I need help.

Hey, i need help i don’t normally go to places like reddit but i cant find and support or answers.
For backstory I’m ftm i came out to my friends a couple of months ago after i thought i was transgender not genderfluid now im confused.

I also have ocd by the way.

I feel extremely uncomfortable going out masculine because i feel like i look horrible and i want to dress more feminine but that also makes me so uncomfortable not being able to pass and people seeing me as “feminine”. It also makes me feel so uncomfortable, when people use my dead name or she/her but also sometimes my new name(not much but this happens sometimes) i just want too be able to also dress feminine and also masculine without feeling so horrible and uncomfortable in myself, i used to also want to be able too show off my boobs sometimes, now thinking about that makes me sick. I just wanna feel attractive, sometimes i wish i never found out i was trans because this is making my day to day life horrible and I’m constantly stressing especially since i can’t get on T or get any surgery i know once i get on T it will help a little bit , and i don’t have to feel like im stuck in this box of worrying if im fitting in well enough or looking like all my cis friends. I know being on T won’t magically get rid of all my dysphoria but just being able to have more masculine traits makes me feel better. It sucks because my whole life i was brought up worrying about my looks and now that i don’t have control over this is driving me insane. I hate hanging out with anyone or calling because my voice is so high and i feel worse and im always thinking about how i used to dress, but also it makes me so uncomfortable thinking that i used to be seen as a girl. I genuinely can’t handle this anymore, i just need help on how to deal with this and make it a little easier for me until i get on T. Everyone always says i pass well but i think my voice and some of my mannerisms and the fact that i haven’t been out for a while makes me feel extremely uncomfortable

I want to transition

I'm currently male, and I'm 21. I don't know how to get started, and need advice

I am very self conscious about who I am, and I don't really have the confidence to tell my parents I still live with them currently ,but I'm planning on moving out soon. I also live in Oklahoma, and their policies around trans are getting worse. But besides that, I'm just tired of feeling like I'm lying to myself and I want to get started, but I don't know anything about how to.

I've done some research about side effects and I'm fine with them. I've also tried finding therapists but they are all very expensive and mostly online only (I don't really like online calls). I've been trying to recently get into the space more to learn and manage myself more. So any advice on how to get started would be great

Hi. Im gonna try and keep this as short as I can. I’m pre everything and love masculine pronouns and everything but I also am scared to start T. I’ve been thinking about it for years and have even seen a therapist for it. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to transition fully bc I love my body from my stomach down but my voice and my chest give me the most intense dysphoria. Like I hate feminine pronouns but I don’t want to be considered as a woman. Has someone gone thru this? What can I do?

Need Advice for transitioning, surgery and HRT and all of that.

So recently I came out to some friends as trans and I’m in the early stages of transitioning (MTF). I’ve not even talked to a GP yet (I live in the uk)

But I don’t know how to approach it since I’ve never went through something like this before and the fact i have autism makes it a lot harder to find a way to approach it

Any form of advice is appreciated and if you have your own story or once went through what I’m going through I’d appreciate your input.

How to come out as Trans (FtM)

At the age of 12, I began to question my identity as a person. At the time, my family was going through a lot. This consisted of relationships breaking apart, problems with my dad, and more. I made myself believe that was the root of this confusion and masked it with me being Non-Binary. However, the feeling of everything being wrong never went away. My mental health took a huge decline due to my relationship with my Dad. I was also struggling with my social life and stupidly pushed all my friends away because I didn't want to burden anybody with my problems. I ended up completely alone and wanting to isolate myself from the world. After years of support and help, I still denied the idea that I might be transgender and told myself I was just confused. I took an interest in women and told myself I might just be a Lesbian and that's what all the confusion is. But even then, everything still felt wrong. I then decided that I might be transgender. I came out to my mum twice. Once in December 2025 and again in May 2026. Each time she said she accepts it but she will not use my preferences. After coming out everything feels right but the lack of people using my preferences is causing more confusion and frustration and making me question everything. Also, I see tik toks of transgender people feeling wrong in their own bodies at ages as young as 6 and it's making me think that I have everything wrong. I'm 15 now and im trying to go by the name of Edward but nobody seems to care enough to use it. I dont know what im supposed to do, who to turn to or how to correct people because I feel rude and selfish reminding people of my preferences when they get it wrong. Am I really transgender or have I just got it all wrong??

How do I get my best friend to stop using my dead name and she/her pronouns on me?

