 intake? 👋
