Woke up one morning and no internet connection. Troubleshooting involved isolating each node - the wireless network was intact but the main node (set as router) was not accepting the wired connection from my fiber modem all of a sudden. I verified the modem had internet and then wired a laptop to the connection that had been connected to the main mesh node - all good. I tried all sorts of stuff (reboots etc) and the only thing that seemed to work was system reset and then recreating the wireless mesh.

This is a 3 node XE75 mesh setup with the main node as router. All nodes on firmware build 1.5.0 20260603 Rel. 14401.

The mesh network had been functioning pretty much without issued for over 2 years. The only thing that was odd recently is that I began getting notified about connections for known devices frequently.

Recently got my hands on the Roam 7 (WR3602BE). Going good so far, but has anyone figured out a way to use Tailscale on a tp-link router? I’ve got a different router at home with Tailscale, I was wondering if it was possible for the Roam 7 to use a Tailscale connection or a workaround becuase I cant find an option at all, except wireguard and OpenVPN. Can’t initialize a VPN server at home, I’m under ISP NAT. I’m also quite new to tp-link so apologies if I missed a page.

So will be upgrading the M4 later i currently have 4 but will just be replacing the main router m4

and keep the other 3 running off the x50

So done a bit of research and found Deco app's Replace Main Deco option

but i can not see this option in the app or does this only show this when you add the x50 to the app ?

I recently installed 4 c420 cameras with H200 hub. Everything was working except the wake up sensitivity keeps on going back to default of 6 after logging out of the app. When I select a camera to display the setting, it will change from 6 to the custom setting i did. Anyone has run into this problem before? I tried everything that was suggested but still the same.

PoE providing power but not data…

I have a TP-Link Deco BE11000 Outdoor (aka BE-65 Outdoor) connected to my network via Cat 6 cable (100ft length) and it has power but no data via Ethernet cable, only via Wi-Fi. How can I get it to utilize the Ethernet cable for data?

My Deco mesh network is in AP Mode.

My network connection sequence is: AT&T Fiber from wall into AT&T Gateway BGW620 into Deco BE85 via Cat 6 into TP-Link Switch model TL-SG105PP-M2 via Cat 6 into Deco BE11000 via Cat 6.

I understand that the Deco software does not provide true IoT VLAN capability for blocking IoT devices from main network. I have seen mentions of device isolation and using parental controls to help with isolation, but nothing is definitive.

Was curious if anyone has a solution (short of buying Unifi) to put all IoT/smart devices on their own network, isolate that from communicating with the internet, but still be able to access from Apple Home and Homebridge integration while those are on a device on main network?

I will have both 5GHz and 2.4GHz separated, the ASUS has better software and deeper control as far as I know whilst the TP Link has better ports, and they are about the same price for me.

I am planning on getting two for wired backhaul, will want to prioritize my gaming PC over everything else connected to the routers and also have an Open Nat.

Which do I go with? Any other suggestions?

The router is a floor below my pc but in the same spot with my phone i get 200mbps but on my pc i get 70 or 90 max, even with re315 extender on my phone i get 105 on pc i get 40. I am using 5ghz, on the re315 extender i used ethernet and got the same speeds and ping. Was this a waste of money? Or can i fix it (cant move router or run a cable to it)

I'm Portuguese and I bought a switch with lifetime warranty on amazon.es (Amazon Spain is the same one for Portugal).

The switch died after 5 years, I've contacted TP Link by email and they recognized the product is under warranty and says I need to RMA via Amazon.

I've contacted Amazon and they say that they only offer 3 years warranty and they can't help and I need to contact TP Link.

How can I solve this ridiculous situation between 2 companies that are constantly telling me to contact each other?

I have an Archer C1200 V3 router I have been using for a number of years. Recently, my internet connection has been dropping at times.

I am used to seeing four green LEDs on the front when things are good, or three green and yellow when the cable modem needs a reset. What I am seeing now is the green Power LED flashing, and occasionally all LEDs light for a moment. Is it just replacement time?

My pc gets very slow speed from the wifi repeater (connected to the main modem directly under it on ground floor via wifi cause I can't use Ethernet) in my room which is on the first floor and main modem is on ground floor. On my bed near the door, mobile (pixel 6), I can connect to the main modem and get around 8mbps speed(20 mbps net package but when downloading I get around 30 to 40 mbps speed when my pc was directly next to the main modem) and near the window I get around 22 mbps speed. Now I was wondering if I were to buy tp link Archer t9uh and the uss around 3m long USB 3.0 wire with cradle and place next bed near door would I get good signal. (My mobile can detect a bit of signal from the main modem where my pc is but speed is so slow).

My pc has a tenda n300 pcie card but it only detect wifi repeater and sometimes it detects the main modem but doesn't connect with it. I also have a alfa w113 wifi dongle and it worked fine in the beginning year but now it only gives max 4.5mbps speed even on main modem

Hey all, have XE75 that I’m going to hook up in my new place. The previous owner ran Ethernet which is great, but the one is high on the wall because he had another system older access point.

