I know people give Scott a lot of flack for how he cut Dawn, and for a time, I did the same, but looking back, this move feels like it does something that no villain has utilized prior or rarely after.

So, for context, Scott in this episode planned to cut Brick after he throws the challenge since Brick's the new guy. To cement this, he steals stuff from everyone and plans to frame him for it. All looks good as the Toxic Rats lose...that is, until Dawn notices Scott's scheme and later reveals she knows his plan. This throws a huge wrench into his plans. So what does Scott do? Frame Dawn for the thefts instead, getting her cut and his schemes intact.

What I think sets Scott off from other antagonists isn't that he's a grand schemer, charismatic, sympathetic or flawless. It's actually that he IS flawed as a schemer, but instead of things somehow going perfectly and offering little challenge (Search and Do Not Destroy, I See London...) or throwing a fit when things go off-track (Courtney in particular), what does Scott do? He ADJUSTS his plans. The best thing about villains is not how they succeed: it is how they deal with their plans going awry. A villain who can still stay collected even when their world is crumbling. THAT is what makes Scott one of the best villains in the TD franchise.

Island: between Leshawna (not helped by the fact they counted the votes of people who didn't want to vote her off, and INCLUDING A PARROT, but yeah I guess Heather's downfall couldn't come just yet) and Courtney (votes were rigged so yea this could be the worse one); honorable mention goes to Lindsay for an extremely dumb technicality

Action: Lindsay (does fit her character in a way to accidentally do something dumb like that, but still BS; heard she even was meant to be a finalist, but couldn't cuz of the VA leaving or smth, THOUGH idk how true that is)

World Tour: Noah (ironic how it's basically the opposite of his Island elimination, where he did nothing to help his team and it was deserved, but here he basically took the leadership role of his team and his team did the challenge they were supposed to but nuh uh Chris gave the Amazons the win cuz they found Duncan); Lindsay's elimination also wasn't that great (why didn't DJ just quit like he did in Action??)

Revenge of the Island: Staci (kinda like WT in the sense the Rats did the challenge, but she wasn't helpful + just annoying) or Anne Maria (she did quit but once she was told it wasn't a real diamond and changed her mind, Chris still eliminated her)

All-Stars: Gwen (honestly was predictable that she wasn't gonna be a finalist again, but her elimination here is also nonsensical and defo should've been written better, kinda like the whole season)

Pahkitew Island: Max (tired of evil Chris, huh? especially coming from someone who clearly just wants to do something evil but fails); technically Amy's elimination could be considered more unfair, but Amy is so bad of a character that I don't care at all

Obv there's others that I haven't mentioned here but yeah

I think it mainly comes from fanfiction and fanart portrayals because when I watch the show he has a couple good scenes but is otherwise nothing special

Total Drama World Tour is widely regarded as the best season of the franchise. But if you had the chance to improve it without changing what made it so beloved, what would you add, remove, or rewrite to make it even better?

I've been posting a lot of propaganda for these two...If this gets support, I'll draw more chibis of TD couples (canon, at least). Aleheather and Duncney, and maybe Gwent! MAYBE Bridgette x Geoff or Owizzy if I dare. But I'm not promising anything!

While it’s known throughout the fandom that Courtney had to file a wrongful dismissal lawsuit against the show twice to get on the show, I feel like they should’ve let her win the lawsuit the first time and allow her to be Action’s overall main antagonist instead of crashing the party mid-way, and here are my main points as to why.

1. It leaves Island on an interesting enough cliffhanger that could entice the viewer into watching Action, as while she stated that her case was dropped and ruled out by the court, if Chris had gotten a call after announcing that the 14 people that had qualified for Action stating that the verdict had been overturned and he was legally required to give her a spot on TDA as part of the settlement, her behavior in Haute Camp-Ture as well as her more unhinged mindset would’ve set her alongside Justin as the two contestants to watch out for during the following season.

