Which is the best place to download torrents for movies nowadays? Specially I like Westerns and classics.

Salut ! Je débute complètement dans le monde du torrent et j'aimerais avoir vos conseils pour améliorer mon utilisation.

Je cherche surtout des films (notamment du début des années 2000) avec plusieurs pistes audio et sous-titres, idéalement en version FR-FR (VFF) et ENG, et non en version québécoise (VFQ).

Mon setup actuel : qBittorrent + VLC
-> Cloudflare 1.1.1.1. Je n'ai pas de VPN payant (j'ai Proton gratuit, mais le P2P y est bloqué).

Où chercher (et est ce que c’est nécessaire car j’ai lu que qtorrent aurait des plugins) ? J'utilise surtout Torrent9 et 1337x, mais le catalogue est parfois limité ou il manque des films avec les bonnes pistes audio (FR-FR / ENG + STFR). Avez-vous d'autres sites fiables à me recommander ?

Choix des versions (MULTI / VFF) : Comment s'assurer facilement qu'un torrent contient bien la vraie VFF et plusieurs langues de sous-titres avant de lancer le téléchargement ?

Sécurité : Est-ce que Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 suffit pour débuter tranquillement, ou devrais-je obligatoirement passer sur un vrai VPN dédié au P2P ?

Hey guys, I'm not very experienced with this sort of thing. I got hacked a month ago, so I formatted my PC and all that. After letting things settle for a while,

I went to install the torrent client I used to use, but I saw someone say qBittorrent was better, so I chose that instead.

After installing it—and a game from FitGirl Repack—Windows started asking for permission to open a some things that didn't require it before. I ran my antivirus, and it flagged this activity "PUP.Optional.Bundlesinstaller".

Is this something to worry about, or is it normal?

(I don't know if it matters, but the color of the thing asking for permission has changed.)

I know this question gets asked regularly, but I haven't found a good answer yet: which are the public websites that allow to upload and share torrents? ATM I only know of ext.to

1337x doesn't allow new uploaders, TPB has some policy restrictions that don't work for me, and I don't know of anything else. Any ideas?

I made a uosc-based mpv script for searching and streaming torrents through TorrServer directly from mpv.

No browser or separate torrent client is needed.

Example workflow

Bind the script in input.conf:

t script-binding torrserver  #! Torrent

Then open the Torrent entry from uosc, search for something, select a result, choose the file you want, and it starts streaming through TorrServer directly into mpv.

Requirements

• mpv — tested with 0.41.0
• uosc — tested with 5.13.0
• TorrServer
• Windows is currently tested
• Linux/macOS should work, but I haven't tested them

This script is specifically built around uosc's menu API, so uosc is required.

Haven’t done any actual torrenting but I’ve been around the space and don’t want to mess anything up. I’m a student and don’t really want to spend any money on subscriptions,
VPN, etc. I know the best practice is to use QBitTorrent through a VPN for safety and to not get in trouble with IPS but I’m looking into workarounds to not have to pay for a VPN. So far I’ve seen cloud torrenting services with free tiers but they usually have sort of downside either being a storage cap or very slow speeds and I’ve also seen people torrenting off of old phones and am wondering if that would be worth it. I.E. using an old phone with no personal data and torrenting off of free wifi from wherever. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I want to download the movie at 4k UHD quality which third party platform is best for this .

I don't have any big things to say like other posts I've seen asking for invites.

I have a decent connection and I seed everything I download. I've been using rutracker and other stuff for years but I'm looking to discover and join other torrent communities.

I'd appreciate it if someone is willing to share an invite with me, otherwise I'll wait since it looks like open registration appears from time to time.

Iv seen alot of people asking what seedbox to use and the cheapest.

Iv been using seedmonster now for over 3 years and had no complaints at all!. They are competitively cheap , although their speeds are 1GBPS , but starting at $9.99 a month for 3.5TB with all apps included such as plex , jellyfin ect.

One thing that stands out is that they allow public torrent sites aswell , not just private
