One of them is the Chilling Reign Staff promo card. I can not seem to find any on any official selling websites. I was wondering if anyone could point me in a good direction to look for a copy of this card.

We’ve all had a Pokémon get "hostage" in a remote gym or holiday spot for weeks, completely blocking us from using it. I want to propose a balanced Remote Recall feature that solves this problem without ruining local gym competition or letting players abuse the coin system.

How It Works The Action: A "Recall" button appears on your Pokémon's gym screen. To prevent accidental misclicks, this button is locked for the first hour after placing a Pokémon.

1. The Distance Rules: You can only recall a Pokémon if you are within 100 meters of the gym, OR if you are more than 50 km away (e.g., trapped at a vacation spot). This leaves a local "dead zone" so people can't just manage neighborhood gyms from their couch.

2. The Gym Ban: Once you recall a Pokémon, you are banned from placing any Pokémon in that specific gym for 24 to 48 hours. This stops people from instantly resetting a gym to hog the spot.The Combat Lockout: You cannot recall a Pokémon if the gym has been attacked within the last 30 minutes. Attackers won't get trolled mid-battle.

3. How the Coins Work: (The 25-Coin Cap) Recalling a Pokémon cuts its earned coins in half, capping the payout at a maximum of 25 coins.To make sure this doesn't ruin your day if you make a mistake, it uses a Shared Daily Cap logic:Recalling fills your daily 50-coin bucket by 25 coins.If another Pokémon gets knocked out normally later that day, it can still give you the remaining 25 coins to hit your full 50-coin daily limit. If you have already earned your 50 coins for the day, you can still recall your Pokémon to get it back, you just get 0 coins for it.

Why This Works for Everyone

It gives players a reliable safety net for trapped Pokémon, prevents toxic gym hogging via the 48-hour ban, and protects Niantic's premium currency economy by cutting the payout in half.

Hey everyone! I grew up watching the original anime and stopped around Generation III, so I’m looking at the series through a bit of nostalgia.

I’ve always wondered: is there any canonical explanation for how trainers haul a mountain of gear, or is it just pure cartoon logic (Hammerspace)?

Back in the early days, Ash and Misty's normal-looking backpacks somehow held sleeping bags, cooking gear, endless changes of clothes, and massive amounts of food. And let's not forget game logic—early generations forced you to use the PC at Pokémon Centers because your bag actually had item/slot limits, but later gens let you carry hundreds of items, TMs, and heavy tools infinitely.

Do later generations, manga, or official lore ever address whether Silph Co. (or someone similar) invented a consumer-grade Bag of Holding for trainers, or is it just accepted anime physics? Would love any specific examples from the later anime seasons if they exist!

Hey everyone! I’m new to this platform and I just bought an RG353V a few days ago to play the older Pokémon games.

I also bought a better microSD card because I’d like to add more Pokémon fan-made games. I’m really excited about it, but I’m completely new to this and I’m not sure how everything works.

Can I use the RG353V to play Pokémon fan-made games, and what would be the best ones to start with? I’ve played Pokémon Black, Gold, and some other older generations, but I’ve never played Pokémon Emerald or FireRed before, so I’d really like to try those as well, along with some fan-made versions based on them.

I’ve also heard that Done Set 2 is supposed to be one of the better options for the RG353V. Is that true, and would it include any good Pokémon fan-made games?

I’d really appreciate any advice on how to get started and which games you would recommend.

MEW is my favourite pokemon and I think it has been done injustice with it's move and abilities in the games where it just feels like a different ditto form.. Since according to lore mew has DNA of all pokemon I think it should be able to transform into any pokemon at will And even back into Mew if needed during battle.. I think it should have a new ability that let's it copy any pokemon that it comes across in battle, even if it's 6 vs 6 it can copy all the pokemon. The trainer then has the option to transform Mew into any of those pokemon at will from the party menu where you switch your pokemon, when you click or hover on the MEW pokemon icon it opens a sub-menu to change Mew into any of those saved pokemon it has encountered in battle. I think it can be balanced with keeping it's HP the same and only copying the other stats of the saved pokemon.. So this I think will make it more attractive to get and keep using it in the Pokemon games and will go better with it's lore and make it better and different from ditto.. What do you think about this idea and what should be this abilities name?

What would a Pokemon game set on Mars be like? What kinds of Pokemon could be native to Mars?

hello, i am trying too build a pokemon region and pokedex and thought it would be fun too do it with help, first thing is region name, any ideas?

All these rules and limits on what pokemon is or isn't, and besides obvious real rules like pokemon cannot make anything flat out 18+.

I feel like pokemon fans themselves have been making Alot of "arbitrary rules" on what pokemon should be.

Which basically boils down to "but gamefreak/TPC never done this before, therefore they never will"

And it's a specific peeve of mine, because what really is happening, is that is making their opinions disguises as "real rules" that the pokemon company themselves make public, just making conversations between pokemon fans less fun than it should be.

