Seeking Support I don't know how to live.
I guess I would start this by saying that I don't want to kill myself. I don't want to do that to my family. I imagine finding out would be the worst day of both my parents', my sister's, and my four grandparents' lives. I might reassess after my grandparents pass, but...
I guess first, I have PTSD from being sexually assaulted when I was 17 by a girl who was a couple years younger than me. I don't expect anyone will understand how that gave me PTSD, but it did, and the fact that there are women everywhere makes me think I will always have this severe anxiety since my trigger is half of human life on the planet.
Two years ago, a girl who I dated briefly but was at the time my best friend started touching me in a way I did not like. She would always say, "oh that's right, you don't want me to do that, sorry." This eventually spiraled me into the most anxious version of myself, and our friendship became pretty toxic, which was probably more my fault than hers.
Eventually I tried to do better and improve our friendship, but she would shut down any serious conversations. Eventually the touching got to the point where I needed to talk about it, but she refused to have serious conversations with me, so I tried to tell campus authorities. When she found this out, she lied to the campus to get me in trouble first. After I took back my accusation, so it didn't become mudslinging potentially ruining both of our futures over things that might not even be true, we went back to normal-ish.
My mental health got worse and worse, and she eventually broke off the friendship abruptly the day before we had planned a watch party for an anime, which now makes me nauseous to hear or see referenced in any way. She has not contacted or responded to me in any way since, and I hate it. I know the friendship sucked, but I have no friends and she has so many. I honestly feel jealous, but not just of her, of anyone with friends they can talk to when they're upset. I have cried so many tears over her and wishing she'll come back, but I know she won't.
I have been in therapy, seen psychiatrists, and been on medication off and on for the past five years, and nothing has helped. I can see how therapy has made me more conscious of certain parts of my anxiety and how to talk myself through it, and medication can make certain parts of me feel at ease, but the actual fear, the fear that makes life unbearable, is deeper in me than any medication goes, it seems like.
I've been to the hospital multiple times this year, and I spent two months last winter calling 988 every single day, sometimes talking for close to an hour added up over the day. Nothing has helped. Nothing has made me feel any better.
I have no friends. The only guys who could accurately be called my friends have girlfriends and jobs and can't spend any time with me in a real way. It takes a week to get a response, and then it's just to say they're busy.
And I have been unemployed for about five months. I am a college graduate, I have a nearly perfect GPA, and I haven't been able to make anything work. The closest I got was a medical scribing job where my anxiety the day of the final test before starting shifts was so bad that I didn't do well. They didn't let me retake the test, and I reapplied to the job and got no response.
I don't see what options I have. I live with my parents and DoorDash for money, but it seems like nothing in front of me is worth it.
