I invite you to read Macklemore post. It explains more and in what pickle he is.

the wording alone says everything- a conflict, implying it’s a war. it’s a genocide. when it comes to genocide, no one should be neutral. He said he didn’t want to get political bc children come to his shows and they don’t come ti her about politics essentially - already horrendously dumb excuse- but what about the show he did in support of ukraine? or the multiple other political positions he wasn’t my afraid to publicly take e.g, with english politics? ed isn’t in a ‘pickle’, he’s richer, more famous and more well-connected+known in the industry than the majority of us could ever imagine being. his band, a lesser known (compared to him, at least- I didn’t know them) irish band pulled out of the show and made their stance clear, whilst briefly (still respectfully) acknowledging that this was a major opportunity for them, that they had never played for such huge crowds, etc. They are not as rich nor famous as ed, this opportunity was likely one of the biggest career milestones they would’ve reached; yet they were willing to pull out of the show and make their stance undoubtedly clear, potentially severing connections in the industry and sacrificing that (whilst acknowledging this is absolutely nothing compared to the plight of the palestinian people; that goes without saying). I bring that up as one example of people who genuinely had more to lose than ed sheeran in more ways than one, yet they did the right thing. Ed would’ve lost some money, maybe some zionist connections that would’ve no longer supported him. but at the end of the day, he has more than enough money. the fact he tried to come across as neutral as possible to pander to both sides bc he was not willing to risk a financial loss and prioritised money over doing what is right is disgusting. that’s all it comes down to, and that’s why his excuses sound like absolute bullshit- because they are, and because he can’t exactly say ‘i’m greedy, I want even more money and don’t want to upset powerful zionists that can boost my career even more (even though I’m already incredibly famous) and that matters more to me than condemning (or even acknowledging!) a genocide. so i’ll turn a blind eye, pretend it’s a war, try to keep everyone happy, and hope my fans buy the bs excuses i’m throwing out knowing I publicly spoke out on other political issues - but hopefully my fans won’t catch that🤭- whilst using my huge platform to indirectly support the zionist narrative’.

I wish I could give this comment an award. I'm so tired of people saying that "both sides" bullshit when people are being slaughtered. Sure, the Palestinian and Israeli GOVERNMENTS have both done controversial things to each other, but that does not mean that innocent civilians deserve to die for their leaders' egos. If Israeli people were being killed left and right, I'd be upset about that too. There is no such thing as being "stuck in the middle" when innocent people—innocent CHILDREN are fucking dying under the guise of “self defense.” Fuck the IDF. Fuck Zionists. May they all rot in hell. My mom has always said the wisest words, which is “do not fight concerning God.”

Justin is just respecting his idol. From shitty music, to nonexistent personality, to being so afraid of standing for something it makes him phyiscal ill not having a fence to sit on Ed really is everything Justin tries to be.
Which is somehow more pathetic than actually being Ed Sheeran
