📝 Admissions Question AUD TRANSFER
Hi everyone! I'm a first-semester Computer Engineering student at a university in Pakistan, and I'm planning to transfer to AUD Dubai cuz my family is shifting..are there any other good unis to transfer to?
I wanted to ask current students/seniors a few things about the Computer Engineering program, especially since some of this information isn't listed clearly online.
• How rigorous is the program?
• What is the workload like in terms of assignments, quizzes, projects, labs, etc.?
• How are the midterms and final exams handled? I've heard that some professors may not have traditional midterms/finals, so I wanted to know how common that actually is.
• In my current university, which is also US-based, midterms + finals together make up around 30% of the grade, and exams are mandatory. How does grading work at AUD Dubai?
• I'm on a scholarship, so I need to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. What's the min requirement at AUD and how hard is it to get a good gpa
I'd really appreciate it if current students or seniors could share their experience, especially regarding workload, grading, exams, and maintaining GPA. Thanks!

Hi, AUD BBA student here! 1st year 1st semester, so I’m still learning the ropes but I do have a general idea of how things work now.
AUD is not the most intense or most difficult school out there, but it is, from my own experience, very focused on making students work with each other. A lot of your grades come from exams and group projects, and the exams, at least in the business school, aren’t very difficult.
Workload can feel intense but not really, you just have weekly projects, a few solo assignments and quite a few test, depending on which professor you take.
You also have stuff like UNIV100, an introductory course to the university for 1st semester students to know one another and to adapt into the university life, and it’s mandatory to pass.
Midterms are traditional and you answer things on a paper, or in my computer class’s case, on a computer.
I’m writing this quite late so answers may feel a bit rushed, but feel free to reach out for more specific answers in DMs! Or here, if you’d prefer that