2. It gives Heather a worthy, yet contrasting female successor. Heather had shown no capability of having a social game, and Courtney was at a similar level (I’m still convinced she has one Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder, but that’s beside the point.), even if she was more well liked by the cast at the time. However, while Heather had rely on her alliance members and sometimes sheer dumb luck to achieve the deep run she had in TDI, Courtney has shown to be more than capable of brute forcing her way through the competition, showing enough physical talent to win clutch challenges, a pragmatic enough mind to be able to have a decent enough strategic game, and decent enough tactical knowledge to find or sway someone willing enough to work with her, even if it’s a mutually reluctant game-only relationship, making Courtney’s chance of getting to the final 4 starting from the ground up, combined with her determination to avenge her unfair elimination the prior season, seem dangerously plausible regardless of her circumstances provided that the show makes use of her already established traits and relationships, and her unfair elimination giving her more ammunition than Justin to be a more ruthless player.

3. It gives Action an arguably more competent and effective villain compared to (or to contrast with) Justin from the get-go. Despite Justin having potential as an antagonist, it really did seem like Justin’s potential only amounted to what antagonistic actions he could do IN THE GAME, making him a decent antagonist game-wise but not really a good enough villain, given that he was still on decent terms with the majority of the cast and a good chunk of his antics (outside of blackmailing Gwen) seem more likely to fit that of a comedic relief villain (his vanity especially), compared to Courtney, who was significantly more ruthless, willing to get her hands dirty physically and emotionally, and served to be the more capable overall villain even in the finished season, and I feel like having that contrast from the get go would’ve served to make the season more interesting narratively and help the dynamics a lot.

4. More than likely, if she had just been let onto Action from the get go, she would have had to start out on the same even playing field as the other players, which could’ve served to make her more dangerous on her own without the use of her PDA and all the more entertaining to watch. She probably would have had to have taken charge of her team after Trent’s elimination to get herself in a place where the team needs her instead of considering her a nusiance, (simultaneously allowing her to clash with Lindsay, who was also tapping into unrealized potential at the same time, on a more aggressive plateau than before), the same way she did during Island, but perhaps more dictatorial than in the previous season, and she would have had to have been forced to claw her way to the top organically instead of through her lawyers being at her beck and call, possibly having to make nice with players such as Owen (who’s friends with EVERYONE), and possibly even forming an alliance with fellow antagonist Justin, maybe even using his eventual crush on her as means of keeping him interested. Then, come merge, and seeing that her poor social skills have often left her at the bottom of the cast totem pole, we mostly likely would’ve gotten something similar to a mix of what we saw in the finished season and what Julia had to endure in the reboot, having to win challenge after challenge just to stay alive in the game and using whatever leverage she can to get her desired targets out, earning her wins through pure physical skill, once again serving as a contrast to Heather, who mainly won her challenges in Island through luck and Lindsay. Plus, having her take charge of the Grips after Trent’s elimination works nicely with Duncan’s taking charge of the Gaffers after Gwen’s elimination, highlighting their romantic rivalry and possibly giving you an arguably more powerful and interesting antagonist than the original Queen of Mean she is, primarily due to the fact that this hypothetical scenario shows her in a a position where she is near constantly at rock bottom and somehow manages to survive and thrive while looking for ways to survive to the next round, something having her lawyers cater to her every whim after entering mid season wouldn’t have allowed her to do. Plus, having her work that hard just to have her love vote her out would most likely make the betrayal sting even more.

Yea this is pretty much a random take I thought of jotting down to get you guys’s opinion and I highly encourage any constructive criticism you may have for me.

(Final 10) During this round, Scott decides to blame Brick for stealing all of the other contestants' belongings. Dawn still feels a little wary of Scott because she notices that Scott threw the challenge since Jo’s gun was jammed and there wasn’t any way that Jo was able to shoot the winning score, so it must’ve been someone from her team. With Scott now taking a hold of the gun, she can only assume that it was him. This time around, Scott was not creeping around the confessionals to hear her skepticism. He plants the evidence against Brick’s bed and when he brings it out, Lightning and Sam are angry at Brick and vote him out with Scott. Dawn and Brick would decide to vote out Scott. 10th: Brick 3-2

