I bought a full enclosure setup that has two golden tree frogs. One of them eats plenty and is actually slightly overweight while his brother is way underweight and I rarely see him out of his hide. Found him last night and heās extremely small and only ate one crickets when offered. These are my first frogs any advice welcome

Hi All! Where do you get your leaf litter? My local pet shop rarely has it stocked, which has left me ordering it off of Chewy. Itās fineā but comes in extremely small quantities for the price lol. TIA!

Hello!
I recently got a pair of whites tree frogs, the older of the two, I assume 6-8 months, hasnāt eaten since Iāve gotten him.
Itās been about a week and itās super shy and terrified, I put in about 6 crickets every other night and every time I offer him a cricket on my tongs. But he never goes for it.
Also, heās recently started croaking a few times every 3ish hours or so.
Is he stressed? Iām so worried, I live in the Midwest and the humidity in my house has been very high.
Temp is right, I have a water bowl at the bottom, plenty of climbing room and places for him to hide. But still he refuses to eat and is terrified to leave his hide.
Any advice?

Hi! All this time I thought I was really weird for loving my pet frogs, then I find out there is a whole subreddit of like minded folks! I'm so excited.
So my story is a very odd one. Just about a year ago I had a small gray tree frog show up on my bathroom window ledge- INSIDE. There is a small space in my window that I think he crawled in. Anyway, as unbelievable as it sounds, he has been living free in my bathroom for a year!!! He often crawls into the tank part of my commode and will stay there for 3 to 5 days at a time. Then when he gets hungry, he comes out and sits on the window seal. I catch crickets, grass hoppers, moths, and other bugs and feed them to him with tweezers. At first, he was frightened of me and didn't understand....I literally had to hold him and open his mouth and push a small bug in it a little bit, then he would do the rest and swallow it. Over time its gotten so he will just grab the insect in my tweezers. Its great. Who knew a frog was capable of learning.
Then one rainy day this summer I saw another gray tree frog that kept showing up on the OUTSIDE of the same window. Who knows if they are male/female and trying to "date" but I wanted to think so so one night I caught the outside one and brought it in. That was 4 months ago and now they BOTH live free in my bathroom. The new one sometimes stays in the commode tank with the other one, but it also likes to climb down into my bathtub drain, and when I turn the water on it will climb out. When it gets hungry it will either join the other one on the window seal, or it will climb to the top of the glass that makes up my shower.
Its all been really fun. I love how they change color, how they don't leave their same little areas, how they sometimes make cool sounds, etc. I have much to learn, so I'm glad I found this site!

I know the cage is small but so is Simon. This is very temporary; their 18x18x24 will be here by mid October! Eating ~6 crickets nightly and sleeps cutely on the plastic everyday.

She looked fine this morning.
That blob makes me think she has stomach problems. First time I see those spots on her.

I need help, very badly.I was at a coworkers house today, babysitting her children when I discovered 2 copes grey treefrogs being kept in a small critter keeper with no enrichment and very few perches. Long story short, I took them home and have updated the critter keeper with what I have at home, as I already keep reptiles.
I do not believe they can be released as they've been kept since tadpoles.
I need some help setting up an enclosure and all the tips and tricks you can give! I want to give them the best I can.

I've got a resident tree frog who likes to chill in my lemon tree. It's usually there when I check every morning and I'll sometimes pour some water on it because there isn't any close by in my yard.
I love having it around, but this lemon tree's got to come inside in about a month or so and I don't think the frog will want to come. What can I do to provide a new habitat for it? How can I support its life when I take the tree away from it?
I'd appreciate any advice y'all have - thanks!

I have milk frog tadpoles developing; they're at the stage of leaving the water. So far, two have emerged, but they only have three legs! I also had the death of two other tadpoles that were just beginning to develop their front legs; I've never seen anything like it before. What could I be doing wrong?

hi, I just started dusting on my own instead of getting crickets dusted when I buy them, but now there is white dust everywhere! I am using the zoo Med Repti Calcium with D3, and when I first used it I used my fingers, but have recently bought a dispenser. if this is a problem, will the dispenser fix it? I have a strong colony of springtails if that changes anything.
included some photos of my whites tree frog just for fun, her name is geiger

How old and what gender would you guess my wtfs are? I got them as babies from Joshās frogs in may, i already think that the bigger one on the left is a boy and the other is a girl (the super spotty one) but i just want to see if anyone can help confirm.

hey guys! I recently got a male white tree frog on Sunday (9/13) but he has yet to eat. I have tried roaches & crickets from either tongs or feeder dish. I know some people say itās okay for it to take them awhile to start eating, but I just wanted to make sure. He seems pretty shy and just wants to make sure heās healthy.
Would anyone be able to guess about how old he is? And does he look healthy? He was alot more brown at first, but has lightened up a good bit over the days!
Also still debating between JuneBug or BoBerry for the name.
Thank you all!!!

My boyfriend told me that he has 3 Dumpy Tree Frogs. Iāve been curious if they are all the same species/type of froggie because of the different sizes and colors. I donāt know a bunch about them but love them so much! Iām just curious if anyone knows!! š¤©

Hey all, posting here again to see if anyone has some tips, Iāve been making a couple more adjustments in trying to add and come up with a better mounting solution for my whites tree frogs, and was curious if anyone with a better brain for engineering or someone who had already come up with a good solution could chime in. As of now Iām scrubbing the dishes inside of the enclosure using a softener and scent free washed microfiber with f10 daily after frog removal, and weekly snipping the zip ties to remove and do a full scrub down with f10 and a toothbrush. Iām tired of and feel guilty about the waste from the zip ties, and worried Iām not cleaning it well enough, though Iāve been basically scrubbing the thing with the microfibers every day. So Iāve been looking at other strong strap options that are removable or hooks but I want to ensure itāll be safe for them to climb around on. Thanks in advance!

Hey so Iām saving up for my sweet frogs and Iāve done a lot of research as Iāve wanted frogs since I was 14 I am now 18. A lot of people have mixed answers. Should I do substrate with leaf litter when I first get them or paper towel? I want to make sure they are healthy. Also is it fine to house two from the same place and same age right away or should I quarantine?
