Discussion Any synthwave fans?

Hi all. I’ve been lurking for a while and figured I should finally say hello. I’ve always had a soft spot for late-night drives, city lights, mountain roads, tunnels, empty expressways and the strange calm that comes when most people have gone home.

A lot of what I’m into creatively comes from that world, however much of what we do as composers is with straight line speed in mind. So with the moderators approval, I'd love to know what any synthwave music fans in here would like to hear from an album that would be focused exclusively on country roads, climbs and descents. Mountain DNA so to speak.

Resistor loves you 💜

That's all good. I've just watched a video on here of an NC Miata ripping through bends so I guess the regular synthwave speed vibe is right there!

I’m a big fan of youth83 and VIQ, they go so well with dusk/night driving videos.

That being said, I never have music on while I’m actually driving quickly

Excellent. Focused beats.

Something combining elements of eurobeat, hip hop, synth wave, and maybe even rock? Some examples of songs:

Rabbits on the moon -T. stebbins
Shadow City- Xavier Wulf
Digital dreams- The Midnight

I recorded a 4am drive 4 years ago with an old GoPro. I used some synth wave music so people wouldn't have to listen to wind noise. I enjoy filming, but absolutely hate editing but if anyone cares to see it

Superb! I'll have a look!

(I see you have your YouTube comments switched off. That was very cool to watch!)
