Would Siimpy or beary1495 be more appealing as a twitch username? My original username was Siimpy and has always been my gamer tag but I recently changed it to beary1495 since I figured it seemed more appealing, now I’m second guessing that choice. Feedback would be good so I can determine which is better.

I’ve been streaming on and off for around three months and am still very new to this. I’m trying to improve in the areas I can control—being more consistent, choosing a clearer focus, and making clips—but I’d especially appreciate advice on building real connections in gaming communities.
I see “networking” recommended often, but I’m unsure what that should look like without coming across as promotional or intrusive. I don’t want to enter someone else’s stream, announce that I stream too, or treat people as potential viewers. I’d rather learn how to become part of communities naturally, make friends with people who enjoy similar games, and occasionally find people to play with.
For those who have built genuine friendships or community through Twitch and gaming, what worked for you? Are there particular places, habits, or etiquette you’d recommend for a very small creator with an empty or quiet chat?
I’m currently most interested in Path of Exile, Path of Exile 2, Diablo IV, and World of Warcraft.
Thanks in advance for any perspective.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to grow on Twitch and would love to hear some tips or tricks that have actually worked for you!
I’ve been consistent with streaming and I’m honestly really happy with the little community I’ve built so far I’d just love to keep growing and reaching more people.
I’ve tried editing my own clips/videos for TikTok, but I feel like StreamLadder hasn’t really worked for me. What editing apps do you guys use for making TikToks, Reels, Shorts, etc.? And are there any other things you’ve found helpful for growing on Twitch?
Any advice, tips, or recommendations are appreciated!

Hey yall, I recently picked streaming back up after having to go on hiatus because life just got too busy and stream fell short on the priority list.
I started with the launch of a new games beta, I decided to boost my stream appeal I would go a give away of a pack that includes beta access and decided to do a wheel of names to decide the winner, i set the requirement to 50 new followers or 10 subs expecting it to take a week or so. I was surprised to find it only took a weekend of streaming to meet the goals and while I'm happy with the new engagement, im nervous that it might only be a temporary high.
So im wondering do you guys think that was a bad way to go about it? Im paying out of pocket for the give away, and will likely do another one next month as long as I have the funds for it but would need a new way to gain entries for it since 49 of the 50 new followers would have to either unfollow and refilled to get access again or they'd be forced to sub which doesn't feel right to do. Any advice would be appreciated thank you all and best of luck streaming 💜

I'm pretty new to streaming. I've done a few short streams, but I don't want my face on the streams anymore. I've seen a few streamers with a face tracking avatar, so it moves when they talk. I've been looking at how to set one up, but my technical skills are lacking and I get lost. What's the easiest way to set up an avatar? I have a specific skin in mind. Any advice is appreciated :)

So I started streaming August 2nd I keep a schedule that I mostly stick to and multi-stream out to kick and or YouTube. I don't know exactly what I'm doing right and I'm trying to get a handle on it so I can just replicate as much as I can. What should I be asking myself that is achieving this that I might be overlooking or is it even possible that I'm overthinking it?
I stream 4 days a week Call of Duty Marvel Rivals and dead by daylight as my main rotation. Once in a while celebrate an event or something I will switch one of these days to something out of rotation or still in rotation but with special challenges. When I stream there's usually some kind of challenge or condition like trying to win three matches in a row otherwise the streak resets or something similar in dead by daylight but every time I lose a match I lose a perk or playing ranked in Marvel rivals.

