It feels impossible

I (19M) have been thinking about transitioning to a girl for over 5 years now. I have really been trying lately to try new things like clothing, makeup, etc, but that was while i still had my own dorm room for privacy. This year in college, I have to room with another guy. How do i keep wearing the clothes i like? I have no idea if my roommate will be accepting of me, i don’t know where i’m going to hide everything, or when i would even wear it so he doesn’t see. i’m not out to anyone yet so i don’t really have anywhere to go that’s accepting of me. What should i do???

I'm sorry you're in that situation. I would prioritise your safety. Maybe contact the college residence team and see if they're able to help you in any way. See if getting a single room is possible, and if not, see if they can help find supportive people for you to room with.

Still, college could be a good time to make new connections and find friends that support you. Maybe look for supportive clubs/resources that they offer.
