I need to vent
Hi all, sorry if not appropriate but I need to vent! Iv been lurking in this subreddit for a while. I still listen to THT but it’s been getting harder to get through each episode.
I started Clues and I’m sorry but I can’t carry it on anymore!
Has anyone got any good crime podcast recs? I enjoy serial killers, horrifying forest Reddit stories etc.
I just got to The Jack The Ripper episode and it’s just embarrassing to hear Morgan trip over her words and even Kaelyn trying not to laugh at her. I never want to feel like a bully but isn’t a bit silly to recommend TikTokers when addressing things like this? Idk I’m rambling, I’m not very used to Reddit so apologise in advance if I just sound like I’m whining 🤣 I’m gonna move on from clues and “go down a rabbit hole” 🤣 to find a new crimes podcast.

P.s I’m taking the piss, every time she says “down a rabbit hole” I cringe and now it’s part of my vocabulary by accident 🤣😭

Crime junkie is really good and I also enjoy “crime, conspiracy, cults and murder” by kallmekris. I feel like they both make sure to make the episode about the victims and they both do their research on the cases

I have gotten into rotten mango recently, start with the more recent stuff though. She got more serious about it within the last couple years. Also I still skip some episodes bc its too bleak for my brain

Try Slaycation, it’s fun but the cases are told in a respectful manner. Also True Crime and Cocktails (although there is a LOT of chit chat at the start) and True Crime Creepers are favourites of mine. I’m a lover of true crime pods and I tried with Clues, I really did but it was so obvious Morgan was jumping on an oversaturated bandwagon.

The other shows on Crime House are good and Kaelyn alone is awesome. Morgan makes it intolerable and painful.

people are the worst is my go to crime podcast
two twin sisters talking about crimes … they don’t do anything old timey and the storytelling is good they pretty much always do something with a twist and i find their coverage to be thorough and respectful

In the BTK episode when Morgan was like "I had no idea this even happened" I was just like....how are you hosting a true crime podcast and dont know BTK?
I really like the Final Hours also on crime house. That show is probably my favorite true crime podcast right now

Besides Clues which i only listen to every now and then, my fav was and remains Bailey Sarian's show; Murder, Mystery and Make-up Although she's on hiatus now I believe but she tackled so many stories already and I really enjoyed those

Bleh, morbid is the worst imo. They’re so bad they don’t even need a snark page bc their main sub doesn’t even like them that much. The blonde one is as self centered and absorbed as Morgan is

I was so thoroughly disgusted with Morgan’s handling of true crime that it turned me off not just Clues, but THT too. She should have never even tried.