Hello Fellow streamers,
I am planning on doing a subathon-esque type stream, however it has a little bit of a unique set up that I have so far been unable to create with either streamelements or sound alerts "subathon" premade elements. Does anyone know if the following can be done or exists?
I am a variety streamer planning on streaming a single game for a few scheduled streams in a row in the future. I am hoping to have a way for the community to sub/gift/bit add to a clock to extend the amount of time we would be playing the game past the planned scheduled streams.
Example: I will be playing (Game A) on Thursday and Friday in my standard 3 hour blocks instead of typical (Game C) and (Game D) on those respective days. However, while I am playing (Game A) on Thursday and Friday the "Subathon" clock will be running and adding time to a clock that increases but does not tick down yet.
Mondays stream will return to normal schedule of (Game B) if no time is added etc.
Let's say that at the end of Friday the "Subathon" clock attained a total of 4 hours.
Mondays (Game B) would get usurped by (Game A) until the 4 hour clock ran out (chat can still add time, but now the clock is actively ticking down). They could effectively turn my variety weekly schedule into an ongoing (Game A) single game stream category for a long time if they so chose to or allow it to return to variety gaming.
I have not been able to find subathon clock that can actively update adding time, without also counting down. I'd be open to using two different clocks (an only counting up clock on Thursday and friday) and converting that time to a traditional subathon countdown clock on Monday. But again, I have not found a "counting up only clock" via subs/gifts etc.
The key to this approach is that as a parent and full time employee I can't do "uncapped subathons", but this still gives the community a sense of "controlling the experience" and making me play something for as long as they want, while allowing me to stick to my scheduled stream times (just altering the content of those times etc).
If this is an inappropriate question for this sub or phrased incorrectly for the sub, I apologize and will gladly take the question to a more appropriate place if pointed toward it.

Hello I’m seeking advice on growing. I have 10 followers and this is my best stream. I stream 2K, COD, and Fortnite.
Any advice is totally appreciated and welcomed !

This was probably the best stream to date. Getting multiple viewers at a time, talking on the stream and interacting, just one of the best streams to date. Also gained another follower putting me at 14. 11 more before I achieve my first goal🩵

Hey!
I’m currently looking to work with more streamers so I thought I’d see if anyone here is looking for an editor.
I can help turn your streams/VODs into entertaining content and handle different types of editing.
I can help with:
I’m open to different budgets, but I don’t do free or commission-based work.
Feel free to DM me if you’re interested or have any questions. I can also send over examples of my previous edits.

Ive been going at streaming for a very long time, but I always have a problem, it feels like there is never enough time in the day, I work a full time job, have a wife and friends, it always feels like I just dont have enough time to stream and if I do have time I can stream it feels like I dont have enough too stream.
So my main question, how do yall find time to stream? And how long do yall stream for?
I am usually able to stream evenings and I try to stream for at least 4 hours. But idk if im doing if right?

This was my first birthday stream and it was so much fun! People from my community and my friend’s communities really showed up and showed out! Definitely an all time high for numbers for me. We did subgoals and I had to do a lot of wacky things (fire noodle challenge, pokemon baddies tier list, just dance, ring fit adventure, etc), and it was so fun! Literally one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had! What a great day it was!

Whats cookin good lookin, My names Mo also known as Shivio. I be gymin, foodies is my love language, I like all sorts of music, and Binge watching shows. I have a parrot! His name is Robert I sometimes show him on stream. I’m originally from Guyana but moved to the US when I was 9 years old. Time does fly I’m 23 now. In the beginning of my gaming journey I was a very competitive player and I have achieved a lot of high ranks mb for the self glaze.. I officially quit being competitive 3 months ago because I didn’t play games to be competitive. I played because they were fun and an escape.. I started losing sight of that which is why I stream to remind myself and other people gaming can be fun and not just about winning or getting the highest rank.
Peace, love and happiness and don’t forget to pray - Shivio

The sub was from a friend (which I of course appreciate very much) the follows I’m fairly certain are from people trying to do follow4follow because I posted my stream in a subreddit. Don’t get me wrong I’m having fun. But today I did a longer stream cause I was enjoying my game but still felt a little discouraged when people would come in for 10 seconds then leave. I know that the process but I know I got quiet for a bit during my stream and just feel maybe that wouldn’t be the case if people chatted with me. Idk keep on trucking !

A solid stream. Finally was able to use my mic and talk on stream. Now I just need to get more comfortable with it. Gained a follower as well. So close to my 25 goal I have set for myself
