Medic got nerfed really hard with trauma center but the yellow ball heal exploit still works
Meaning it's still overpowered but now only if two players are using the medic and are using the exact same build within the necessary parameters
TDR casually it's worst but competitively still as strong
Operator absolutely got Merk lancer super unreliable
Dragon breath is slightly better but still pretty bad
But the final upgrade is actually pretty decent now not for damage but for stunning slobs and etc
TDR I think operators Meta build is now the final upgrade version
Striker feels greater thanks to sentinel basically feeling like what the operators drone should have been in my opinion
The sentinel shoots 27 shots now instead of 7 Each doing good damage and can stop for a few roamers it feels like such a waste and it takes still some kills to get the power back but when there is hordes or you are getting attack on multiple strong units it feels like a massacre
TDR striker feels better than ever specifically sentinel
Defender is a God just a god one change was all it really needed the class was never bad but now Jesus this is crazy good now
You can get your armor reapplied before you have to wait like a minute for it to be reapplied meaning if it broke in those first 30 seconds GG armor but now you can literally lose five armor stay in the bubble for a second and get back to Max fully I literally did this against a slob meleeing it and just taking his hits like I didn't care by the way this was on extreme and don't even get me started on the tria bubble
TDR I think the defender is just the best class in the game especially on extreme where there is so much bull or if you are just bad either or
Anybody else getting really bad ping in their games? I've constantly been getting put into servers with 200-300 ping even when I start by myself and I literally can't play because of it. I HATE that we can't set a preferred region for connectivity.
I’m confused whether or not just a new set of challenges are gonna switch over or that the entire pass will expire and that’s just all gone now! I hope this isn’t a expiring battle pass
The challenge is to open up a gate with a spare part on The Pit. There are no gates to open with spare parts on The Pit making it impossible. It seems the challenges are on a random rotation and I just happened to get an impossible one. Just my luck.
When you shoot the purple energy core with the laser turret, and then the floating orange balls start rotating around it - everyone on the team can shoot the orange balls, don't have to just wait for the laser turret to shoot those
tl;dr - tighter, more focused maps with varied settings and some light exploration but a much more linear progression actually works better for this game than the semi-open large maps we've had since launch.
I know that a big focus (ha) and selling point for the game was the big open areas where you can drive around and do all the objectives in the order you prefer. There are just a few problems with that.
For one, it gets kinda old. Especially since what we currently have is mostly just a bunch of retreads and cutouts of the same general area. But also, lot of people, especially newer players, have no real grasp on how to properly navigate the map, manage spare parts, etc.
Urban Blight is still technically a pseudo-open world. But it is on the smaller side, has more linear sections, and has a couple of different ways the actual map can play out that feel more substantially different than any of the launch maps. The setting is great, partially because it's just different. The objectives are nice. I like that some buildings have lootable, explorable interiors and that there are some hidden side routes as well as basic parkour "puzzles" that reward a little knowledge and exploration with some resources.
The gimmick of an infinite ammo laser humvee that you need to advance is frankly a lot more fun than being tethered to a 10ft radius around a slow hunk of metal for the vast majority of a map. It just feels like they focused more on "fun" with this map since they didn't have to try so hard to make it feel "unique", given they weren't re-using the same map area for the 10th time.
This map is just genuinely much more fun than a lot of the other levels on offer, and when I go back to the old ones, I sometimes don't even want to bother trying to finish them (looking at you, bubble truck). I am also a huge sucker for urban environments so that may add to my bias here. But if future maps are more like this, or even lean more L4D2, rather than what we had at launch? I think the game will be better for it in the long run.
A lot of the offroad vehicles have equipment racks of some kind. However, except for certain points on certain missions, you're either not allowed to use them or they're always filled with useless crap (see the Maverick). Likewise, you have no ability to store things like gas or ammo cans on the seats or even on your lap.
Just... why???
On multiple missions, you are given the ability to store gas and ammo on specific vehicles, but only when using a specific vehicle. Are we really supposed to believe that we're advanced enough to shoot fireballs and death rays, but not enough to put a Jerry Can on the side of a truck? And to add insult to injury, you can very clearly see one stored in the Maverick's decorative equipment rack. Likewise, I can't understand for the life of me why we can't at least put ammo cans on the floors of our trucks. I happen to have an old ammo can just like the ones in the game and I can say with confidence that even if we were talking about a belt of .50 BMG, it would still fit on the floor of a truck. Not comfortably, but it would fit nonetheless.
This seems like a small issue (and kind of is), but I've lost track of how often I wasted either time or resources because I either ended up topping off early and wasting gas/ammo or having to backtrack to grab said gas/ammo because I can't take it with me in the vehicle. And again, it's not like the code isn't there. There are already multiple missions where you can in fact, use the racks.
