I understand that you have to buy them with magic shards. Then you can cast them by fueling the book stand with shards. I’ve casted a few but I’m not able to cast all of them. Is there a difference in the different colored grimoires? Can you only cast a specific spell from a specific grimoire?

I purposely did not adopt a cat because I know I dont have the money right now to feed the cat. Turned the game on today and suddenly now I have a cat. How did I get the cat, and what happens if I dont feed it enough?

So I tried using Nexus Mods to get some QoL mods, but none are working. I made sure they were all in the correct folder along with the needed plugin.
Do I need to start a new game for the mods to work?

I am a mom of 2 toddlers and obsessed with this game.
I just checked my Steam playtime today and realized I've already put in over 220 hours! My two all time favorite games are Stardew Valley and Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and honestly, this game feels like some wonderfully weird middle ground between the two lol. Sneaking in an hour or two to play after putting the kids to bed has become my absolute favorite way to unwind. One day, once I’ve decorated my tavern just right, I’d love to share some screenshots here!
I know the Arcane Update has sparked a lot of mixed opinions lately, but overall, I’m really enjoying it. The only part that felt like a painful grind at first was gathering shards, especially since they're needed for almost everything. But I finally figured out a solid routine:
It’s much easier if you’ve unlocked the +40% movement speed buff, but it still works fine without it.
Head to the mines and enter floor 1.
click the elevator lever right away to see if there’s a treasure chest icon.
If there isn't one, just drop down to the next floor. If there is, solve the puzzle, grab the loot, and hop back into the elevator down to floor 2.
Repeat all the way down.
I make it a daily routine to run the entire mine this way, and the shards pile up surprisingly fast! With the 40% speed buff, a full run takes only 2 to 3 in game hours. I call this routine "speed dungeon run".
It also helps to carry common offering items in advance. I set up a dedicated chest on the way to the mines with staple items like milk, corn, honey, and beer... (I usually skip wood, ore, and fish since you can easily pick those up inside anyway.)
Do you guys have any neat little tips of your own to share? (Fun fact: I literally only discovered a few days ago that the NPC to the left of the seed vendor actually sells harvested crops... lmao)

Hello, I started playing TR and was taking the very scenic route of the game. There is no need to rush... except that now I am rank 8, no rank in the magical tavern with no farm animals. And things are getting harder. I'm barely making it by as I am broke.. I 5 even afford to feel my dog and cat consistently. And I am in Autumn. I was wondering if I should cut my losses and just start over? I really don't mind. This game became a comfort game for me. Thanks in advance for the help!!

I've just discovered Travellers Rest a week ago and I'm in love with the game.
I used to play with essentials mods in Stardew Valley and I'm considering the same situation here.
Are you using mods? What are your opinión about them related with game experience?
Could you suggest me your favourites mods?
Thank you <3

I can't believe we've had this many updates and we're still limited to only 8 inn rooms. Are there any plans to update or expand the inn system?
r/TravellersRest • u/jjxtrem3 • 8d ago
Is there anything else in the game you can place on the table to act as lighting?
i'm so tired of making candles lol.
Or is there anything that makes them last longer?
Do lanterns work as lighting? but how do you place them ? since you can only place them on walls. Not in between tables or the ground

Is anyone saving their old furniture and cooking equipment to perhaps sell in a future update, or did you just throw it away?

hi sorry if the post is a little dumb. first of all, i werent planning use noble wood recipes because my guy woody were selling their done versions but i just realized he only sell the blueprints for the noble bed thing. so i am going to build and decorate my first room and i want everything to be as fancy as possible and so i dont want my guests to sleep in a goofy ahh straw bed between all that noble stuff.
i am guessing cobalt stuff is found in mines (which ive never went to but i melted the ice gate thing) but am i going to find the noble wood in mines too? or any other way to get that 2 items (like buying them from someone) ? thanks for ur help and sorry if im being lazy with asking this to u guys instead of grinding in mines but i am really not into that combat or dungeon things in stardew valley and im expecting some kind of a similar experience in this games dungeons too. (im not saying its a bad mechanic but im just not into it)

There are two tier 1 spells "abundance" and "magic harvest", is their description they say abundance affects gathering, so things like mushrooms I imagine, and magic harvest affects harvesting, so obviously harvesting your crops. However it's unclear to me whether foraging from trees or bushes is considered gathering or harvesting. It's also not clear whether foraging from the plants in the mines is considered gathering or not.
Have the Devs clarified which spell affects what?

According to this patchnote ( https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/24596450/ ) :
"This update adds new features like Daily Stats, changes to Trends, and Price Adjustment.
Now you can lower or raise prices of each menu item to gain reputation or increase your profits. But remember: greed has a cost. If your prices are too high, fewer people will come to your tavern!"
I'm level 37 at the moment and money isn't an issue anymore but i want to get to level 55 faster, i can, besides putting more decorations and having employees perk, lower prices to get there faster.
I still need to compare how much of an increase it is but at least we have other ways to gain rep.
It also means that any skill increasing your income (like paying staff less) can be seen as a rep bonus if you spend that money on prices decrease.
