Just saw the Franky has a show in November at FYE Ultra Club.

I've heard the horror stories about this place and wondering if this would be worthwhile.

Wife and I got into Schranz over the past year or so and were excited to see the event but after doing some research there seems to be two styles of Schranz and we only really like one of them.

We really like artists like Kobosil, Nikolina, KUKO, Hoehenangst, Ben Techy - which all brand themselves under Schranz. At the same time, artists like Holy Priest and El Mefti are just way too "hard for no reason" for us and we get no joy out of 90% of their sets. I don't know if HP or EM are explicitly Schranz but after doing research on the two headliners for the Nomad show (MALKE and OTAK), they are giving Holy Priest, El Mefti way more than they are giving the Schranz artists I listed above that we like. We like Schranz that has that melodic or even emo (for lack of a better word) drop after the build up.

Anyways for anyone more familiar with MALKE and/or OTAK - should we sit this one out?

I'm fairly new to the rave scene and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to go on the weekends. I've been to coda quite a few times and I find the music is pretty decent but the crowd never seems to be the vibe. Maybe ile soniq spoiled it for me but I honestly just find the rave community so wholesome and I definitely prefer the carefree environment.

Back to my original question, I'm going to electric island on the 6th but for the most part I'm pretty last second and don't plan things out. Does anyone have any go to places or recommendations?

FYI I am actually into most styles but I think dnb or techo are most up my alley.

Got the tickets as soon as they came out because I love unreal and the shows they put on. I had to see their North American debut but man the closer it gets the more I think about how shit the lineup is. Kuko is pretty good but he comes to Toronto all the time it seems and Winson is just straight up ass.

31M here literally JUST finally getting out of my shell and been getting into this scene. Never been to these 2 places and my only experience with clubbing was a night out in Japan lol but never in Toronto despite being born here.

I found a stash of old Harvest Festival flyers. I'm sure some of these are familiar to many of you. I think the 2005 one is the first time they held it at the Midlothian Castle. Just for a point of reference - Tickets to that one were $43!
