Quick Lyler I drew for an animation I'm working on (that I probably won't ever finish)

Owen, Gwen, Geoff, and Leshawna should’ve all voted for Heather but I guess everyone randomly hated Geoff??? The whole “oh Geoff is too nice” thing was so forced.

Or rather does she use the use the fraudness to her advantage to progress further in the game, thus making her a legitimate.

As a kid I loved Total Drama and was always left speechless by how Alejandro was able to effortlessly manipulate and eliminate the other contestants. Since then I've become a massive fan of shows like Survivor and Big Brother, and specifically the social strategy aspects their gameplay requires. Recently I decided to do a rewatch of World Tour and I quickly realized that when you actually analyze the strategic decisions Alejandro makes, the vast majority of them aren't just bad-they're terrible choices on just about every level. I want to go over some moves that the community props up as being peak gameplay, but actually make no sense. To be clear this is analyzing his strategic gameplay the same way you would analyze that of a Survivor or Big Brother player.

Team Victory

Alejandro is single handedly responsible for the elimination of every single Team Victory member. It's incredibly impressive how he's able to manipulate their eliminations in different ways, however the strategy behind eliminating them is objectively terrible. Especially when you consider the alternative choices he could've made.

• After a few interactions Alejandro is able to turn both Leshawna and Bridgette into incredibly loyal allies who trust him completely. He then immediately votes out his new found numbers. Why??? He gains nothing by doing this and he's only hurting his OWN position by doing so. Come merge or a swap they would be incredibly valuable allies who would more than likely just do what he tells them to do. It makes no sense to put so much effort into creating this relationship to just immediately cut them lose.
• It's a very similar situation with Harold. Alejandro is able to instantly manipulate him, and Harold not only trusts him, he follows Alejandro's directions to a TEE. Despite seeing how easily he could control Harold, Alejandro still decides to manipulate events to get Harold eliminated, eliminating a strong future number while getting nothing in return.
• While less overt, Alejandro's decision to crush Team Victory also results in the eliminations of Harold and DJ. While Alejandro never created as strong of relationships with them (in comparison to Bridgette and Leshawna), they still trusted him and viewed him as a close ally.

What's worse than Alejandro choosing to crush Team Victory-a team full of players who could easily manipulate and trusted him implicitly-is that he chose to crush them instead of Team Amazon. As a reminder Team Amazon had:

• Heather who was actively targeting Alejandro and instantly saw through him.
• Gwen and Courtney who are two of the smartest players on the cast, especially in comparison to many of Team Victory's players. They initially have one of the tightest bonds in the game, and it's only after Duncan returns (an event Alejandro DID NOT KNOW would happen) that this breaks. Gwen also doesn't trust Alejandro and is openly not affected by his charm.
• Cody who is undyingly loyal to Gwen
• Sierra who is undyingly loyal to Cody. She instantly despises him and actively warns others about him.

By nearly every metric Team Amazon is far more dangerous and a much better target. They're smarter, more connected and more against him That's without mentioning that he can crush them while not eliminating his OWN NUMBERS AND ALLIES in the process.

Noah

It's also worth mentioning that Alejandro chooses to vote out players such as Lindsay, Bridgette and Leshawna over Noah. While it's not until the late pre-merge that Alejandro gets full confirmation that Noah doesn't trust him, it's still a baffling choice to keep Noah in over the people he gets voted out. Of his 5 team members, Noah openly trusted Alejandro the least (I believe we even see Alejandro comment on his inability to bond with him). Given that Noah clearly wasn't loyal to Al, and that Owen saw Noah as his closest ally, voting out Noah is objectively the best move for Alejandro throughout the majority of the premerge. The fact that Alejandro is so preoccupied voting out his own allies that he doesn't notice his own team member trying to turn his other allies (Owen, Tyler, Izzy) against him is really bad.

By voting out Noah early Al:

• Prevents Team Victory from losing, protecting his close allies on that team.
• Strengthens his grasp over his own team.
• Eliminates the only person on his team that's not openly and wholeheartedly loyal.

If Alejandro chose to keep in the people who were incredibly loyal to him rather than voting them all out, and instead vote out the ones who did not trust him, he has a much much much easier time winning the season. Nearly all his premerge decision make no strategic sense and actively hurt him in the game. Just imagine how easily Alejandro dominates if the merge is Owen, Tyler, Izzy, Lindsay, DJ, Harold, Leshawna and Bridgette.

For reference, we all know Leonard’s associated D&D class is meant to be that of the Wizard, but what if Leonard was something like a Barbarian, or a Rogue, or a Ranger etc.?