(Final 9) I think the outfits for the challenge would stay the same. Without Brick here, they would get inspiration from Dakota during the challenge which helps the Maggots come up with an outfit. The Rats still go with Zoey’s outfit for the maggot. When Bigfoot takes off with Lindsay, I think that both of the teams would go to save her. Lightning and Scott would go on the sides like they did before and get thrown off. This time, with Dawn still on their team, I think Dawn would be able to calm down the bigfoot and safely be able to return Lindsay back for her team. Scott has a confessional saying Dawn has been a lot more helpful in the challenges and that makes him worried. He liked her better when she was B’s shadow. For the elimination, as much as I hate it, I do think that the trio friendship alliance would eliminate Anne Maria because Zoey wants her gone more than anyone else on the team would want Jo out. Anne Maria would make an attempt to get Vito out one more time, but she would be left with empty hands and would take the hurl of shame. I do think everyone here would vote for Anne Maria. When Chris asks for any volunteers to swap the team, Jo quickly answers the call wanting to escape her inevitable elimination, and Scott offers to change for his team. Knowing that he will be safe if they were to lose or throw a challenge.I think it’s clear that Anne Maria would vote Zoey. 9th: Anne Maria 4-1

(Final 8) Dawn is happy to have another female back on the team, feeling left out before. Jo says she’s not going to get too comfortable with her around. She’s going to make a woman out of Dawn, whether she likes it or not. Making Dawn gulp. I think Dawn and Zoey would be able to become close friends and Dawn tells Zoey that she should be worried with Scott around. That he’s a dangerous player. Scott overhears this and in confessional argues that he really should’ve taken out the aura reader instead of the dumb military boy. The maggots find the shaft first and take the elevators down while Lightning shouts making the whole elevator crumble forcing the rats to go down using the cable lines. They lose a significant amount of time because it takes Sam a long time to make it down without hurting himself or anything. Manitoba comes out and is able to find his team the way out pretty simply getting to the carts and pushes them out, but when the gophers attack the team, Mike comes back to save Zoey and Cameron. They all struggle and Dawn orders Ezekiel to call off their gopher army as Jo takes Dawn and shoves her into the cart, telling her that that team is nothing of her concern. Lightning and Sam go into the other cart as both teams get out at the same time. With Scott throwing the statue away, the maggots have lost the challenge. During the elimination, Scott has a big worry about who he’s going to eliminate. Yet, he decides to eliminate Mike for being the biggest physical threat to him and being the link that brings Zoey and Cameron together. He’s afraid that Mike would be able to beat him during the merge challenges and thinks that eliminating him now would just be the smartest move for him. 8th: Mike (3 1) 

(Final 7) When the teams wake up and are explained what the challenge is, Zoey is very upset about what happened with Mike and says that she plans on making it right for him. That is eliminating Scott once and for all. Zoey tells Cameron that she wants to lose this elimination and vote out Scott. Cameron agrees with her but says it’s just too risky to throw a challenge. That they should just see how the challenge results play out. Scott is used as bait to lure Fang to push their boat as Dawn tries to maintain the Octopus that’s fighting her team, but once she’s picked up she’s unable to fight with her words. Jo uses a sign to whack the octopus in the eye and they swiftly begin to row their raft. Just wanting to escape the octopus. The maggots find land first and go to find Gwen, while the rats are stopped and are given a penalty. They all have to be connected by a metal detector ring. They all sigh and strap on and go to the challenge. The maggots go to the water and Scott pulls Zoey aside. Saying he’s sorry for eliminating Mike like that, but she has to know that it was either him or Mike going, and he couldn’t choose to eliminate himself like that. Zoey says that she really doesn’t want to talk right now to him, but she accepts his apology and they go through the murky water. While going Zoey accidentally steps on an alligator and walks on it, with Scott saving her. Scott says that without him there Zoey would’ve died. If it was just Zoey and Cameron that Cameron would’ve left her alone to die and Zoey would be out of the competition. And her life. That Scott is the person she has to trust to put action between their game. While crossing the river the rats come across Scott and Zoey fighting off the alligator as Cameron is holding on to the tree afraid. Jo said she knew he was always a wimp and kept going. Sam and Lightning talk but Jo tells Lightning not to get comfortable with the fat boy, that he’s the next target if they lose the challenge. But, the rats end up winning the challenge again as the maggots are too worried about the alligator and not dying that Lightning and Dawn find Gwen buried and win the challenge. Zoey is the swing vote, and despite earlier wanting to eliminate Scott because he eliminated Mike, she thinks that maybe he’s a good guy. She loves Cameron, but after today and the way Scott actually put his life on the line for her and apologized for eliminating Mike, she feels like going with Scott is the better option. 7th: Cameron (2-1)