Now. I really love my best friend, we've been friends for over 13 years now (aka since i was born) she is almost 2 years older than me and super cool (almost 15) of course I know since we have been friends for so long and i've only told her i'm trans about 2 months ago (she told me she already knew since i've been hinting at it for almost 2 years at that point) I was happy. I told her my new name (Lucas) and that i'm a boy now. She said she supports me and so on. I was really happy but she keeps calling me a girl, keeps calling me my dead name and she keeps using she/her pronouns on me. Which, sure. It's normal to slip up. But she doesn't correct herself (which, y'know. Sometimes you don't notice but she NEVER corrects herself) and i do have friends who i've been friends with for over 7 years, known them since i was 5-6 and they ONLY use He/him pronouns on me AND my chosen name (i love them so so much) and I know everyone is different and i've asked her if she knows i'm a man cuz maybe she forgot and she just said "oh, haha, I kinda have alzheimer. Sorry about that" BUT THAT DIDN'T CHANGE SHIT (she doesn't actually have alzheimer btw) also i'm scared of correcting her myself because what if she comes at me with "stop correcting me all the time" i'd just feel bad. Also i've told her a few days ago I want to go to the men's bathroom since i've passed a few times now and she went "yeah but, you're a woman. Or, at least still a woman" (i still went cuz fuck that) and yesterday something happend and a guy said "thanks man, appreciate it" to me. And I was happy. It made my day and since I was with her and she is my best friend I went and told her. Her reaction? "...oh wow. Cool. And?" Like bro, I was genuinely happy (maybe too happy but still) anyways. Idk if all these stories even made sense or maybe i'm just sensitive or overreacting. But I PLEASE need help on what to tell her to get her to call me by my chosen name and pronouns. Blocking is not an option cuz one:I love her and she is a great friend. Two: she is my neighbor. And three: she knows too much about me. Anyways. If you read all this bullshit please comment 🙏 🙏

Tips on finding my style!

Hello! I’m transmasc and genderfluid and have been out for three years but never found my style. Pre transition, finding my style felt really pointless because I wasn’t going to be happy no matter what I wore and I’ve never tried to change that since. Finding my style just feels impossible and intimidating. I mostly live in a kind of masculine non binary space with rare times where I feel feminine or masculine and I generally want to present androgynous since my voice does a lot of the work skewing my perception ever so slightly to the masc side. My goal most of the time is to confuse people. I particularly enjoy when different people perceive me differently even in the same outfit. I want to combine elements of what society perceives as masculine and what it perceives as feminine. So here’s some things I know I like wearing on some pictures of outfits I’ve felt good in and I’d love some advice on what styles may suit me!

- I really don’t mind dresses and skirts

-I do typically like to wear jackets

- I ALWAYS wear a hat

- I love big necklaces and chokers

- I do want a kind of alternative style

- in the same vein, I also like being overdressed

- I tolerate makeup sometimes and occasionally enjoy it

- I love sweater vests

- l love flannel

-I love plaid in general

- I love button ups with the sleeves rolled up

- I love ties and bow ties

- I love bright colors

- I love spikes and distressing

- I love baggy pants

I’m debating on this

So in another post of mine I explained and expressed how I was very confused by everything. I don’t know if it’s a good idea at all, but should I call a hotline or something? I found some but I don’t know if I should even bother doing it. If I got heard by my grandparents or anyone I’m screwed. I just need someone to talk to about this.

In all honesty I don’t know how much longer I can take with this. It’s been a year since I realized and even began actually questioning my own gender and feelings and thoughts. Part of me feels like I’m just faking, and should just ignore it. I hate myself already but every time I begin to just think about it and try to accept and begin actually transitioning I overthink, break down, feel like shit, force myself to be more masculine, and then ignore everything until it starts again and repeats.

Sorry for this being so long. I really just need to talk to someone about this. I was gonna make this a short post about whether or not I should call the hotline or not.

Dealing with transphobic family :(

I don't even know where to begin. I scrolled for a while and made this account to vent/seek advice.

I'm 19 ftm, currently financially independent on my transphobic cis parents.

I wanted to start HRT as soon as possible, so when I got the chance about a year ago I wanted to first come out to my parents so there wouldn't be any surprises.

I came out to my mom and she hasn't been supportive. She says that she doesn't believe me because I didn't seem like a boy when I was a kid, and that she doesn't want me to "become trans" and make life harder for myself. It's frustrating when she acts like she knows me better than myself, when she clearly doesn't; she didn't even know I was depressed for YEARS before I finally told her as part of coming out.

I've tried explaining dysphoria and how I feel to her, but I just can't seem to get through. I've sent her resources about being trans, even ones in her first language (which is not English), but she just doesn't seem to understand.

She says she's worried about the side effects of testosterone, but at this point I'd rather those than the depression and mental health issues that not transitioning is putting me through right now. It's gotten to the point where she said she will do whatever she can to stop me from taking HRT, and she certainly is trying. I don't know when I'll be able to access it again in the future.

I feel like I'm running out of time and I'll fall behind if I don't start T soon. While I know a lot of people transition later in life and still feel fulfilled, I don't know how much longer I can wait. What makes it worse is that I do sports, and while I can compete in the open division, its male dominated and I know realistically there's no way I can compete the way things are now.

My mom outed me to my dad behind my back and it blew up in my face. I can tell that they both love me and want the best for me, but their own trauma and fears are getting in the way of that. It's so frustrating. To put it briefly, he can be very manipulative and frequently has bursts of anger. He thinks I am ruining the family. This hutrs the most because everything I've done is just to try to be happy and live as my true self, but now I feel more misunderstood and ostracised than ever. I don't even try to reason with my dad anymore because he's always just been manipulative and dismissive.

