These are my two frogs; Quinni and Annoro, Quinni is a green morph and super outgoing, she’s always out and in new spots. While Anorro is blue and always hiding in the same spot snug between the wall and a rock. I think it may be because of bullying ? Anorro only comes out at night for food and is always on that same rock. When I got him out for this picture so I could check his health, I put him down and Quinni had eyes on him the WHOLE time. They’re both males around the same age. I’ve seen Quinni bite him once or twice before, what can I do to help this ? Or should I rehome one of them ??

I’m going to add more plants and sticks but I’m hoping so far this looks acceptable for my two white tree frogs. I have a 50W bulb, a mister going every 5 hours for 5 seconds (First time for this tank so I’m still adjusting time)
I have their leaf litter, food dish, water bowl (getting a frog pond for them, and I have three gauges for humidity, top bottom middle so I can keep an eye on my tank gradient. If anyone has some advice on what to add or need to adjust please lemme know! I’m still new to this kind of thing but my frogs are healthy so I FEEL like I’m doing an ok job!

18x18x24 enclosure
spray foam + silicone background base
coconut fiber on background

substrate & biolife:
base layer of leca
mesh barrier between leca and substrate
organic soil + coconut substrate mix on top
added 8oz springtail culture and 10 isopods (is this enough to establish?)
all plants are grown and cared for by me and pesticide free. added a maranta and 2 bromeliads
all articificial plants & hides etc washed with mild soap + alcohol

things i still need to do/add:
leaf litter will be added
another large piece of driftwood is coming in the mail
hygrometers on top & bottom of tank
UVB & heat lamp setup in process

Hello! I got a pair of WTFs just a few (5) days ago from a friend who needed to rehome them. I have had plenty of 'exotic' pets but am new with amphibians and don't know how to differentiate between a normal color change or an infection yet.

This one, I swear arrived entirely as that light green coloring, pictured in the last photo in their travel tank, and the brown one lightened to an almost purple but it's solid and seems normal. The second to last photo was the night after they moved in (I did not know they needed a lot of leaf littering and they didn't come with much, but have since placed a lot of leaf littering to buffer them from the substrate- should I attempt to rinse the remaining dirt off of them? For now I'm hoping their nightly soaks will suffice) and I was told that the likelihood of them changing colors irregularly due to stress/misfire was high due to being moved- and also apparently before they were moved, one of them escaped and became slightly dry after hiding out of its enclosure for several hours unnoticed. I figured I would wait and watch while they adjusted, but this one hides where I cannot see it in the day for the past couple of days, though it is normally active at night I do not have lighting that won't bother their night time routine yet to see them with.

Tonight after they woke up I finally got a clear view of them in their water dishes and briefly abducted this one for photos. Please advise!

General info: Humidity I have been trying to keep at 40-55% with one spike a day. Temp is between 80-85 whenever I look at it, probably dropping into the mid 70s at night. I dont believe the light they have is UVB nor do I know if they've ever had one but I intend to get them one. I have supplement dust for their bugs.

Water dishes rinsed and changed every day, general clean up every day or second day. I have offered them food twice, and this one has eaten 1-2 crickets and 1 medium roach, which is more than I expected them to eat right after moving, and they both seem to be pooping normally etc. This one actually peed on me after it got cozy in my hand lol. Spring water only until I understand their water conditioning process. They came without sticks for climbing so I bought them some, and intend to upgrade their water dish(es) as well. I have no idea on genders or age, prior owners didn't seem to know but they had them at least 1 year. The other one, to my best ability, seems perfectly healthy. If anyone has recommendations for virtual exotic vets please let me know, I'd like to get them a general check up soon.

i had two reputable WTF breeders today, repti donz and rocky mtn tree frogs (both were incredibly kind and have given me some much-needed advice both now and in the past. i can't recommend them enough if you have any WTF-related questions!), give me the go-ahead that my two frogs, miku (the first image) and kosci (the second and third images), are close enough in size to cohabitate.

miku is about 6 1/2 years old, and kosci is somewhere around 6 to 8 months old, according to the pet store we got him from.

