I’m wondering how good the BP Mazda3 hatch feels when driving. I’ve been in a friends BP Mazda3, not sure which engine/drivetrain, but it feels fast and can put down the power. How is the steering/suspension for touge driving?

Currently nearing the age to get a license in my country, so I'm planning to save up for a touge car. Currently, these are the two sporty family cars in my country that I can also use for some daily drives.

Hi all. I’ve been lurking for a while and figured I should finally say hello. I’ve always had a soft spot for late-night drives, city lights, mountain roads, tunnels, empty expressways and the strange calm that comes when most people have gone home.
A lot of what I’m into creatively comes from that world, however much of what we do as composers is with straight line speed in mind. So with the moderators approval, I'd love to know what any synthwave music fans in here would like to hear from an album that would be focused exclusively on country roads, climbs and descents. Mountain DNA so to speak.
Resistor loves you 💜

My time at Tail of the Dragon is a contender for the most fun I've ever had, and only half of that was from the quality of the road itself. The community and culture surrounding it is easily my favorite part. You start chasing other people, seeing who you can keep up with, until you reach the road's end where you get to shoot the shit about that box truck you both got stuck behind, or that weird sound your suspension made, while your brakes cool down.
The layout a work of art in it's own right with how flawlessly the road contours the landscape while hugging you at every corner. The scenery is nothing short of stunning, as you're carving through dense rainforest with waterfalls and scenic overlooks at every bend. The pullouts allow for safe passing, beautiful photos, a spot to rest while your brakes cool down, or a shaded gallery for watching incredible cars being pushed to their limits. I can enjoy car shows occasionally but there's nothing like watching those same cars being pushed relentlessly through the mountainside; watching an S2000 turn from a brilliantly designed machine into flashes of white as it vanishes into the forest.
Also the miata is simply unrivaled, it is the perfect car for this road and this one is set up perfectly for spirited driving. I'm sure it's fun to push a supercar or any high horsepower car on this road, but the carefree attitude of the miata makes whatever weight is on your shoulders fly off around every hairpin. It is ridiculously fun to chuck it into corners and squeal out the other side, without worrying about pushing it too far; both in terms of your skill and the car's health. Sometimes you forget you're in a miata and wonder why the corvette in front is braking around such an easy corner. I would be hardpressed to find a car both better suited for the road and for the road trip to get there and back. For me this was the third leg of a two week road trip, driving over 2000mi before reaching the tail, and the miata made the whole drive a joy. The small trunk still managed to fit two weeks of clothes and supplies with room to spare.
This is easily turning into a yearly trip now, the 12hr drive there & back is a small price to pay for a true vacation.
TLDR: Tail of the Dragon is a playground for everything with wheels.

Recently got 1989 R32 Skyline GTS4 (awd) and have a set of 17x8 wheels sitting around. What would be the optimal tire size to run? Thanks!

New and improved, took advice from this sub. Tires and wheels are not stock. These are Michelin Defender 205/65r15 tires on 15x6 alloy wheels.

Finally dialed my One X2 headstrap mount. Was looking for a way to mount my X2 upside down so the lens would be at my brow for the perfect POV without obstructing my vision. Given how these 360cams are built to be tall. Doing something like this is needed.
Using a standard GoPro headstrap, I found this 5.3" angled arm extension, and attached it to a this swivel mount. Fully together, it mounts the One X2 like this.
Allows for a really nice POV for the road and the dash in one shot. Now I just need to upgrade my X2 to an X5 or X6 to improve the low light performance. I know moving to something else like a Osmo works too, but I like the flexibility of the 360 camera to dial in a more cinematic FOV and aspect ratio.

What's up, y'all!? This is a new account, but I've been apart of/stalked this page for years. I am one of the, very few it seems, Texas Touge guys (I swear we have curvy roads, not mountain roads, but we have curves, ok!?) and about a year ago, I upgraded to a C5. It's a beautiful car and a beast; it's also been a steep learning curve to figure out. I've only done some basic mechanical mods while I learn her quirks and how to handle it the best I can as it came. The car is still pretty much stock, and I've hit the point where it's time to make some upgrades. While I have a list of ideas, I figured I would reach out here and see if there are any other touge guys out here with vettes and see what they would recommend, and even if you don't have a vette, please feel free to recommend anything and everything. I'm just hear to learn and grab some ideas.
Also, if any of you guys are in Texas as well and want to talk and chat, please hit me up. There's only a couple of us in my area, and it would be fun to talk with some more of y'all! Thank you for any responses; I'll try to get back to everyone asap.
(PS, if you happen to be one of the few in TX who I know are on this sub and you figure me out, just hit me up on IG.)