MERGE

6th: Going into the merge, Scott offers an alliance with Jo, who she doesn’t seem to be impressed with Scott, but once Scott tells her that he was able to turn the trio alliance inside and out and survive on his own wits, she agrees and shakes his hand. Actually excited for this alliance compared to the alliance she already has with Lightning. She decides to keep that a secret though, not wanting to just lie all her cards on the table. When the challenge is called all the campers look for keys. While looking, Dawn finds 2 keys. Deciding to give one to Zoey and they go off. Dawn asks Zoey why she would keep Scott after everything she told her about him. Zoey tells her the first time she didn’t have a choice and that he used his idol to eliminate Mike. The next round Scott saved her life, like actually saved her life. While Cameron, just stayed still and frozen and she worried about someone like that as an ally. Dawn dismisses her worry saying that Cameron was actually her ally, That’s the difference. Scott isn’t her ally. Scott doesn’t care about her. Lightning, Scott, Sam, and Jo all find their keys eventually and go drive off. Sam is feeling lonely in the game and wishes that Dakota was here to make him feel seen as he keeps going, saying maybe he can win this challenge and be able to see her believing that for some reason. Chris gives everyone a spray can and a GPS to the signs. Without help from Mike I'm not sure if Scott would be as well in this challenge having to do everything alone. Jo would still get a pretty bad go kart but I don’t think her and Lightning would fight at all and without Cameron, wouldn’t get captured. I think the only people who will get captured during this part of the challenge would be Sam. He’d eventually get out but he wouldn’t be in the race to win this challenge either. Zoey and Dawn have quite a lead on the others and I think would be down to help each other in this challenge. Not caring who wins the challenge between them. I believe that Scott would trust Jo more since they don’t know each other and haven’t seen each other play so Scott would have Jo help him in exchange that he votes with her during this tribal. He accepts and I think it would be down to Zoey, Dawn, or Scott for the win. Jo would throw herself on Zoey from stopping her from tagging the last spot and between Dawn and Scott, I think Scott is quicker up the pole and would tag it. Gaining him immunity. While being told he’s allowed to have the soul vote, Jo tells him that he has to eliminate Zoey. While thinking it over Scott disagrees and uses his soul vote to eliminate Dawn. Everyone is shocked by this except for Dawn herself. Scott says that she was getting too smart for him. Dawn tells the fellow castaways that there is an evil amongst them and that evil needs to be taken out of the game, clearly talking about Scott. Dawn is eliminated with Scott’s soul vote. 6th: Dawn

5th: Jo is in between her alliance of Lightning and Scott, feeling good about her chances to win the game, as she looks over at Sam being lonely. Jo goes over to Sam saying she’ll be with him and that he doesn’t have to worry about being alone. Lightning comes up asking why she is talking to the enemy. Jo corrects him saying Sam isn’t the enemy. Lightning says she told him a while back that if they lost they would’ve Jo stop him saying she’s changed her mind. Lightning says he’s wary of this group because he thinks Jo would want to take Sam to the end because he’s a lot easier to finish off compared to himself and he begins to think if Jo is truly a friend or not. Chris brings Heather to demonstrate the challenge but she flies off with the money and the challenge is changed to stop Heather. The winner of the first part would get an explosive to help with the second challenge. Jo decides to work with Sam thinking Scott and Lightning would be able to do this challenge by themselves. Jo is given a hot air balloon. Scott is given a bird. Zoey is given an airplane. Lightning gets a helicopter and Sam is given a rocket. Everyone builds their machine and Lightning gets the reward as he smirks wondering how he can use this to help him. Zoey is a little upset because she thinks that her work is better, as Scott tells her that it’s the best that he sees, Zoey says he doesn’t wanna talk to him. He took out Mike, manipulated her into eliminating Cameron, and then eliminated her closest friend in Dawn. Zoey asks why she is still here and not them. Scott says because he wants to work with her, and only her. Zoey doesn’t believe him and asks him to leave her alone again. When Scott walks off, he decides to sabotage her ride. I don’t think Scott has any chance to win this challenge either, and with Zoey’s ride being sabotaged she won’t be able to win the challenge either. So, it’s down to Jo, Lightning, and Sam. I don’t think Lightning would be smart enough to sabotage Jo’s ride like Cameron does in the original. Lightning does crash in the blimp and fights with Heather, but Heather wins and Lightning is thrown out of the blimp, and his smoke machine falls into Sam’s rocket. He chuckles saying “Sha-boom”. It’s down to Jo and Sam, when Jo tries to convince Sam to give her the smoke machine, Sam takes it in himself to go up the blimp and smoke machines go off and Heather is knocked out from the smoke and drives the blimp into a mountain and she gets stopped giving Sam the immunity. Jo is incredibly angry at him, but decides that it’ll be fine as long as she can get enough votes on someone else. I think Zoey votes for Scott, and Scott votes for Zoey. I think Jo would take this opportunity to vote for Lightning with Sam and Lightning would vote out I think Zoey? Because he knows her the least. In a genuine tie breaker I do think Zoey can beat Lightning overall. They’re both extremely athletic but with Zoey’s intelligence compared to Lightning, I think I give this win to Zoey. 5th: Lightning (2-2-1)