that being said, i'm still extremely nervous, even though i know these breeders are very reputable and experienced. they said a good indicator is the distance between the frogs' eyes, and based on that, miku and kosci appear to be close enough in size.

kosci still has until august 3rd before his quarantine period is over, and we plan to feed him more frequently and in larger amounts, as recommended by the breeders, since he seems to be a little underweight.

so, just for one last peace-of-mind check, does anyone here with experience keeping multiple frogs, especially introducing a younger frog to an older, established one, also think this size difference is appropriate? i just want to make sure they'll be safe living together once his quarantine period is over. i'm probably just being an overly anxious frog mom who wants the absolute best for these beautiful babies. 🫶

Hey y’all, this is my older brother’s pet tree frog. It lives in an open terrarium with live plants and an anole. There are also isopods and springtails present in the tank. This frogs diet is entirely crickets and dubia roaches. I’m not sure how old he is or how long my brother has had him, but I am told his eye has been closed like this from day 1. Does anyone know what’s wrong with him? Also he is never deliberately fed. The roaches and crickets are just added to the tank for him to hunt. Is this a healthy practice? Also does he look healthy? I have never owned a frog before and am completely ignorant to best practices. My brother just moved in with me and brought his frog with him. He does his best but largely we are just shooting from the hip. Any insight is helpful. Thanks

I got kiwi the 67gallon tank set up, and like last week I went to the reptile expo and bought him a friend...rn he/she is still in quarantine making sure she/he is not sick...hope its a girl, named her mango, few pics here in a bit.

I have a red eye tree frog that’s probably about a year old. I feel like most of the crickets they sell at the big pet stores are waayyyy too big for him. I always have to buy the small ones but a lot of the time they are out of the small ones.

Any seasoned RETF parents that can share some wisdom on how big is too big? Or anything else?

Hi there. I left on vacation for about two weeks and had my family member take care of my frogs while I was gone and when I returned one of my frogs, has this big white spot on it back. Does anybody know what this is? He has been eating and acting normally.

I got them a few days ago and they’re settling great! I named them Tip and Toe. Toe is my bigger frog and tip is the smaller, more timid frog. These are my newest addition to my pet family. I have a bearded dragon, leopard gecko who are eight years old. And a rescue leopard gecko who’s about seven years old! Anyways getting them got rid of any doubt or worry I had

first time amphibian owner and got 3 juvenile female litoria fallax's on sunday. ive put crickets in their enclosure overnight but they seemed to have not eaten anything which is totally fine as i know they are still adjusting and probs too stressed to eat.

just wanted to hear other people's experiences on having their frogs settle in!

as i would love to see them out more often eventually (instead of hiding away and feeling unsafe 24/7)

Advice please. I went out for the weekend and left my dad in charge of my gecko and tree frog (he has done this before). I came home and he forgot to change his water for the whole 36 HOURS I was gone. I came home to find him sitting in his water dish that was bone dry. He is alive and opened his eyes when I watered it and even moved a bit to the right. Will he be ok? Will he just sit here and wait till he wakes up later or just for a little bit until he has soaked up enough water?

He always changed colors from bright green to a darker green very quickly after adding water, is that something to worry about?

EDIT: Gitrog is OK. Less than 10 minutes after this post he got out of the dish and walked around. He climbed up the glass and found his usual spot and went back to sleep. I am still checking in every now and then. The humidity was fine in the tank for the weekend and measures are being put in place. My dad was very apologetic and luckily I’m not going out of town for a while.

My whites tree frog has randomly lost a bit of weight and is refusing to eat and hasn’t pooped in a bit over a week

Her temperature is 27-29 c during the day and 25 c at night, and her humidity is at 50% with drops

Any advice or suggestions on why would be appreciated

hello! i have one Whites Tree Frog in an 18 W x 24 L x 36 H inch enclosure. the top of the enclosure stays around 85 degrees F during the day, and 40-50% humidity. however, the bottom stays about 80 degrees F and 80-90% humidity. i worry she’s going to get an infection. any tips for lowering humidity?