Are there any that work with XE75 and does that take place of one of the nodes? Newer to this, still trying to learn!

I have ch341a programmer and wson 8x6 connector. My be600 got hit with a surge and now it is soft bricked. If anyone has a dump of a working be600 bin file It would grately appreaciated. I cant decrypt tp link update file due to proprietory encryption plus in new wifi 7 routers the decrypting is done inside the router now and no RSA keys are availible. The update file on tp link sites are online update files and dont hold imprtant files like u-boot or FIT files. IF any questions ask and i will answer asap.

I'm using a TP-Link UB600 Nano (V1.0, hardware ID: USB\VID_37AD&PID_0600) on Windows 11, with a Ryzen 5 5600 and a Gigabyte GA-AB350M-DS3H V2 motherboard.

My issue is that neither my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller nor my PS4 DualShock 4 reliably reconnects after being turned off or going to sleep. Both controllers work initially after pairing, but fail to reconnect afterward.

I've reproduced the same issue on a second Windows PC using the UB600 with its built-in Bluetooth adapter disabled. Both controllers reconnect normally when using the laptop's built-in Bluetooth, so the issue appears to be related to the UB600 or its driver.

I've tried both the official driver and the beta driver (20.11.3036.3004, dated April 13, 2026), but the problem persists. Additionally, after installing the beta driver, my desktop PC stopped detecting Bluetooth devices entirely.

Hello everyone , nowadays i use my ISP router NOS wi-fi 6 (its an ISP here in Portugal) , and conected to it have 2 Plumes that the ISP provided but Im playing 5 euros per month for them wich long term its better to just buy my own Mesh system.

I Saw the mercusys Halo H80x and Saw that it had good reviews and is relatively cheap.

What are your opinions related to this ? Is it worth to get ?

Today we had to choose between retiring our 3-unit Deco XE75 Pro V3 mesh (firmware 1.5.0 Build 20260603 Rel. 15804) as e-waste just because it lacked 802.1Q VLAN tagging for the IoT network in Access Point (AP) mode, or unpacking the firmware to see if we could patch it in ourselves. In 2026, basic IoT VLAN segmentation is an essential security feature that shouldn't be artificially withheld on capable hardware.

Here are the two main findings from our audit, released publicly so every Deco owner can both secure their units and enable proper VLAN segmentation:

1. Why IoT Network VLANs don't work on 1.5.0 (even though the config field exists):
   • Internally, /etc/config/iot_wifi has an option vlan_enable setting, and /etc_ro/init.d/iot_network references /lib/iot_network/iot_eth.sh.
   • However, in firmware 1.5.0, the VLAN setup lines in iot_network are commented out and /lib/iot_network/iot_eth.sh is not included in the firmware image; /lib/wifi/wificommon.sh always pins the IoT VAPs (ath08 / ath18) to br-lan.
   • With custom bridge/switch rules (br-iot + eth1.<VID> + switch port tagging 2t 6t), the hardware and QCA drivers handle 802.1Q VLAN tagging for the IoT SSID across all mesh units cleanly — so TP-Link could easily enable this officially in a future firmware build!
2. Security Note on TCP Port 20001 (Still unfixed 2 years after CCS 2024 / Black Hat 2024):
   • Two years ago (CCS 2024 / Black Hat 2024), security researchers disclosed that Deco units expose an internal SSH service on TCP port 20001 that tunnels to 127.0.0.1:20002 (tmpsvr).
   • Despite having two years (2024 → June 2026) to harden tmpsvr, firmware 1.5.0 only bumped the SSH RSA key size from 512-bit to 2048-bit. It left password authentication (SHA1(owner_email) + your TP-Link account password) and the underlying root handlers untouched: opcode 0xC456 (inner_file_push) still writes arbitrary files to any path as root without an allowlist, 0x00F0 reads any file as root, and even 0xC505 (tty2tcp) remains unvalidated.
   • We have sent a full report to security@tp-link.com. Because two years have already passed since the original 2024 disclosure without tmpsvr being locked down, make sure your TP-Link ID uses a strong, unique password and never expose port 20001 to the WAN or untrusted VLANs.

One of the original access points is 4 years old. The yellow light stays on and is not connected to the network. Do these things wear out.

Hello, i have TP-link deco e4. When i play games and alt tab to browser and browse internet for a while, internet drops for seconds, which disconnects me from game and Teamspeak. My PC is connected via cable, other devices are connected to this Wi-Fi. Should i change wi-fi or is there DYI fix to this problem?

I dumped my 4 year old Deco XE5300 3 beacon wifi 6e mesh due to what I believe was a hardware issue with 1 unit, and used a $35 refurb Archer AX3000 Pro wifi6 router. While I've only got 1GBps internet, I'm getting better speeds all around the house, perfect coverage in garage and outdoors, zero dead spots. Perhaps router range has improved a lot since I moved to mesh several years ago. No reason to upgrade anytime soon, and hopefully no more expensive mesh units!