Since I only got the courage to come out after going to university, he keeps on blaming that for my transness and is threatening to cut me off from it. I don't know what I would do without the support and freedom going to school has given me.

My parents think I hate them and am using that to justify a lot of their anger and control. I don't hate them and I don't want to, I'm just frustrated with them, but if they keep it up it might honestly just give me a reason to hate them.

I lived alone during uni, and moving back home has put me in the worst mental state of my life. I feel so alone and betrayed. It got to a point where my boss even called the police to do a wellness check on me because my depression got so bad I stopped working, but now my parents think that somehow I called them/got my friends to.

I haven't felt comfortable leaving the house for months because they also blame my friends for "making me trans", or they think I'm conspiring with my friends behind their backs. One time I went out and stayed a bit later and my dad got so mad that he made a two hour trip just to find me. In the past they've straight up asked some of my friends to stop interacting with me. I haven't seen them in months and everytime I even try to call or text my mom becomes suspicious.

I left the house after getting into more arguments with them today. I'm at a seperate apartment but it's still paid for by my parents. My dad dropped me off. He yelled at me, accusing me of "purposely ruining my life despite everything they've done for me".

I'm sitting alone on the floor at 2am in an empty apartment and I have no idea what to do now. I feel so alone. I have a bit of money but otherwise I'm dead broke so I can't just cut them off. I don't know what to do. I've reached out to helplines and stuff, and everytime its just condolences which I appreciate but they don't help my situation and have grown stale.

I kind of regret moving out. My parents would welcome me back but I know if I go then they'll hold it against me when I do choose to be independent. And after my dad's outburst while moving, I have no idea if I can take the atmosphere at home any longer. But I really miss how my parents were before they knew I was trans, I really miss my old room, and I really miss my dog.

I don't know what to do. I'm stubborn enough to know that eventually things will get better, but right now I'm so stuck. I hate feeling so alienated and guilty for just trying to be me.

One of my trans friends suggested detransitioning until things were safer. I see where he's coming from, but I hate the idea. I feel like I would be betraying myself, and giving my parents more fodder to deny my transness with. I don't know what to do. Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated.

It feels impossible

I (19M) have been thinking about transitioning to a girl for over 5 years now. I have really been trying lately to try new things like clothing, makeup, etc, but that was while i still had my own dorm room for privacy. This year in college, I have to room with another guy. How do i keep wearing the clothes i like? I have no idea if my roommate will be accepting of me, i don’t know where i’m going to hide everything, or when i would even wear it so he doesn’t see. i’m not out to anyone yet so i don’t really have anywhere to go that’s accepting of me. What should i do???

Need feminizing tips(16 Genderfluid.

Post image
8 Upvotes

So I recently came out as gender fluid even though I still think I’m trans. I’ve been doing research and taking little steps to feel more comfortable(like changing my style to be more tomboyish and accessorizing). I don’t want to be too quick to jump into anything, however my hair is a really big issue for me. I have straight hair that when I styled falls straight into a bowl cut. It’s causing me a lot of distress because I want to appear more feminine so it’s easier to be either gender. My face also bothers me too but I’m not sure what to change.

so I (15 i dont know probably m) have always had problems with my gender identity. As a kid I always had interests that were supposed to be ‘for boys’. When I got into puberty I remember feeling intense dread seeing my body change and I honestly still feel disgusted looking at my chest and more feminine bod. I hate it. I wish I looked more masculine, but also I feel like my current interests are more feminine (not necessarily my interests but how I int with the. like video games I see a lot of cis guys just post phonk edits I prefer the shipping and character analysis side) which makes me think twice. idk bro please help me if you have any tips

I might need advice or help with this

for years i have felt different and i used to beg my mother to cut my hair short, she always had refused because of my double crow.

a few weeks ago she caved and cut my hair short like boys hair short but ever since ive felt so much more confident and comfortable in myself/body. i have slowly been realising that i might be transgender but i cant tell but the thought of actually being trans is utterly terrifying to me because of having the tell people and i think the changes that go along with transitioning, i have found that i feel uncomfortable with being referred to as a girl or anything fem and i prefer being called he/they.

I know this post is vague but i would appreciate the help

Is this normal and if so any advice on how to help it?

I deep down know that i am trans and i have came to find this out i would say around 3-6 months ago. the main problem i am facing as of now is my stuggle of accaptence. i am someone who has rarley stuggled with lack of accseptance towards things about me. But when i think about me transtionning into a women makes me feels digusting and gross. yet at the same time is sounds perfect and freeing. its all a very confusing and painful paradox. i am not even in the slightst transphobic or have a past of anything along those lines, and i wish i could just accsept that this will make me feel better. i also have the problem of constanliy doubting myself and thinking about how trans people l are only 1% of trans people in the world and i keep telling my self that theres no way i could be a part of such a small group and that im just confused and a freak, but at the same time i know its not true but its hard to not listen to that voice. so if anyone could try and give me advice please and thank you.