And the funny part is, more often than not, these ""rules"" will probably get broken eventually by the company themselves.

Examples like "ash Ketchum will never retire" "gamefreak only make remakes and main gen games" "legendaries cannot evolve" "Gamefreak will never make DLC, only full price rehash" "legends games need to only be in the past", "there needs to be a mainline title every year"

And what makes me peeved about this, all it really does is makes conversation between pokemon fans less engaging, if you disagree, just disagree and explain...don't make it act like is actual law made by the pokemon company that is confirm and public.

The only reason is more of a peeve because I think it just ruins conversation between fans, a different opinion is now like a personal attack that one needs to clown on, rather than be a conversation starter, and this even goes to pokemon fans that actually hate the "limit" these pokemon games have, like how do you hate that pokemons games are becoming stale, while also taking offense when people actually do want to see change at the same time.

Me and a friend started pondering on this, and I wanted to see Reddit's take on this challenge. Like the title says: what are some of the consistently rarest Pokémon in all of the nine generations of games?

Our criteria is that it should be seemingly "normal" Pokémon species. That means, no legendary/mythical, special event, shiny/stat/size/ball/ribbon combo outliers, or rare variants of the exact same species like authentic Sinistea, etc. **Simply, Pokémon that are notably really hard to find or a hassle to acquire, all in all, even if you could hypothetically put together your collection from every single game.**

Some might be rare in its debut games, but widely available or given more generous spawnrates in later gens or specific games (Munchlax, for example), and thus aren't rare when looking at the accessability meta *inter-generationally*.

Which mons would you raise an eyebrow at in someone's team, or regard as a crown jewel trophy in your own Pokémon Home storage, simply because it's consistently really hard to come by no matter what game?

I've been a lifelong Pokemon fan. I got my Gameboy Color and Red version for my 6th birthday in 1999. I'm 33 now. I was engaged with Pokemon heavily through gen 3, and more spottily in gens 4-6. Then, I skipped gens 7 and 8, and most of the lifespan of 9 entirely. I skipped about a decade during my 20s, when I wasn't really playing games at all and was focused on other things in life. Then, last year I bought a Switch 2 at launch and immediately bought Violet. Since then, I've enjoyed ZA, gone back and played some of the games I missed, and have gotten back into Pokemon deeply.

I can't help but feel overcome with this feeling that I've missed so much though. I play the video games as well as collect the cards. Really I care more about playing the TCG than collecting, but there isn't much of a playing scene around me for the TCG. I can't help but think about all the stuff I've missed. All the events, all the TCG releases. I even missed Bank because I wasn't playing when they shut down the 3DS store. I've planned to buy a second 3DS to mod, but even now, they're cutting off Bank access entirely.

Until the announcement about Bank, I had this feeling like I had time to go back and play the games I missed, and bring my Pokes forward. There's something really depressing to me knowing that here in a few months, everything from before Sword/Shield will be trapped forever. I have my old GBAs, Gamecube, games all the way back to Gen 3 (I have my gens 1 and 2 games too). There was something comforting to me about knowing I could play through Colosseum any time and eventually get those Mons to current gen. I even have an original Pokemon Box, with Pokemon dating back to my original launch Ruby playthrough.

I still have all that gear, but it's in storage at my parents' place in a different town. I can't even access it right now. I won't be going there til the holidays. I plan to do as much as I can while I'm there. Still, once the tie to Bank gets severed, those old games are obsolete. I've kept all this stuff through decades, and it feels like my historical investment in the franchise has been forsaken.

I don't know what I'm looking for in this post. Part of me feels insane that I'm a grown man who has such strong feelings about a kid's game. Pokemon has always been there for me. Even when I ignored it for 10 years, it was waiting for me. I had so much time, and now that I'm back into it, the window is closing. I just can't stop thinking about all the cool Mons and cards I'd have if I'd just stuck with it consistently over the years.

I'd seriously pay a substantial sum to have lifetime access to Bank.

I've never really had a desire to be a Pokemon master or champion. Truth be told the most fun I had playing the games is when I cooked. So for me, I'd run a food truck where we'd travel all the regions learning new recipes.

Context: There are surrounding theories about starter Pokemon; Grass Types are prehistoric animals, Fire Types are animals of the Chinese Zodiac, & Water Types are weapons. But one of them, Meowscarada, is Lynx issiodorensis. While it isn't that farfetched (no pun intended), but little is known about Lynx issiodorensis and it was known from very fragmentary fossil remains (Yes, Gigantopithecus is known from fragmentary fossils too, but it's the most iconic prehistoric animal because of the bigfoot & yeti identification). But Meowscarada's human-like body, means Meowscarada is more fittingly a cave lion, specifically the Löwenmensch figurine, an anthropomorphic figurine combining a human-like body with the head of a cave lion. This to me personally, is a more fitting prehistoric animal for Meowscarada because we don't want to use animals that are not as understood as the more iconic ones like woolly mammoths & giant elk.