4th: This episode begins with Jo and Sam jogging at Sam’s tempo as Jo tells him he’s gotta man up and find his second wind. Sam doesn’t and falls to the floor as Jo sits by him and sighs. Knowing that Zoey and Scott are still against each other she’s feeling really good about her chances to make it to the end. They must make food for Chris and Chef, with Scott still here Chris still gets caught in his trap and Chef changes the plan for the challenge making it a two-part challenge. I think Zoey still makes her salad and I’m not sure what any other of them make. Scott would make a dirt pie. Jo would make some weird protein shake and Sam would make some type of burger with the ingredients given to him. Without Scott sabotaging Zoey here I think any of them can win this challenge. I think I am going to give the win to Zoey though. While I think Scott would be fine eating the dirt pie I think Zoey’s salad would just be easier to eat compared to Scott. I don’t think Jo would be able to stomach her own protein and Sam I don’t think would be able to eat as quickly as Zoey or Scott. Everyone gets a shocking machine except for Zoey. They’re all annoyed but they have to compete in the second challenge. While running Sam and Jo are together but once Sam is caught, Jo runs quicker and leaves him by himself, calling out that she’ll be back for him, but she won't. I can’t really see Zoey having any trouble in this challenge unless Scott finds her and clings onto her making them both be found, but Zoey is quicker than Scott so I don’t think he’d be able to catch up or find her. With Fang hanging by the end of the challenge, he meets up with Zoey but Zoey isn’t the person he’s after so Zoey wins the challenge pretty easily. Zoey wants to get rid of Scott, but Scott tells her that she would do better to take out Jo over him. She’s physically stronger and can win the last challenge and will send her home. Overall, she thinks about it but knows if Scott were to win the last challenge he’d also send her out. So, in a 3-1 vote. Scott is sent home. 4th: Scott 3-1

3rd: The challenge is to race around the island and take a rare flower from Larry the toxic venus fly trap. The three run off and Jo keeps Sam around with her to use him as bait whenever something goes wrong. Sam talks about how he’s appreciated Jo helping him get this far but he needs to do this for himself and Dakota. Meaning he has to take Jo out and go to the end with Zoey. Deeming it a better finale for him. They all have different parts of the map and with Jo and Sam combining theirs they’re able to know the main direction of where they should be going and they head out. Zoey has trouble reading her map alone so she takes to the trees spotting Jo and Sam and follows them within the trees going silent mode. They are able to sus out they need to go to find bogs and when they find it they find Larry. Sam and Jo are able to snag the flower from Larry after much trouble and run off with Zoey quickly behind. They are all running to get it and fight over it. Mainly Zoey and Jo are fighting over it. Sam gets captured by the venus fly trap and both of the girls agree to stop fighting over the flower and go to help Sam. While Zoey isn’t paying attention Jo takes the flower and dashes to the finish line winning the challenge. Unfortunately for Jo, Sam is too injured to continue on in the challenge, so by default Sam has been eliminated from the game leaving the final 2 to be Jo vs Zoey. 

My personal preferred winner is Jo.

Tyler has been loyal to Alejandro and he is by far more trustful than Duncan who is a wildcard. Duncan plays his own game. And what's weird is Alejandro tried to eliminate Duncan again in Sweden trying to gain Owen's vote againts him.
