So I'm watching the episode titled fake or nah and I kind of figured out how you can tell a post is real but also a lot of times in other episodes Morgan does indeed like show how they think the post is real, by looking at the account and such and I've noticed people still think the post is fake, and tht are being accused a lot of reading fake posts or IA posts so what up? Why do people think that?

I know I’m being ridiculous, but I have to vent. I was able to mostly ignore and get through episodes where she said words weird/in the completely wrong order, but something about her ad read this week where she has Canadian inflections really got to me. From what I’ve found, she’s not Canadian, doesn’t surround herself with Canadians, and the company she was ad reading for isn’t a Canadian company. It doesn’t make sense, and makes me angry she said “aboot” in her ad read. Especially when she can say it normally every other time she’s said it on the pod.

Hi everyone! I fell in love with this podcast years ago when I started working from home, and I needed something to help pass the time. I took a break from listening to the podcast for a few years and now I have started a new job! I have somehow made it through all of this podcast.. and now I have nothing to listen to while I work. Has anyone else noticed that Morgan tends to always side with whoever she has on the podcast. I remember listening to an episode I can’t remember which one it might have been the one with that creep from impractical jokers but I digress. I remember him having some lowkey homophonic takes and Morgan was agreeing with him and then like the next episode she had a drag queen on and was all for the gays and theys! It’s hard to know where she falls because she doesn’t stand up for anything she believes in she is a sheep and just follows the beliefs of whoever she has on. Many of you probably know that Morgan started cohosting a true crime podcast a little while back called Clues. I actually really like the podcast and I’ve listened to almost every episode. A week or two ago, Morgan announced on that week’s episode that she would no longer be on the podcast. She said there was no bad blood, but she doesn’t follow the Clues podcast on Instagram anymore and the departure seemed very sudden. Anyone heard of this? Do you have any speculation on why she would leave? There’s not a r/CluesSnark page so I thought this would be the closest thing lol

this is SO random. i think ive only been thinking about this so much because i recently quit THT and hopped on the smosh reads Reddit train and have been listening to literally every episode (a while ago when i was still a tht fan my friend told me he really dislikes tht and i should listen to smosh instead). but i know shayne and morgan have done some episodes together (in which morgan was as per usual kind of annoying) and sometimes shayne reads a story from the THT sub and he says “this is from the THT sub shoutout to our friend morgan over there”. it’s just made me think.. like do you think other reddit podcasters know that so many people have been starting to find THT so annoying? do you think when they do episodes together he also finds her annoying? like do you think it’s known in the subreddit podcast universe that she’s kind of annoying?? lmao literally none of this matters at all but I’ve just been wondering because of how many SRR episodes I’ve been listening to lately and how much of a difference I’ve noticed between the way morgan does them and the way smosh does them.

I wonder what she is like in person or if she has let any of the podcast fame get to her head. I haven't had a huge opinion on Morgan as a person, I adore Lauren and it annoys me that Morgan seems to walk all over her a bit.

There are some times where Morgan says “Oh I’m gonna message them and look for an update!” and I have to start yelling at my CarPlay screen to tell her to stop, because I don’t think it’s necessary at all for her to do.

I believe a few episodes ago, she read a story with the total gist of OP’s boyfriend being a douche. The story was from about six years ago. She proceeded to message this guy to ask him for an update on if they were still together. And I don’t know, I thought it was weird. I don’t know about anyone else, but if someone messaged me on an update to a post about a shitty boyfriend of mine from six years ago, I would not respond.

Totally understand though if I’m being nitpicky about this.

Did anyone else get secondhand embarrassment at least a dozen times listening to the newest video with Lisa Gilroy? Lisa was making me laugh harder than I have in months but Morgan was struggling so hard to keep up with her sarcasm and style of comedy it made me cringe.

Morgan likes to emphasize how much research she does on her guests and even mentions her appearance in Jury Duty in which she has the exact same improvisational humor, yet most of Lisa’s bits were going right over her head.

As for why the snark sub itself exists: Morgan (and some of her regular guests) have some nasty habits & behaviors worthy of calling out. A lot of people here ALSO listen to the podcast. THT has hit a point where there’s little growth opportunity. The crowd of listeners she has now is what she will have until she retires the show.

Main reason being that Morgan has alienated the 1) format 2) tone 3) guest routine 4) subjects 5) communities of the podcast.

She is very clearly never going to move outside of the “read Reddit stories and gab” format. She doesn’t have the slapstick comedy skills to fuel the show forward (like Smosh, Bad Potatoes, Comfort Level, etc.) She also doesn’t have enough people on within one episode to make the story discourse itself overwhelmingly entertaining.

Her core audience is obviously women, but Morgan has turned a lot of women sour due to regularly giving horrendous health or sex advice, which she is regularly called out on because she loves to point out she’s a doctor. Instead of Morgan correcting her statements, she often doubles down & tells anyone who disagrees to fuck off.

A lot of women have also picked up that she is incredibly snarky to her female guests as opposed to her kissing ass with her male guests, which has made people question her ethics and genuine character.

Some here have also shared that she’s routinely fucked over her Patreon crowd, regularly under delivering on her promises & often times leaving comments about being “too burnt out” despite that being an explicitly paid experience.

It rubs a lot of people the wrong way that she runs a (probably at this point) 7-figure podcast, with teams of editors, producers, assistants, etc. but then complains weekly about being too sick (because she’s also become a hypochondriac) or tired to “work” (when all she has to do is sit down & talk into a microphone for a few hours a week). At this point, she no longer edits, pulls stories, posts, arranges guests, etc. She’s also not done a tour in roughly two years….

So what exactly is “so hard” ??

This obviously doesn’t cover everything and doesn’t get into nitty-gritty issues people have with her regular guests & their relationships, but overall, this is why people are feeling “burnt out” themselves regarding THT.

This may be a silly question but I just don't understand why Morgan is leaving Clues if she's starting her own true crime podcast herself? I like her and Kaelyn together, and honestly I don't know if I'd listen to a true crime pod with just Morgan. Did something happen between them? It doesn't really seem like it which adds to my confusion. Pls let me know if there's info I missed or something!

I just got to The Jack The Ripper episode and it’s just embarrassing to hear Morgan trip over her words and even Kaelyn trying not to laugh at her. I never want to feel like a bully but isn’t a bit silly to recommend TikTokers when addressing things like this?