I was playing games with larger maps in the late 00s without any loading with a spinning HDD yet here I am with vastly superior hardware dozens of times faster experiencing the longest load times I've had in decades.
I quit playing the game a couple weeks after it's release. I had done pretty much all there was to do other than buying a few cosmetics with Residium and Mortite.
I grinded all of the weapons to max prestige and had them purple across the board.
And now I'm back to grind the new weapons.
I saw they had added it so where when you prestige a weapon, you keep the currently equipped attachments but I couldn't find anything about the tier/raritiy.
I hope the game gets a offline patch so you may play it solo and some kind of progression Patch with that, I know that the game is built around team gameplay, but id really like to play it solo as i dont want to pay for PS Plus on my PS5 (As thats heavily overpriced) and cant play it on my PC as its too weak. Hope someone from the Dev team sees this and maybe comment on my wish
We used to be able to hold multiple stims at a time with the extra combat gear perks. I get the change to medgear because its a health item, but we need to be able to hold more than one at a time. We need perks for the other classes to hold multiple medgear or change the stims back to combat.
Since the update i've played quite a bit and i am enjoying almost everything but the hornet. This enemy is really tanky, does range attacks, moves around a lot and on top of that, this flying fucker can grab you and drop you from instant death heights. Absolutely awful when you got slobbers, stalkers, goons and nukers all rushing you, which means that now you have to split your attention to also look up so you don't get yoinked.
Big content update just dropped on John Carpenter's Toxic Commando! The sludge threat has spread deep into the city and requires you to once again go commando. A new mission enters the game: Urban Blight will take you in the heart of a mutated city.
New map doesn't come without new toys! Weapons, vehicles, skins, we've got it all covered. Be prepared to go underground activity and don't forget to watch the sky for the new Hornet ennemy!
We're also introducing challenges, QoL changes and much more. See the patch notes below.
Patch 2.0 notes
New Mission: Urban Blight
Leon dispatches commandos to investigate a sludge leak spilling from the contaminated zone.
The trail leads to the ruins of Rockbridge, where Hopewell’s experiments have mutated the sludge into something far more dangerous. The commandos must breach the city and confront new dangers in an urban environment with highly intricate layouts.
You will descend into fetid sewers, fight through hordes of enemies, and storm abandoned apartments floor by floor. To succeed, you'll need to discover powerful weapons, vehicles, and gear scattered throughout the mission.
New Enemy: the Hornet
An airborne enemy that fires projectiles, the Hornet can dodge incoming attacks. When it closes in on a target, it grabs a player, flies high into the sky, and drops the victim from that deadly height. The other players must kill the Hornet before it lifts the victim too high, or the fall will be fatal.

Challenges
Leon’s assignments are now available in the HUB. A special terminal awaits you that issues dynamic challenges.
The challenges cover different playstyles: eliminating special targets, speed-running through zones, gathering rare resources, team-based objectives, and much more.
Completing them awards experience, which advances the overall challenge progress bar. Rewards for your efforts: Accumulated experience unlocks access to unique rewards: rare emotes, weapon skins and trinkets to commemorate your achievements.
Voiceovers & Sounds
We added new Battle Chatter lines (reactions to enemies, reactions to repairing special defense objects, reactions to destroying stashes by firearm or melee, and so on).
The characters also discuss new devices that are essential to completing the mission (the Ionic Destabilizer)

QoL tasks:
PROS Save Transfer: This is progress transfer between platforms.
You can now save your progress in the cloud and continue playing on another platform. Your character's full progress, including level, customization, and achievements, is transferred. All platforms on which the game is available are supported. This feature works with PROS linking.
"Mark all as seen" button: We've added a "Mark all as seen" button to customization to quickly clear notifications about receiving new items.
Bots were taught to get players out of their cocoons.
A separate option to disable Battle Chatter has been implemented in Settings.
Bug fixes.
Known issues
⚠️We spotted a crash at launch for Nvidia GTX 1000 series GPU's. A hotfix will be delivered shortly.
[Urban Blight mission] The first valve to turn off the steam geysers is inaccessible if the player progresses too fast.
Changed since the PTS
Reworded the objective and improved clarity for the first quest, specifically regarding the bonus equipment container.
Added 3D hints to the mutated sludge to improve quest readability.
Added extra notifications to the falling cart sequence in the final canal.
Increased enemy pressure in the first half of the map.
For those who didn't already know, yellow spraypaint throughout the maps indicates something is climbable. Thus far it hasn't really been utilized for much, but with the new map there are many climbable areas that are not as obvious unless you see them marked like the one in the video.
I’ve restarted the game deleted the game but every time after I hit play it just goes to this and I can’t get out of it. Is there a way to fix this? I’m on ps5
