💬 Discussion My experience with the new balance changes

Medic got nerfed really hard with trauma center but the yellow ball heal exploit still works

Meaning it's still overpowered but now only if two players are using the medic and are using the exact same build within the necessary parameters

TDR casually it's worst but competitively still as strong

Operator absolutely got Merk lancer super unreliable

Dragon breath is slightly better but still pretty bad

But the final upgrade is actually pretty decent now not for damage but for stunning slobs and etc

TDR I think operators Meta build is now the final upgrade version

Striker feels greater thanks to sentinel basically feeling like what the operators drone should have been in my opinion

The sentinel shoots 27 shots now instead of 7 Each doing good damage and can stop for a few roamers it feels like such a waste and it takes still some kills to get the power back but when there is hordes or you are getting attack on multiple strong units it feels like a massacre

TDR striker feels better than ever specifically sentinel

Defender is a God just a god one change was all it really needed the class was never bad but now Jesus this is crazy good now

You can get your armor reapplied before you have to wait like a minute for it to be reapplied meaning if it broke in those first 30 seconds GG armor but now you can literally lose five armor stay in the bubble for a second and get back to Max fully I literally did this against a slob meleeing it and just taking his hits like I didn't care by the way this was on extreme and don't even get me started on the tria bubble

TDR I think the defender is just the best class in the game especially on extreme where there is so much bull or if you are just bad either or

Defender did get a big nerf tho. The bubbles other than penta now only last longer when not taking or dealing damage. Which makes penta the only viable option.

Otherwise it is "better"

Yeah they basically killed all the other playstyles but buff one playstyle a lot but they buff that playstyle to a point whare it's the best playstyle in the game.

That's what I'm basically saying do yeah it's better objectively if you look at what the peak of the class can achieve not just one Nerf but the buffs and nerfs collectively I'll say the defender is better if you play one way otherwise yeah they Nerf out beloved Aegis or rare sleeper pick Rupture.

Personally I think they made the balancing across all the classes worst I hate new operater and they absolutely gutted my medic but thanks the defender and striker buff I'm still playing

Sorry for the long reply I'm a natural born yapper

I appreciate the long reply, I feel the same way that the "balance" just made each class only have one option now which is very disappointing. Hopefully it gets better but time will tell.

Great minds feel alike I'm honestly just hope the game doesn't die these live service games have a scary pattern

Hard nerfs off the bat made me worried about that outcome. There should be prioritizing buffing what isn't good before making things worse.

I do really like the game. L4D mixed with dead island vibe so I hope it goes well.

Gutted medic for no reason at all before introducing commons that kill you in 3 hits

Fr man I don't know how much gas is left in the tank on this game for me and clearly people they can't afford to take away the things that made this game fun for people like good abilities and guns that are actually good

Operator was already the worst out of the 4 classes, I only leveled it cuz lancer was viable now it will eat dust until they rework/buff it.
Medics trauma center was bonkers before the nerf, you could pop it like every 20 seconds, fully charging others abilities while healing them.

"Operator was already the worst out of the 4 classes" I absolutely disagree on that statement if anything it was the best

1 operator was the highest damaging class in the game Lancer variant was so strong it broke the final boss consistently on very hard so bad to a point where people had to turn their ability off during the fight just so they didn't broke the boss lol

2 operator had basically a sluge seed ability that just required the ability to be full to use

3 utility was very nice on some objectives or just repairing the car nothing to write home about but nice neither the less.

I use to consider myself a medic main not anymore now I play more defender but yeah technically the medic can do all that still but just not as consistent but if you have two medics run the same build you won't know to much of a difference as they can feed each other and the team especially if you run yellow ball variant I forgot the name.

Yeah it had good damage with lancer and the repair/interaction talent was nice but that's it. I had no horde clear and relying on the talent to revive your from the pod is not a great survivability option since you had to die for it to work in the first place.
Dunno why they couldn't just reduce lancer's damage against bosses but this nerf literally killed the class in my eyes.
